Mat we have got a 2006 mercedes benz viano marco polo too and we still love it i think this is the best car in the world and we travelled with it to a lot of countries and it hasnt got any problem after 14 years.🙂 and i think the best feature is the hand washer beacuse after eating in the car on the table we can wash our hand after eating. I am very happy because of this video you made, and i love your videos, greeting from hungary.
I own this car and I can only recommend it. I also had the two generations preceding it. The back-window can actually be opened from the inside with the key and the table isnt as complex as Mat had to experience it. He also didnt do it right but it was his first time so its ok. I also think its a shame that they replaced the curtains with these weird black things but I like them now because they dont tend to brake like the old curtains. And you dont need that weird sheet in the front. I never used it. The Marco Polo is the best car in the world and I would never change it with anything else but a new Marco Polo :) PS: sorry for the brits who cant use the power outlet but if you had stayed in the EU this wouldnt have happend. ;) And sorry for my bad english.
Leaving the EU has created far more problems for us Brits than a non standard mains socket which can easily be changed, to a UK socket by the way. For a start we are no longer take our bacon sandwiches with us when we visit Europe and and we are limited on the amount of booze we can bring back. Worse still because our EU Citizenship was taken away from us, we are can’t stay longer than 90 days.

I drive a V250 now and again at work. They are fabulous motors and even with 7 pax, luggage and golf bags, you wouldn't notice a lack of performance like you would in some of its competitors. They fly along!

Nice honest review. I am on my third California at the moment. VW is front wheel drive, Marco Polo is rear wheel drive - or so I am told. California has a wind out awning as standard. The DSG gear box is excellent I wouldn't swap.

Many Marco Polo owners ditch the dangling storage bag to get more storage space in the rear. Other items that get “thrown” out are the captains chairs in favour of camping chairs that are more easily stored and the cab curtain which gets replaced by an insulated interior or exterior screen cover. The antiquated camper control panel has been integrated into MBUX which replaces the Command satnav shown on the latest model.
Great video Mat it is clear that the people who designed the interior blind arrangements are not Motor Caravaners or they did not spend one night in it!

I literally just watched the video where he slagged the VW California T6 as being expensive, yet likes this, would be interesting to do a review on this and the new California T6.1 together and compare prices deals and optional extras
The Marco Polo may be luxurious, but compared to the VW California it's far away from being "ultimate". I've been driving the California for a couple of years now and wanted to switch to the Marco Polo because of the sake of change. But from a camper's perspektive the Marco Polo feels like a first try on camping by Mercedes. E.g. no possibility for blacking out the sun 100%, only one arm rest per seat, press-studs (!) for toggling the popp-up roof and poor build quality of the camping interior. I was quite shocked seeing knobs fall apart and doors that won't close after a few thousand kilometers. And what is almost hilarious is that the two camping chairs and the camping table use up the whole trunk! This must have been some last minute project like "damn, we forgot to include the chairs an the table, what should we do?! I have an idea, let's use a heavy steel frame and some fabric and make it the size of the trunk!" It realy must have been that way... I was quite dissapointed. Sadly someone must had higher priority for the look than for functionality. It seems that showing of is more important than acutal camping.
Found that really amusing watching Mat put up the table, chairs and blinds. Those blinds were shocking for such an expensive car. Can't wait for a more Star Trek future where we can tap a button and all windows will go opaque.

I live in Warsaw. If you want to buy a flat there it's definitely a good idea. There is also many diffrent districts there, which can be very diffrent from others, so first you should find out where exactly is your dream place in Warsaw.
