Like the way you show the skyview of both the external & internal layouts, the details of the accessories, dimensions, capacities and finally the prices.
The two black custom Dodge vans are from the movie " Slither" James Caan and Peter Boyle were in the movie. I haven't seen the movie in years and would like to see it again.
The RVs featured are Discoverers by Rectrans. My dad bought it in 1973 and sold it last month (October 2021). My dad converted it from Dodge gas to a Ram Cummins Turbodiesel, professionally repainted with boat paint. I have better pictures to feature the model vs those on internet.
Loved the last one! I like the freedom of just using diesel to run the entire RV! I have an Itasca Merc Sprinter 25ft I love it accept 2 things and they are the Fuel tank should be larger and the Propane tank is way to small! Approximately 13-16 MPG is good the but the fuel tank is less than 30 gallons so you stop often or at least have to plan your trip to make sure you can fuel up when needed! The Propane tank won’t keep the Generator going more than a day I think? I’ve used it 3- 4 hours at a time and severely lowered the tank!
Thanks for the insight. How long now have you been living in your camper van? Do you find it roomie enough for two or three people? Are you stationary or traveling?
Boy, these camper vans have come a long way since I was a kid. It doesn't seem like you are camping with all those amenities. Cool video, thanks Reacher... stay safe.
Many people prefer to buy second hand and not have to wait for delivery either, consequentially the prices for used ones are kept relatively high, providing its checked and maintained of course.
Enjoyed the video. One thing to point out, most of the european units do not have AC. ( look at the roofs) I always like seeing these, like to check if there's anything I would add to mine. You give a very upbeat viewpoint of these, which is nice. I'm usually much more critical ( retired engineer ) and I guess that's harder to listen to. You have a good voice for this too.
@@reacher6874 The Europeans in general are not very big on AC, or ice cubes for drinks etc. In Germany for example beer is not served very cold at all. "Ice Cold Beer" is not a sign you will see there. My buddy, who speaks no German, was trying to get a colder bottled fruit drink from a vendor who did not speak English. She had given him the coldest one she had, but it was only slightly chilled. I asker her (in German )for ice cubes, but she had no ice either. If you ask for "ice" in German, it's actually the word for ice cream. Just a different way folks live. No AC in the local ER at the hospital where one of our party wound up after an accident. So they are just not used to AC.
Have you heard of Hobby Caravans from Germany before? They are beautifully built units. I had a prestige caravan in 84 and miss it terribly. Thanks for the ability to dream of adventures Cheers
I almost hit dislike, until I found the one on the list that's in the US. I still didn't hit like though, since the other nine are all in Europe. Cool for them though.

The best was no.5 winchcombe , imo. Convenient n the most realistic for a van! Chairs for 4 n a bed for 2 people=) Many vans put too much bed &sacrificed the bathroom n the conveniences. For 3/more beds , they should use a bus !
The catch as always with camper vans and motor homes is the payload you really have to pay attention to this, most seem to account for two adults plus children plus luggage plus fuel and water and food.

Great video, would have loved to see a complete walk through of the vans ( even if quick) rather than quickly switching pictures but still an excellent video.
Is it a Rectrans or something like that? Daddy had one when I was a little girl and it was already old when I was born In 82. I remember he sold it when I was 6 or 7 and got a Pacearrow Executive.
Can you make a video for what kind of vehicles would be best for living full time via van life? I’m interested in moving out of my apartment and intrigued in that lifestyle.
Hey, Don't give up...if you are employed, you just might be able to make a deal with an RV dealer...look into it...Google the make and model. You just might qualify...never give up! Good Luck!⚘
The real cost of course is not the initial layout in one lump sum, the real cost is the interest and depreciation, because they're specialist vehicles their depreciation is relatively low compared to a car the same price so finance and insurance companies regard them as a low risk, loans are usually cheap and plentiful with low deposits, together with low insurance.
There are only two models that are practical for a couple (who don't need large seating areas or multiple beds and extra seating for traveling). That is model 2 and 1. Shame, since most van life users are couples.
i like the cabnets of #3 ,, has shoulder and head room in mind , but i would have to # 5 it has grate space for a Yong couple that works by computer to sit on the driver chair and passenger chear to work on a laptop or even desk top computer placed in the storage space of one of the bench seats and have the monitor hanging down from the roof or have a structor made to hook up to the side of the bench seat's . yet you'd have to jump over the bed during night time if working from that spot . yet theirs more walking spaceon the other side of the bed yet number 10 the ford high top , is excellent for one person ..
