Clowning on the mound, pitching clocks, advertisements on the uniforms. Baseball really is dead. :(
(at least the reserve clause is dead too.) Now if only the MLB could be subject to antitrust laws like other sports.

Completely disagree. I think the rules have made the game better. Shorter games and no more shifts! More hits, stolen bases, and action on the base paths.

@@jbock622 Field shifts go back to the days of Ted Williams, baseball hasn't needed a clock since it was first played on the Elision Fields over 170 years ago and the action of baseball is the contemplation and pondering of inaction. You are supposed to be going over the numbers and stats of each player in your head, looking for those subtle tics, that slight difference in the arm angle that tells you the pitcher is getting tired or frustrated. How the batter responds when he's ahead or behind on the pitch count. How much is the baserunner leaning off the plate? What's his chance to run? Is the Pitcher phased by that? How might that affect his pitching? Is the batter good at exploiting that hesitation? What's the right pitch? What's the hitter expecting? How will he swing? Where will he line his shot? Can the guy on first out run the double play? That's the action of baseball. Always has been.
