For those complaining about OT rules, I feel the same way. Both teams should have possession, but they do this to limit injuries during the regular season
This was the perfect opportunity to go for 2. You’re on the road against an undefeated Chiefs team, it’s raining, and if it goes to overtime, you’re giving one of the league’s best offenses a golden chance to win. With Patrick Mahomes in control, letting the Chiefs start with the ball in OT is almost a guaranteed loss. Against a team like this, you have to seize any edge you can get. For those saying, “You’d be upset if they went for it and missed,” you’re not seeing the full picture. Situational football is about making the smartest call, even if it’s risky. I was all for going for it because I understood the stakes. Go for 2, and you have a real chance to hand the Chiefs their first loss of the season. If you miss, at least you made the call to try and win outright. Handing an undefeated team an OT opportunity is just asking for a loss. This isn’t about playing scared or worrying about hindsight criticism; it’s about reading the situation and making the call that gives you the best shot. Going for 2 was that call.
Lifelong Chiefs fan here, and I'm talking decades, and I was certain the Bucs would go for 2. I also knew that a 2 wasn't guaranteed. When they brought out the kicker, it was clear they knew 2 was a longshot and were thinking they had a better shot of stopping the Chiefs in OT, which wasn't a bad idea since the Chiefs were stopped plenty of times all night long! Mayfield lost the toss, Mahomes was still a bit gimpy...but maddeningly, it seems like the Chiefs NEED to have their backs to the wall to finally get their act together. Lots of conversations on this over the last couple of years and have come to conclusion that Mahomes is keeping the game close in order to keep his players motivated!
I said at the beginning ifvthe season that EVERY team would play the chiefs hard, and they have. Hats off to mayfield and tampa for fighting hard as they could against the increasingly undeniable fact of the chiefs tenacity in their will to win.

Stop with the O.T. rules whinning.. If they don't like it, win it in regulation..O.T. is literally a chance to declare a winner instead of tie.. It's called sudden death for a reason and they already screwed that.
If the bucs win the coinflip they get the ball and the chance to win the game without the chiefs ever touching the ball. Instead it just went the other way because the bucs guessed the wrong side of the coin. Does that seem fair to you?
@@fklmrek437 I doubt Chiefs fans would have been whining about it the next day and the next and the next and the next... We don't have the hate in our hearts that far too much of the NFL fanbase do. BTW, all of the teams loved that OT rule when it gave a win to the Pats over the Chiefs. Y'all only started whining when it benefitted the Chiefs in the Bills AFCC. Does that seem fair to you?
@@columbia2635 I have never liked the rule because its objectively unfair that a team can win without the other team getting a chance purely because of a coinflip. More people just started to realize how unfair the rule was in the bills/chiefs game because both offenses were on fire and everyone knew they would both get a touchdown if given the chance. Also, there is a big difference between whining and complaining. In my eyes, whining is unjustified and more petty, like a lot of people saying that the chiefs only win because of the refs. I think it’s pretty clear that the chiefs are just one of the best teams in the league, and people will cherry pick bad calls or no calls (which are a problem in the league but not for the chiefs specifically) to say that the chiefs are only winning because of refs. When people talk about the ot rules being unfair, that is just an objectively correct statement. You could argue that people are hypocritical and only say it’s unfair when the chiefs win, but I think everyone would still agree that it’s a stupid rule even if the bucs won.
@@slickchick5811 Waaaahhhh....gonna make stuff up because you can't stand the Chiefs because they're winners. BTW, watch every bit of every game before you start claiming it's this one thing. Plenty of bad or missed calls going against the Chiefs...but that doesn't fit your jealous narrative.
Bucs got away with holding Jones a lot with only one call. Refs called several penalties on the Chiefs that weren’t penalties. So let’s here all the crying about how the refs are for the Chiefs and that’s why they won. If they change the overtime rules remember this next year because KC will win with the new rules.
There were tons of missed holds on the Chiefs, but unlike the Buccs they didn’t get called. Buccs had that terrible face mask stalling a drive, the “call back” penalty was declined anyways, and a false start in OT that let the Chiefs win it easily. Refs did not favor the Buccs just because you root for the Chiefs, and just because they didn’t completely rig the game doesn’t mean they weren’t favoring your team.
Since when do the Chiefs play by the rules they never play by the rules. They are a bunch of cheaters just like tonight .The refs didn’t make that call on the chiefs why because Kansas City loves to pay off those refs that’s the only way how this team wins is by paying off those refs. The chiefs games are all fixed and rigged. The NFL has every chiefs game scripted for them to win
Every games!! Every this year the refs helped them win you act like the cheats are a great team! They are not that good that’s had a lot of help! Should have been beat by the bucs!! The bucs! Ha hahahaha Kansas swifty cheats!!
There I was sitting down with a vegan double latté to watch an evening of uninterrupted ads when I started getting these weird flashes of (possibly) football.
The Chiefs run this league, and every other team is just spectators to their dominance. Even teams like the Lions, Bills and Ravens won't beat them in the end. They don't even really care about the regular season either and they're still undefeated.
Get up off your knees Matt, every NFL owner knows who will win the Soupedbowl already and they've all discussed the division of profits made this season, amongst themselves and investors, earned via the duping of sports fan-addicts. Winter hasn't hit hard yet but they're already pushing, "roll up your sleeves", meanwhile sports dupes see nothing but which team is undefeated.🙂↔️ Dupes were probably watching a sports event up until the Great flood rains started... 😑
I think you go for the safe play and get the tie. Have some confidence in your defense in OT. And maybe you even win the coin toss. More importantly, the two point conversion only puts them up by one point With the 30 seconds or whatever it was (and 3 timeouts)? that was still plenty of time for Mahomes to take them down and kick a winning field goal Chances are, they play with a different type of urgency if they are down one point instead of a tie.

