Seeing you happy while listening to Boy with luv makes me so happy lol, they'll do that you for real. Little story: My dad was a hardcore rap fan, rarely listened to any other genre and about a week or two before he passed away I had the pleasure of being able to introduce him to bts in 2021 and he fell in love with not only the rap but all of the other genres of music that bts had, it was an amazing sight to see I'll say haha. His favorite song was Boy With Luv so you enjoying it kind of reminded me of him
Also, since you watched "run" it's only like carved into the great bora streets that you now have to watch "I need U". Those two go hand in hand (usually "I need U" first) and they are the start of the BTS Universe (correct me if I'm wrong ARMYS). Literal masterpeices, if you like cinematic production of music videos, I need U is a must

@@brochiachekpop Confusion will definitely always be there especially for anything that has to do with the BU. For I need U (when you do get around to watching it) I suggest maybe 2 watches, once paying attention to lyrics and once paying attention to visuals. You could easily choose however you want to watch it and watch more times on your free time though, I'm not one to try and dictate how a reactor reacts, I'm happy either way lol
I'm not sure if anyone suggested the guide to Bangtan 7 by Taylor yet but once you think you're ready to learn more about the group and the members individually I definitely recommend Taylor's guide. Have a good day/afternoon/night 💜
The thing you were saying about the truck and yet to come, you guessed it right, yet to come contains several re-created clips/props from their old mvs it was kind of like a throwback to their older songs (specially the hyyh era) because after yet to come we finally let go the hyyh and the storyline and started a new chapter (honestly we can never let go that era💀)
BTS makes A LOT of songs that are extremely deep and meaningful, they really are so comforting. Some song recommendations are "Louder Than Bombs" "Magic Shop" "Tomorrow" and "Autumn Leaves". Of course, if you like songs with heavy rap, I recommend any Agust D song (Suga's alter ego), and the cyphers as well as "Tear"💜

the run mv is actually a part of a bigger storyline that bts have told through different music videos, writing, and even a comic! other important videos for the story are I Need U, Euphoria, Epilogue: Young Forever, Epiphany, Film Out, and more!
the story line is pretty complex but super interesting, i definitely recommend checking more of it out :)

Hey armies, does anyone know if they are finished with their painting Universe stories already? I mean after they had "answer" of the LYS franchise, and some other songs like F.O. what else do they need to add...outside of Fulfillment of their Dreams. Ya know, sort of like ON.
There is an absolute ton of symbolism in BTS videos and ON is no different. This particular video has a lot of Biblical references. I'm not an expert, so I don't remember them all, but I can tell you a few. The white birds are doves. They represent peace. The death of the bird in the beginning means the end of peace and the resurrection of the bird means the return of peace. The 7 birds at the end represent the 7 members of the group and with the return of peace, you see the land restored and flourish. The walled city that Jungkook escapes from represents the walled city of Jericho. The horn and drums are related to the fall of Jericho in the Bible. The girl is ARMY. The wall that opens up in front of her and V are like the wall from the maze in Maze Runner and the rock that they climb at the end is like Pride Rock from the Lion King. The video has scenes of conflict, of confinement and oppression but the Fall of Jericho led to the Israelites obtaining the Promised Land, as God said that they would, so the end of the video is one of triumph over the conflict, reaching the Promised Land, and the return of peace.
Their debut song was "No More Dream", a song talking about how Korean youth tended to follow the dreams that their parents had for them, rather than their own dreams, so no more dream. Now, with the freedom that they have fought for and obtained, they can dream. Also, their second song was called "N.O" or No Offense. ON is kind of the opposite of that song, or maybe a triumph over the restraints and restrictions that were placed on young adults as described in that song.
BTS has a lot of songs for ARMY and Mikrokosmos is one of them. When BTS stands on the stage in a stadium and looks out at the fans, all they see is literally a sea of lights from the ARMY bombs. It looks a lot like a field of stars. Because of this, you will see references to lights, stars, and the sea in a number of songs. They are all references to ARMY. They also speak of the desert becoming a sea. As in the lifeless desert become an ocean, teaming with life, because of ARMY. Or that change happening for ARMY because of BTS. BTS credits the love and support of ARMY for their success and they reciprocate that love and support in their music. Oh, and if you like the message of Idol, you should definitely check out the song, Epiphany. It's a solo song by Jin. BTS encourages ARMY to love ourselves to the point of having an entire trilogy of "Love Yourself" albums. The love and support between BTS and ARMY is one of the reasons why a lot of people become true ARMY, rather than just a casual fan. BTS has literally saved lives with their music, helping people to get through dark times. They are truly an incredible group.

