Beautiful looking SUV. I've always liked the expedition & this one is is really impressive. Thanks for posting guys. Keep up the great work.
Ford can finally justify charging 43k for a base model Expedition
Maximiliano Luera hahaha very true
Hahaha i agree 100%
All I can say is, I could not love the ecoboost engine any more. I had a 2003 Ford Expedition with the 5.4L V-8 and was very hesitant to replace it with the Expedition with the V-6 ecoboost. I could not have been more wrong. This thing leaves V-8's in the dust, pulls our boat like it's not even attached and the acceleration getting on the freeway and when passing, forget about it. Great engine, very impressed. As for longevity, in the research I've done, it does as well if not better than the V-8. Our V-8 Expedition was an outstanding vehicle, took us to 220,000 miles and was still going strong. We were just ready for an upgrade. We couldn't be happier.
If all that is going to be standard on the Expedition, then imagine what the Navigator will be like •_°
It is so beautiful this new expedition!
I am definitely in love with this truck that Ford came out with this year!!!!
Super nice! I'll be in the market for a full size SUV next summer. Maybe I'll wait for the 2019 to roll out in case there are bugs to work out with the first production.
Smooth operator. that's my next truck right there
I have a nice new Dodge Durango...Love it. I've never EVER wanted a Ford Truck, nor Ford SUV.... UNTIL NOW.
Man this thing is f*ckiing nice! Need one NOW.. I had my 98 eddie bauer expedition the years ago upgraded to my 04 xlt expedition. Best SUV's hands down. But this one!! Oh man...
I could not agree more. I have an 03 Eddie Bauer Expedition that has 220,000 miles on it. By far, the best vehicle I have ever owned. When detailed, it looks brand new.
I agree! I had a 99 Eddie Bauer 5.4 and man that truck was awesome. It was tough as hell too, lasted 230K Before we sold it.
This looks so much better than the Escalade inside and outside
Head and shoulders above the Tahoe. I'd really love to see a bigger Sync 3 screen on future products. I love the screen they use on the Navigator but I'm too average Joe for a navigator. This is the truck for me
PLEASE show the new irs
I feel like the only one asking this question.
did they re do the suspension ?
I love the front end but the back end looks a little funky
Could you guys do a review of the FX4 version when it becomes available?
if the higher trims of the Expedition will be in the Navigator base model price range I might as well opt for the Navigator at that point...
i'd also love to see a Black Widow Expedition now since it's chassis is the same ass the F-150 it will be able to use the same lift parts almost
i love our 2015 ford expedition limited but once she gets close to 100000 miles i will get a new expedition limited for my wife by then they will have got all the kinks worked out of the expedition
I see the hockey puck gear selector.
Do you know if they have retained the recreational vehicle mode in this model like previous models. This was awesome when you needed to use it as a tow vehicle at any stage. Saves a lot of farting around with stuff to make it RV towable.
And yes I know it is really a rather large vehicle to use as a tow vehicle but sometimes it is just the right car!!
About dam time
Is the wireless charging pad a fast wireless charging pad? That would be pretty bad ass if it was.
When is it coming to Australia?
How do these stack up against the Land Rover Discoervy 4? Are these Fords reliable?
Will y'all or southern comfort be putting in the coyote? Being based on the f150, and seeing as these trucks have fantastic mark up, surely it's reasonable to put the one more of the 27 other f150 engines
I'll take the diesel
"we're going to show you everything you need to know"....never even opened the doors
IMO, This new Expedition has a very handsome exterior. Happy to report I'm till cruising my Expedition from new and have zero regrets. It's still an excellent vehicle that just hit 100k miles. But I must admit, the idea of transitioning from a V-8 to a possibly over-worked V-6 that turns-off at red lights and heavy traffic makes me nervous, it better have a massive cooling system and battery. This will be a true reliability test on this new Ford and its features in Las Vegas, NV summers, fully loaded with occupants, luggage, both A/C units set at max while pulling a trailer. Hmmm.
