Great video, Jayden! I love the lounges in HKG. So nice they opened the kitchen a bit early for you. The flight seemed nice and it was great you had an open seat next to you. The view from the hotel rooftop was spectacular! So sorry about the food poisoning though.

Your hard work and fun attitude is starting to pay off! The interior of the plane looked so bright and cheerful with that blue. And that airport pool view, wow! This is so cute @ 18:20 - great layover for such a quick stay.
haha thanks Gary! It was the perfect layover. I hate it when it's only a few hours in a city where there's so much to offer. Abu Dhabi being one of them, definitely will take advantage of Etihad's free hotel if I'm there next time haha

Coffee tips in Vietnam: Don't drink at Starbucks. Just go to Highlands Coffee or Phuc Long. Better options in my opinion.

This video reminds me of the original style of IBIS， which has disappeared in mainland China.
Great Video Jayden! I flew this route a few weeks ago and those seats are so much comfier than those on the a350-900 and 777 the food and metal cutlery is world class on this route but however the crew only have one round of drinks and not anything after serving the meal. Also they have a more limited entertainment than their long haul fleet.
2:49 B-LAA. The aircraft that was thrown around violently last week while trying to land into HK in a rainstorm and had to divert to Shenzhen. Lots of people threw up

haha yes South East Asia in general changed so much in the past decade or two. I remember visiting Bangkok frequently since I was 5 (in 2005) and I see it develops. More and more skyscrapers and more train lines

Hi Jayden THANK you for the video meal on plane looked really nice. Hotel room was quite good not that small. Bed that was no good getting sick especially when you had to fly same day HOPE you recovered quickly.

Another great vlog! The Qantas HKG lounge is so much better than the lounges in Sydney, Melbourne etc. It was nice to hear an Aussie accept from the flight deck! It was also nice to see my favourite airline (Air New Zealand) on the ground! Didn't see 6'4" on this trip? So nice that you were recognised, well done!
Hi James! 6'4 was in Sydney then. He didn't join me on this trip (which started off with the Virgin flight to Tokyo) haha. He joined the next trip in which we flew Fiji Airways first.
The room at the IBIS does appear tiny but, it looks cozy! I would like it.

I took CX767 (morning flight) from HKG to SGN last year, pretty good service, and as you said, most of the passengers are in transit in Hong Kong.
And in my opinion, the current economy seat in CX's A330 should be the most comfy among their fleet, although the size of monitor is a bit small in today's standard, but still a good product.
agreed, much prefer the a330 seats over their new 777

The food and ambience in the Cathay first lounges (The Pier and The Wing) is a lot better than the Qantas lounge!

it's a shame, hopefully Qantas or Rex would cover the Bonza's network
Cathay Pacific uses facial recognition smart boarding for boarding flights departing from Hong Kong International Airport, and there is no need to scan the boarding pass. But I most like to use the old manual channel to scan the boarding pass and board the plane. The last time I took a Chinese Domestic flight at Chengdu Tianfu Airport, I saw face recognition verification for boarding.

I tried Cathay for the first time this year from Manila to HK, very surprised on the product of the 330 and the 321neo. I flew on B-LAA aswell on 54A infront of you.
How did you like it by the way. There is a drawback to it from Manila to Hong Kong in both directions more expensive for the ofws that include Cathay Pacific Filipino crews they would be flying Philippine Airlines (🇭🇰🇹🇼 spelling 菲律賓航空)
@@EpicThe112 When I booked the flight it was around 20-30 dollars cheaper, but it was still kinda expensive considering it was the time of Holy Week where locals travel more often. Just not a full meal provided, rather a tray of Beef Noodles with a bottle of water. I tried PAL before, it's the carrier I have flown on the most.
@jasonplayzrblx thank you for telling me about that between the two Airlines A330s and Main Line fleets which one is better PR or CX. If you try asking that question to the channel owner it's actually the other way around CX🇭🇰>PR🇵🇭

That is risky. Provided the AKL HKG is on-time, you’ll make it. Cathay staff will meet you when you get off the plane

This was filmed in mid March. The Vietjet flight to Adelaide was my last flight to Adelaide as a resident there. Left for good later that month. I'll be returning to Australia later this month for a visit, as a tourist :)
