Just an FYI for anyone interested in these locks. I have 3 of these. THEY HAVE BEEN GREAT!! I had to call tech support when I bought the first one. Tech support is great! You can get through to a speaking human!! AAAA+

These exact instructions actually had me reprogram my master code. Luckily I caught it and figured out the correction using my noodle.
Bought this one because the older version ruclips.net/user/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQ had was really choppy and would disconnect from the wifi ALOT, was not catching everything and every week j had to charge it. So far the picture quality on this one is exceptional. I also bought a solar panel with it so I will see how this all turns out.

for anyone who has had issues with entering the programming code, change the battery. I called in, because this was my issue, and this is what customer services said.
Just a heads up, the Schlage button flashes red not orange on the same model as the video, this caused allot of confusion. But just follow the steps explained in video or manual and it will work.

Am I missing something? Every time I try to enter the programming code it thinks I’m putting in the wrong 4 digit unlock code and errors out. I can’t put in the programming code to add a new code.

@@SchlageLocksOfficial I’m having the same issue; the lock thinks I’m putting wrong 4 digit code in. Please tell me what to do differently. I don’t want to have to do a factory reset. Schlage must know how to enter the 6 digit programming code so that I can change the lock code. If you don’t know, ask a manager or technical person.
Somebody else mentioned that if your having problems with the programming code to change the battery out.
Ok this is annoying, lock doesn't enable me to even put the programming code. It thinks I'm putting user code in.

@@kylesnyder3167 did work when I wanted to change the code for the first time I unplugged the battery into a new battery in perhaps ducted something to the device. I'll try to figure this out I'll let you know if I find a solution

Schlage has cheaped out on these locks. First clue is only one key instead of two. In addition, they do not last as long if at all. Have put in six of these and the oldest five are still working after 4 to 7 years. The newest one took a dump on me after less than two. Solenoid seems to be to weak. Yeah, I am using a new battery. Tried two just to make sure that the battery was not the problem. Bought a new BE365 and it wouldn't work out of the box. Same problem where the knob spins but does not make a connection with the bolt. This seems to be a common problem . Look it up here on RUclips.
Is there a Quick Guide we can print out that shows all of this?

Our lock has been working just fine since April. Today, it started turning red as soon as you type in the first code number. Or it is a yellowish color and then after you get the entire code in and push Schlage button, it gives the failure music. We tested the battery, it's fine. We put a new battery in, that didn't work either. No warning - just started happening and won't work now. Help!

The reset procedure doesn't work, I've tried it dozens of times using this and other variations people have posted but it never accepts the default programming code, nor default user codes.

Hi, when I try to put the programing code in thats on the paper the 6 digit number. At the 4th number it blinds red so I can't put 2 more numbers in to put my personal 4 digit number in and program it

Is there a way to set up the BE365 to lock it by pushing the SCHLAGE button when exiting without having to enter the 4 digit code? I've never seen a keycode lock that doesn't do this.

They came with the factory codes on a sticker on the door side of the lock. Unless removed, follow prompts to restore factory settings.

#1 Do you have the right programming code for the Keypad/Deadbolt you want to reprogram. If not take the back cover off by removing the two screws. Then loosen the two screws that hold the keypad on. Gently pull on the keypad , being careful not to rip out the battery wires. Then take a photo of the Yellow sticker that has the correct 6 digit Prog. Code and the two 4 digit default User Codes. I had three of these keypad/deadlocks installed in my house and discovered the Locksmith only left me with the instructions and Yellow Tag for one of them. Hence I was not getting anywhere and getting frustrated. The Locksmith should have left me with three sets of Instalation Instructions and marked them Front Door , Side Door and Garage. Once I had the correct programming code I could follow the instructions and reprogram the locks.
Do these locks come with a key as well? Are the difficult to get re-keyed?
Most models of Schlage keypad locks also allow use of regular keys, and two keys come with the lock. Any locksmith can easily revise the lock to accept any Schlage style key you may already have. Mine charges me $25 to match a keypad lock to my existing key.

