Shotgun Messiah was a Swedish glam metal band originally from Skövde formed by guitarist Harry Cody, bassist Tim Skold, and drummer Stixx Galore. Cody and Skold were the mainstays of the band, and along with various personnel released three albums-Shotgun Messiah, Second Coming and Violent New Breed.

I never got to see them live. Harry Cody is one of my all time favorite guitarists. I had the chance to chat w/ him online a few times about 5 years ago, he sent me some Shotgun swag, Promo photos, picks and other stuff. He's a great guy, been doing studio work for soundtracks. His solo work in the song Ride the Storm from the Second Coming album is one of my all time favorite guitar solo's.
I saw these guys right after the cd came out in 1991 I been fan these guys for decades. If u don't like this band and your into hard rock metal .well then their is no hope for ya..second coming is one best albums to come outta that whole Era
The guitar solo in this song sends chills down my spine...gonna go listen to it again.
Tim Skold the singer/Guitarist is from Sweden. He was the bass player for shotgun, the singer left the band after first record and he took over the part and hired Bobby Lycon to play bass. This song is from their 2nd album, their last commercially successful record. Tim also did programming with Marilyn Manson for many albums and formed KMFDM for a string of records!
This song was EXTREEMLY POPULAR!!! Never seen them live.

Not a bad band. Not one I follow or go outta the way to crank it up. I have heard this song a few times on the Hair Metal Nation on XM.

One of my favorite fuck off songs besides Junkyards: Hands off (which you have already done). Never got to see them live, I think I have looked to see if you have ever done Steelheart… almost anything done by them is good. 2 of my favorites if you have never heard them is Late for the party or Steelheart, most reactions of theirs is She’s gone and I’ll never let you go… great songs, just tired of seeing so many reactions on this 2.
Sacrilege you never heard it. Second coming is in the top 5 if not to 3 hair band metal/ hard rock albums! Glad Tim skold took over. He actually co wrote/produced and played bass in Marilyn Manson!
Bad ass band should have made it further but tim skold did create the industrial music way before anyone else thought of. That is true..