JoeyJr702 If you have a trailer attached it deactivates the auto start/ stop.
can this be even use for overland expeditions. I only see Toyota in a lot of overland expedition videos.
I'll have to see it in person . it looks small but maybe this guy is really Tall! . I chose the Expedition over the Explorer because of cargo space why would I downsize ?
You explained the clean slate redo like this is the first time the Expedition is based on the F150 and that being awesome because now it wont take so long to get refreshed. Let me tell you, it has always been based on the F150.
Steve Savoie all domestic SUVs have been based off their pick up trucks
I think he meant that it should be easier for them to make updates because the previous Expedition was using an outdated F150 chassis
@@chrisvela5462 I Wish Ford Expedition Uses The Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon 5.3L V8
Call me old fashioned, I couldn't buy a suv this big with a v6, more powerful or not. I'd like to hear that V8 rumble and feel the naturally aspirated engine would be easier to maintain over the years.
What better the youkon debali or expeditions
What's a standalone standard option?
It's either a standalone option or it's standard.
The front of the car reminds me of Gary Busey 😂
Please do ecosport review!
They did a fantastic job hiding the fact that they used a Yuhon body as their base drawing lol!! Ford always waits till GM comes out with their design to try and beat it, yet they're always behind...Strange
Arthur Montano Isn't that how the camaro originally came to be? They ripped off the Mustang coupe
I think I'll take the Expedition in the "Lincoln Navigator" trim .... ;-)
can you get a raptor version?
not diggin the front and rear taillights from side angles.
at least it's not similar to the new navigator not even by a long shot .
I Would Like To Go For A Tahoe and Yukon
not sure if it has enough chrome
my goodness look how dark the back windows are! Look like 5% tint
Towing capacity?
Ford needs to come out with a new excursion
Looks nothing like a Tahoe. Thank Christ, lol. What engine options are available? Did they bring the 5.0 to the Expedition?
I think only the V6 is available, even on the Platinum Trim. Imagine how many people would flock to this car if they put the 5.0 Modular in.
What's wrong with auto start and stop of the engine? My 2014 Honda civic hybrid has it and you don't even feel when the engine turns off/on. It's great for when you are waiting at lights, drug store drive through, things like that that just waste gas.
+kode1996 we love it. Works flawlessly. But there's a lot of old school customers that hate it.
Town and Country TV ahh okay, that makes sense that old school people might not like it.
The Stop Start feature is bad when you have the air on , gets real humid inside . Wouldn't want to gas this beast up .
I like the aluminum aspects but that's about it
I don't understand why there are no body colored pillars in the rear. It looks like a flex. I think it looks bland and boxy
but sadly you're not at NY car show
Can you do a mustang gt 2017 automatic transmission review ok the channel
Does anyone know if they will be getting the 5.0? And what about an EL length? Need more useful info.
+Vegard Claussen all the specs haven't been released yet... but one thing is for sure, it will only be available in the 3.5L ecoboost
Vegard Claussen screw the 5.0, I want the 3.0 V6 diesel. Possibly as a hybrid.
Why the hell would you want a 6 cylinder Diesel Hybrid SUV??? That makes as much sense as hooking up a 9 volt battery to a 6.2 Raptor and calling that a hybrid. Just like GM did with the Yukons and Tahoes.
Here, replace your ignorance with knowledge.

Will buy a Yukon due to auto start stop.
Every manufacturer is going that way, in order to increase gas mileage #'s. It's a feature you can turn off. But hey, good luck with your Yukon. I have 220,000 miles on my 03 Expedition while friends of mine have gone through three Tahoe's and now refuse to take them past 100,000 miles. If you start looking, you'll find many for sale used with right around 100,000 miles.
I want my suv to look like a suv that thing looks like the ford flex had a baby with a minivan
Looks a lot like a Tahoe from the side
Off topic. Is Ford going to stop making the Flex? If so, when will the last year be? I want to get one before they are gone.
Eric I think after 2017 it will be gone, not completely sure. Same with the Taurus.
I just read 2020 on the Detroit Free Press. Not sure if that's 100% true. My wife wants to trade here Explorer on one in the next two years.