I can't wait for you to watch like from their debut to their recent music in ascending order, because the AMOUNT OF SYMBOLISM in their music videos is insane. Every song is so meaningful and everytime I heard the songs Butterfly, Run, Sea or Spring Day, it makes me want to cry. Not to mention, their beautiful live performances for End of Year awards in South Korea are insane.
24:13 yeah! most if not all of BTS’ MVs are apart of this big storyline and in yet to come they have a lot of references to music videos of the past and a lot of references to their pasts in general, i think its pretty cool !

Mikrokosmos is the relationship between BTS and ARMY, one of the many songs that BTS has made for their relationships. If you go to a concert you will see all the Army bombs in the audience all the lights, they make a dark night full of light, they in turn brightens BTS performances because they know all those lights represents all their Fans. Like you were saying, when BTS or ARMY's darkest nights, they look to each other to comfort each other. That is why BTS always calls out their fans, ARMY, and without ARMY they would not have gotten to world wide status. The ARMY is the backbone of BTS, they support and defend them. BTS also defends their ARMY fans and the many songs that they write for them is a testament to how much they love their fans. You should watch their latest song Take Two live which they posted about a month ago, to celebrate Festa which celebrates BTS and ARMY. Even though 2 members are already in the military, this was prerecorded and posted afterwards. Another song that they made for Army. They may be on hiatus for now as a group, but they are always thinking about their fans.

No More Dream was the name of their very first single/title track(their debut song) off of their first album 2 Cool 4 Skool.
Don't worry if you don't understand a lot at first, I've been an army for a while now and there's still plenty I don't understand even after watching many many reactions and explained videos. If you really want to understand everything then by all means go all in! Otherwise, everything is just as enjoyable when you take it at face value. That's something I really like about BTS, they create songs that are really fun to listen to, but if you want something deeper or lyrics to deconstruct, that same song can satisfy both needs. They're such good artists all around.
Yes! The truck runs through their story line and was definitely featured in Yet to Come! It's kinda neat that you're actually picking up on those clues!

I honestly recommend you, to watch lyrics of the song before watching music videos, because MV's are so important and they have so much story to tell by themselves and you cant miss a single detail. Trying to follow lyrics and MV story in same time is impossible.💜

About Idol, it is a song from their "Love yourself" album, where each song talks about self-love in different ways (my favorite album ❤).
In Idol, they are basically answering to critics they were facing at that time (some are still being said today).
I don't remember them all but to point out a few, there were:
- autotune more used than usual, because they were criticised for it.
- a lot of CGI because people said they used it too much (which is false btw, most of the scenes from their MVs are totally real (like car explosions or the floor falling after Jungkook in Fake Love).
- a lot of colours because some people were making fun of that fact (which is a bit sad, I love their colourful MVs!)
- a lot of references to korean traditions (clothing, symbols, words (like "ursoo")) because they were criticised for being too "western" and neglecting their culture.
- They even answered to targeted critics on the members. For example, Snow-white on Suga's sweater is a reference to critics making fun of his white skin...
Anyway, I think I miss a lot of other references, but I really enjoy to spot them throughout the MV.
When I first heard this song I thought it was a very fun one but now that I understand its meaning and details I feel like its message is more powerful and empowering! That's why I wanted to share it here :)