Fun Fact: Hopkins has caught multiple touchdowns passes from two first round quarterbacks who were taken in the same draft class (Deshaun Watson & Patrick Mahomes)
They also missed a really bad hold on Chris Jones late in the fourth that would've ruined the bucs scoring drive. It wouldn't even have gone to OT but you only see what you want to see.
This is the first time I have ever typed this, but it's rigged. Refs called a ghost facemask when Bucs had offensive momentum going and took the steam out of their play for 2 quarters.

@@realplonkliterally have the 2nd hardest schedule in the league l😂😂 you don’t get it easy schedule after winning the Super Bowl everyone knows that Can help who gets injured but we’re injured too all y’all do is cry but never win 😂😂😂😂
For those complaining about OT rules, I feel the same way. Both teams should have possession, but they do this to limit injuries during the regular season
K Hunt, got some hard yards in the end. He averaged at least 4 a carry.
Yeah, I want a good chance to game could have been over a lot quicker With KC defense
This is without a doubt the WORST rule in the NFL
No it’s not, bucs just need to get a stop on defense
Great job!! Send this to the Tea Channel and Voice for the people , their always on cj side!!
You are always coming with the fact.
I said at the beginning ifvthe season that EVERY team would play the chiefs hard, and they have. Hats off to mayfield and tampa for fighting hard as they could against the increasingly undeniable fact of the chiefs tenacity in their will to win.
This is why I just watch the high lights now
Chiefs are inevitable.
Ya and the refs Conveniently miss that False start call.
@@Mel-Sqr like how do all the refs miss that? what are you even out there for?
@@Mel-Sqr it wasn’t that obvious and the chiefs probably would have won anyway so you can keep complaining while the chiefs keep stacking Ws
What a tragedy. For the League as a whole.
they should have went for two while they had control over the outcome
Man Hunt was carrying both teams on his back at a few points!
KC motto should be Find A Way! They do again. 8-0. But as the season progresses how many opponents bullets will they continually avoid?
I'm hoping enough to remain undefeated. Mahomes wanted that a few years ago and it didn't work out. Would love for him to get that this year.

What a battle
Kansas just scraping through again
Got gifted one from Atlanta by the refs when what would have been a winning touchdown was interference and no call.
They really are paper tigers. KC should have 3 loses already if not for gifts.

Great recap, but this had way too many commercials!!!
Someone always complaining
A field of 57,600 Square Feet has often evolved into a game of 1" .
what a crazy ending - not
Refs tried to quench Tampa’s momentum and refused to call false start at goalinein OT!
Every visiting team has to beat the other team decisively. If your game comes down to a couple of calls, you simply didn’t win.
No, it was just an accident ..
They didn't see till it was too late.
Excellence is inspiring; gratefully.
It's not highlights it's just adds
I couldn't stand the tension so I looked up the stats and my Chiefs are 8 and 0 😊, now I can watch the replay and relax. 😅
I like the discipline of the Bucs receivers returning the ball to the umpire at the middle of the field for a faster reset.
The NFL is a gamblers paradise. The league is a vehicle for the MOB…PERIOD!
I didn't finish because of all the commercials! WOW!!
The NFL has every chiefs game scripted for them to win
crystal ball?
Every games!! Every this year the refs helped them win you act like the cheats are a great team! They are not that good that’s had a lot of help! Should have been beat by the bucs!! The bucs! Ha hahahaha Kansas swifty cheats!!
there were missed intentional grounding calls on the chiefs
There I was sitting down with a vegan double latté to watch an evening of uninterrupted ads when I started getting these weird flashes of (possibly) football.
The Chiefs run this league, and every other team is just spectators to their dominance. Even teams like the Lions, Bills and Ravens won't beat them in the end. They don't even really care about the regular season either and they're still undefeated.
Get up off your knees Matt, every NFL owner knows who will win the Soupedbowl already and they've all discussed the division of profits made this season, amongst themselves and investors, earned via the duping of sports fan-addicts.
Winter hasn't hit hard yet but they're already pushing, "roll up your sleeves", meanwhile sports dupes see nothing but which team is undefeated.🙂↔️
Dupes were probably watching a sports event up until the Great flood rains started... 😑

They Had that Game Won if they had gone for the win! Never Play for a Tie! Stupid Stupid!
It's never guaranteed. That being said, you absolutely go for two there haha
I think you go for the safe play and get the tie. Have some confidence in your defense in OT. And maybe you even win the coin toss.
More importantly, the two point conversion only puts them up by one point
With the 30 seconds or whatever it was (and 3 timeouts)? that was still plenty of time for Mahomes to take them down and kick a winning field goal
Chances are, they play with a different type of urgency if they are down one point instead of a tie.
Should have went for two instead of a field goal
They could have lost in regulation
Aikman agreed. He was surprised they didn’t go for the 2. KC at home and you have a chance with a 2 point play to beat them? No brainer.
I wasn't watching the game, but when I saw it was 24-17, I said to myself, if you score a touchdown, you have to go for two. Oh, well.

This is the first time I have ever typed this, but it's rigged. Refs called a ghost facemask when Bucs had offensive momentum going and took the steam out of their play for 2 quarters.
You called it. Couple that with a one possession overtime and you've secured the rig entirely.
