I freaking love marines in Halo infinite.
The marines from Halo 4 and 5 were completely useless while in Halo CE they really help, Halo 2 if you armed them well they were lethal, Halo 3 they were ok.
But after over 13 years we finally get good marines

I'm guessing the melee was too high up to hit them, since it's meant to be used on the player. So every single strike was a miss

Nah, the game usually gives invincibility to a single marine so you can complete the objective.

@@migueltoledo1884 thats the case when you are about to save a squad of marines dont remember any other scenario with invincible marines though.