Yes the pick up truck correlates with “Yet to Come”. There are many references in Yet to come from their previous videos. They all tie in together.
*BOY WITH LUV* - This is an ARMY song, and we love it. RM wrote most of the MOTS: Persona album. about 80% of it. And all but 2 songs were for or about ARMY's.
*ON* - this is a great MV, but ARMY's tend to prefer the Kinetic Manifesto Film version of this, because of the choreography, and the dance break. Also, it went from No More Dream, to Dream. No More Dream was their debut song. Map of the Soul: 7 was supposed to be their last album before they took a break and did their world tour, and mandatory military service. But the pandemic happened, which halted and cancelled all of their plans.
*RUN* - I have a feeling that RUN BTS was the song you were recommended to react to. This song is part of the Bangtan Universe (BU), and I NEED U would have been the best one to start with (I don't think you are ready yet, it's another different rabbit hole). Think of the love as a friends love or a brothers' love. Not necessarily a romantic love. Also, ARMY's ALWAYS WATCH TO THE END OF THEIR VIDEOS. It all matters. And yes, the truck scene was a reference in YET TO COME, and that is why you ALWAYS watch to the end. There are two songs, RUN which was the title track from 2015, on their Most Beautiful Moment In Life Part 2 album, and RUN BTS, which was a B side from their 2022 PROOF Anthology album, which didn't have a music video. But it does have a kick ass dance practice, and you can find a live performance with Eng. subs on RUclips.

I think Idol is one of my favourite BTS tracks. A little backstory. Kpop as we know it - highly stylized, make-up, synchronized dance, etc. isn't very respected in Korea. Sometimes for good reasons, but it's seen as lacking artistry and substance. BTS members, and especially RM, Suga and JHope in the early years, have always been involved with the making of their music and it's filled with their stories, etc. And in particular RM and Suga were both part of the underground Rap scenes in Seoul and Daegu respectively and had been making/producing/releasing music for years before BTS was even finalized and debuted. But they were dissed publically by the HipHop scene as being sell-outs and "girls" for going the way of Idol music. And the Idol industry didn't accept them for being from a small label ("try hards") with little financial backing/clout and for sounding different plus some members were hated for their looks because they didn't meet Korean beauty standards. Hence the cyphers you already reacted to, but Idol is them finally processing the pain and frustration of those years and coming to accept themselves no matter what people call them. Call me an artist, okay, call me an Idol, okay...it doesn't matter because "I" know who I am and what I do and that is all that matters to me. Then add in the shit people have said about them turning their back on their culture and becoming "westernized" and the music itself and the wardrobe, and visual are loaded with culture references, traditional sounds and clothing. DKDKTV has a great explain video. Also their MMA 2018 performance of Idol is next level and actually won them cultural awards...but in it's own way it's a big FU to everyone that's every said shit about them. And to see them perform it for that same industry and on national TV just feel so H** Yeah to me, plus, it's just energetic af.

Jhopes Spanish lyrics are the best. "La muchacha se cayo de un unicorn." __("The girl fell down from the unicorn." LOL ok he doesn't say that but to my Spanish ears it sound like that.
Oh, I forgot to mention... If you'd like to learn the full Korean lyrics, a really easy way to do that is to find a lyric video that has it written in hangeul and roman and then english and then watch it at like .5 speed so you can slowly learn how to pronounce each word. It doesn't take too long and it's really fun to just sing their songs in full while driving. :D

You should listen to 'Run BTS' theres no official MV for it, but the live performance of it is honestly amazing, esp jhope (hes also my bias). It was performed at a free live concert in Busan just before Jin enlisted into the military !!! Defo such a good song
Ya no more dream was debut song. And that scene very well could be from yet to come. I think one of them said all the videos are connected, so people try to come up with theories as to how. And idol is pretty funny. They basically made the video ridiculous on purpose to show that it would still be a hit haha

You got to cover so much in a reaction. Run got you a glimpse into the BU (BTS universe story line that’s weaved throughout their mv story lines). Idol is another video all together and there is a great explanation video by DKDKTV that gives you a lot of insight for the video (and they do several other BTS songs).

So a lot of bts music videos have 1 story line woven through them. The bits that seemed to connect or make you confused where parts of that story. The story itself is pretty hard to explain and spans not only their mvs but books, WEBTOON comics, mobile games and few shorts and art videos. but it’s a fictional story that follows seven boys that the bts members play. There is explanation videos on yt you can check out for an explanation. But I recommend kinda watching their videos in order of release to try and figure out as much of it together yourself as I can. I for one would definitely tune in for that. Glad you are enjoying the the boys. But tbh you are only just barely scratching the surface of their art. So there’s a long way to go if you really want to understand
