The amount of work and dedication that apple puts just to prevent its users to service their own phones is actually frightening. They’re soo passionate at it, i bet apple had a whole team on their HQ called “anti service team”
@@dc-yu9mv And that's largely because Apple's gotten away with it for so long, and with Apple it's not even just limited to their phones. Their laptops, their desktops, literally every product they make is designed to be as unrepairable as possible. Just because Samsung and other companies are starting to do it now too doesn't make it okay. Not only is it anti-consumer, it contributes massively to e-waste when these companies straight up design their devices to be throw out every couple of years.
@@dc-yu9mv Do they? I've heard of the A51s "software lock" but that seems to be a recalibration issue that only affects the fingerprint sensor due to the end user not having access to recalibration software, rather than being a software lock. Otherwise even the most recent Samsung flagship seems to be extremely modular. I'm not sure how bad their other products are to repair, but that seems to be the only issues I've heard of with their products in terms of repairability thus far. Have they been talking about making repairs harder? I might want to switch away from Samsung if that's the case then.

Their entire consumer base is full of people who just don't care about the specs or usability of the product, they just care about having the newest most expensive thing on the market to show off. I know from an Android/gas engine perspective it makes ZERO sense why this product is so anti-repair and anti-consumer, but if I put myself in their shoes. Why would I as an iPhone user ever need to repair my phone? I can just go to Apple for that, I got the money! Why would I as a Tesla driver ever need to repair my car? I can just go to a Tesla dealership for that, I got the money!
The longer the icon of apple is on earth, the more easy to fail and difficult to repair its products will become.