Just read that too. I wonder if it will get any kind of refresh before then.
Is there going to be an EL model still?
Yes, it's called the Expedition Max. Sounds a little stupid... would rather have it called the EL.
Yeah, just a bit. Oh well lol. At least they kept it I guess.
Yep lol I was a little worried they weren't gonna keep it.
Same, with the way cars are getting, and after the excursion was dropped.
if your phones has wireless charging capability.
Why is it unibody
What do you think of it? I have no idea. this is 5 minutes of a locked car!!
QUESTION ? If you cannot show the inside why show it.
I hate the turn dial, and push button transmissions!
chef kdowg agree
chef kdowg agree with dat man ..
Big SUVs need column sifters man
chef kdowg i know right. It needs a colume shifter just like gm but better quality but I still love gm's suvs.
this is a RV of SUV'S
it's chevy with ford dressing
سبحان الله، والحمد لله، ولا إله إلا الله، والله أكبر 🌸
Pretty disgusted after coming from the 2017 navigator refresh, but I am very impressed with this ford refresh. Nice 😀
Front end looks like a chevy
Beautiful SUV. Probably gonna be 60-70K though.
lol, no way that high bro. escalade is 65-70+.
price range will start at 34k and max at 54k fully loaded with DVD players/glass roof etc.
might as well buy a Lincoln Navigator at that point if the Platinum is that much
Even the 2015-17 current expedition can be optioned out to mid 60's msrp. He's right with that price range. With top trim, panoramic sunroof and all the other gadgets it'll easily top 65, just like the new f150's. They're be a lot less expensive models but I highly doubt you'll find one new for 31. Mid 40's average maybe
It's planned that way. Some people may not want a Lincoln for whatever reason, so you can option out an expedition to almost similar specs. Gm does the same thing, you can get a gmc Denali priced up to escalade territory for those who want the lux but just plain don't want an escalade. Maybe brand loyalty, image, whatever.
The current Expedition price range is $48,320 -$71,000
Car&Driver did a test between the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ vs. 2015 Ford Expedition Platinum, the Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ price as tested was $65,430 and the Ford Expedition Platinum was $64,365
This needs to be pimped out
is it just me or does it look a lot like thew Chevy Tahoe
No it's not the first ever ground up redesign, the first redesign was in 2004. You need to get your eyes checked if you think the 1997-2003 is the same body as 2004+. Why do car salesmen know absolutely nothing?
smcox1991 He said "ground up " the redesign in 04 was just a refresh of the exterior and some of the underpinnings just like the F150.
I will never by a truck with stop and go engine unlest i can put it off.
Marcel Metcalfe You can manually turn it off, but you have to do so every time you restart the truck, kinda like traction control.
i hate the headlights and tail lights
hate the start stop crap! over time just 2 much wear and tear on engine starter etc even with engine in top dead center on each restart!
Gene McGoldrick Can you really? I did not hear that.
You can turn it off.
The chrome Expedition branding on the rear hatch is just awful; Ford must change it from cheap to classy... EXPEDITIOUSLY.
grille like a range rover, body style like a mini-van, electronic shift pucks, most everything broke in the first month and aluminum for higher insurance rates, c'mon ford, build a truck for a change.
Ecoboost!? OH MY GOD NO!!!
Calm down, I'm sure they brought the 5.0 V8 to it. Besides that, ecoboosts are good engines anyways...
Cesar Gonzalez: I have to say, I felt the same way until I bought one. I was reluctant to purchase the Expedition with a V6, having had the 5.4 liter V8 for 14 years. All I can say is, I was wrong. And the only way you'll be convinced is to drive one. Our new Expedition is far and above faster and the torque is far superior to the V8. With that said, Ford is offering the 5.0 in this Expedition. Like us, I think many stayed away because it seems like a lot of car for a V6 to lug around. All I can say is, I was wrong, the twin turbo Ecoboost V6 is an outstanding engine that has proven to be very reliable. That's why it comes with a standard 7 year, 100,000 mile warranty.
