I'll definitely be using this. I'll have enough credits and guardian mats once I return from guardian space, and the rest of the engineering shouldn't be too bad
It's the best small ship anything. Outside of a Vulture for combat. It's ridiculously fast (over 600 boost fully combat heavy), great turn rates, good shield, good utilities, decent hardpoints, great optional internals... It really makes most small ships entirely pointless.
@InZomnia365 Yeah, I agree it's an amazing ship. Dolphin and DBX still beat it out for jump range, though. But also, to be fair, to a lot of players, all small ships are pointless. As a small ship enthusiast, though, it's nice to finally get a new ship.
Imho, any Sensors that are Class 4 and below really don't benefit too much from Lightweight at all. Long Range on them makes so much more sense since the Class 3D goes from 2 Tons to 4. Barely a difference Jumprange imo.
It depends on many factors, certain small ships a few tons makes a big difference. Also, from what I understand, the sensor range doesn't really make a difference against the goids, so I just lightweight. But in say the imp courier, 1 ton difference might lose 40 m/s of boost, it really depends. If I were building this as a general combat ship, I'd do 3D and long range to level 3, it's a good mix of weight and sensor range. All that being said, you're 100% right for the Cobra Mk5, it has a lot of leeway with weight while still maintaining most of it's speed.
I don't have access to the Mandalay yet, but the same basic build principles should work. It's going to be hard to bomb without synthing heat sinks or a thermal vent beam laser.
It's a great little Titan bomber. Thanks for posting this walkthrough!
@@GalnetDigest Thank you. I have a feeling the Cobra mk5 is going to be a great ship overall.
I love this ship as a titan bomber and I can do at lest 3 runs before I have to repair and resupply. Thank you for the post o7
@shawnthomas799 Yeah, it's an amazing ship for bombing, it bridges the gap between small and medium.

@@redsojourn9069 Hope you enjoy the ship
Good job man! I’ve not built one yet but was thinking about one. 07

how to engineer caustic sink and where to do so?

what gui settings? please tell me
I'm using the EDHM UI program, the colors are the red and white preset with some tweaks.

Would you mind running one for a mandalay, unengineered?

@Slamscape-X yep, figured that out the hard way lol
