- The movement of the recovery leg is possibly the most important part of the entire speedskating movement. It determines the main force of the bodymass on the driving skate.
After just taking a stable stand on the driving leg as explained in the first video • Bend the ancle ..... S... , it 's all about getting as much pressure as possible on this leg by using your bodymass.

First of all, So glad your speak english. This is by far your most instructiv video. Great help. Now looking forward to your breaking down the various elenents in corner technique
Thanks👍
Maybe I'll save that for next season, but not sure yet.
Would be great!
Nice content thanks 🙏
this is great information, really good to exagggerate it as you say, this helps with balance as well!
Is it possible to have the picture of yourself in one of the upper corners? If inferior corner it will often cover your feet on the ice.
Maybe also the picture if you could be a little smaller thus covering as little as possible of what you will describe. But its good with you in the picture 👍
Another video🤩I have the SKA cup tomorrow!
SKA?

any tips about frame positioning/mounting? I am a beginner, and it is hard to find any information. I have mounted the blade as far rearwards as possbile, and a central position from left to right.... is this good or bad? Do most skaters prefer the blade position to be more to the inside of the shoe?
@@nigelbrown2274 it's not about what others prefer, it's about you.
There are some general considerations, some small fine tuning based on your body and personal taste.
I've done Skatefitting for a lot of people, best would be to come over, so I can sort it out for you
@@nigelbrown2274 can you call me?
On this clip there was som Stolz showing leg pull up behind, where is thatnow?
Had to cut the fragments from the vidso, because of copyright issues
bouncing like Sven Kramer did?
Different, today's technique evolved from... , sure there are similarities.
We're talking fine nuances in technique, sometimes a bit bigger, like now.