I'm just concerned with the long term reliability of the turbo(s). I usually buy these large body on frame SUV's 3-5 years old in very good condition. I tend to lease another vehicle and my wife leases her cars. I like having a family rig that is paid off in my garage (starting with a 1997 GMC Suburban that I bought in '01, but I held on to my 2008 Chevrolet Suburban to present day because it hasn't given me a reason to get rid of it). Like my mechanic said, "theres nothing that can go wrong with your vehicle that I can't get back up and running within a couple of hours or so." However, I've never had anything done to my present Suburban other than routine maintenance or something that I've caused myself. I really have to say that I have had good luck with Fords in the past and I love Lincoln products.
I thought the same thing, but everything I can find suggests that this engine will be equivalent to or better than the 5.7L V-8 (it certainly outperforms it), which was over 220,000 miles for us and was still going strong when we traded her in for a newer model. I am very happy with the ecoboost in our newest Expedition, pulls my boat like it's not even there.
It looks like a suburban
Too small. I'll find a used current body style. Love the auto makers - make smaller vehicles and sell them for a lot more money. Looks like I'll have a Suburban or current model in my driveway. This is just a warmed over Explorer.
LittleShop OfSawdust The Expedition comes in two sizes. This is the shorter version. The longer version is called the Expedition Max, and that's what you're looking for.
"It's just a warmed over Explorer." And? Expeditions have always been the big brother to the Explorer and have looked almost the same, styling wise. Nothing wrong with that at all
Well I tell u what .... I don't know anything about this but I can tell u about the Yukon.... if u are in the market and you thinking about something like this.... well guest what... today is u lucky day..... where ever you do... DO NOT... under any circumstances BUY a GM truck.... like the Yukon or suburban... u will thank me later...
Try and keep up GM Motors🤣🤣....you just can't FORD #1. For all you old school people, welcome to 2017 it's push start GET USED TO IT and get over it!!!!
Did this Ford salesman really just say it looks kinda like a Tahoe in the back? FAIL dude FAIL! Now I really don't want a fat Explorer for sure. Come on +TownandcountryTV
Start and stop ruined it for me.
Why on gods green earth did you make a car called the ecosport???? It looks like a Ford Escape with fücking downsyndrome
that is one of the ugliest expedition we just bought a 2017 platinum expedition and live that one got it yesterday
شكل غبي كما عودتنا شركة فورد
They copied directly from Chevy, GMC
I like auto stop start
looks a lot like the tahoe
at least get inside.. 👎
ford though!!!
We actually HATE HATE HATE the "start / stop" trash option so much we will NOT buy this 2018 model. We are going to go with another option. FORD---- we have owned THREE Expeditions (a 2000, 2004 and 2009 EL all Eddie Bauer)..........get rid of the "START STOP" trash. GgggggggggggRrrrrrrrrrr
dd duvall you can turn it off
dd, then turn it off, google it if you don't know how. All the automakers are doing that so they can increase gas mileage rating..............it's all about the numbers.
dd duvall your dumb, it's just a feature
🤢
Junk. Horrible redesign. They aren't even trying. They just want to do the minimum and take your money :/
hideous..I'll stick with GMs offerings.
Hate the hockey puck and auto start.
This is such an ugly vehicle the Chevy Tahoe from 2015 looks better than this lol
Do people still buy these "expeditions" starts off broken and all that pre-production breakage will make it to the dealers lots. Start stop is total nonsense. Can you turn that garbage off.
copy with Tahoe
Ledya new york Other way around actually. Ford introduced this look first with the Explorer
Typical GM, watch the direction Ford is going (Ford Explorer) and try beating them there, then claim it was their idea. Too bad they didn't watch Ford succeed being a company back when GM and Dodge went belly up and needed a gov't bailout and the federal contract in order to stay afloat................ya, my money is with Ford.
It looks nothing like a Tahoe... thank God for that too because Tahoes are fugly..
That One Ford Guy no they arnt u just have two dads and u drive a ranger
Ledya new york @ not! Are you freaking blind? #1 never needs to copy anything that #2 does! Get it?