I do apologize for the issue you are experiencing. We provide two programming stickers. One on the user guide and another on the back of the exterior keypad. Unfortunately, if the stickers have been removed/disposed of you will not be able to reprogram the lock. I do apologize for any inconvenience.

Karen Smith, if you do not program the lock, then you can open the lock using either of the two default codes shown on the label. You can also use the key, if you have it with you.
I have several Schlage keypad locks on my property. When I buy them, I take them to the local locksmith, and have the keylock changed to accept the key I already have for all other traditional locks on the property. ALL of my locks are Schlage, and ALL are keyed alike so I only need to have one key.

What does 19 user codes allowed mean? If I use 19 codes, even if I delete 4, I can’t enter 4 new codes?

If you had 19 codes programmed and delete 4 you could add 4 more as there would only be 15 codes valid at that point. Unfortunately, the BE365 is not a smart lock and cannot be programmed remotely. Any programming changes would need to be done at the location of the lock. I do apologize for any inconvenience.
I tried this as well. I enter 4 numbers of the programming code and it double beeps and won’t allow the 2 more numbers.

With the door open:
1) Disconnect the battery
2) Press the Schlage button on the keypad once and release
3) Reconnect the battery and quickly press and hold down the Schlage button ( the keypad should turn blue and you should hear a long beep)
4) Enter user code A from the programming sticker on the keypad and the Schlage button should flash green
Returned, it worked for 1 lock and 1 unlock. Went to show my girl and it didn't work, did every trouble shooting thing relevant and nothing. The key worked, the inside thumb turn worked. The outside thumb lock quit working. Also the wires were not like pictured and there was no way to install without pinching. Upon readin reviews only about %50 work as advertised, mostly because of the horrible wiring.

No programming code was given when I bought the house and no label with it inside the machine 😪 now how to find it?

One is on the user guide and one is under the keypad assembly of the lock. If you don't have the user guide and the sticker was removed, then lock will need to be replaced. anne marie Dicredico if you lost your instructions manual, it should be located on the inside of the lock itself. Just remove the lock and you should find a sticker with the programming code on it. I hope it helps!

Pat P unless someone has removed the sticker themselves, it should be there. I'm not aware of any master reset codes. You could try contacting the manufacturer directly - they might know a trick of some sort. Good luck

At 0:40 seconds in the video it shows how to locate the default programming information. Is that sticker missing from the underneath side of the keypad, this would require removing the keypad from the door to access it. If the sticker is not there, unfortunately we would have no alternative for locating that information, and would recommend replacing the lock.

out of battery and lock become inactive. The door is locked and I will not be able to change the battery. Sadly the key is inside the room also. What do I need to do to unlock the door.

In the past I have pressed the schlage button to turn on the backlight so i can then enter the code. Now, I press the schlage button and it unlocks the deadbolt??? do I need to do a hard reset?

+Kurt M I did. Was on the line with a schlage representative. They walked me through making sure the arrows are facing each other by turning the cam while the bolt is retracted. Their thinking was that it was backwards and just needed to be readjusted. No luck though. Reset the cam. did a hard reset with taking the battery out. They ended up assessing there was an internal error and sent me a new one under warranty.
+painfullyhonest same here. I just got off the phone with Schlage. Took some waiting time, but once I got a tech on the line it was easy going and quickly fixed. Smack in the middle, between the two bolts that hold the front and rear together is a little oval shaped plastic piece. I had it in the wrong position. Re-aligned it and it worked fine. Less than 5 minutes of work.
you need to make sure when you install it that when the metal stick is inserted through he hole the tab around it has the arrow pointing in the correct direction so open it back up and adjust the install

I’m having the issue that once I lock the deadbolt. By someone pressing the Schlage button it turns green then you can open the deadbolt without entering any codes.

What does it mean when lock is flashing red?

It should be there by default. Try re-setting the lock to factory default.

Thank you for replying. Each of our keypad locks have a unique programming code. You can find this code on your manual or on the lock itself. The location of the sticker on the lock is underneath the keypad side of the lock, so you must remove the lock from the door to locate this sticker. Once you have the programming code, then you can program your lock like the video shows.

Is it waterproof ?

While we don't recommend our locks be used on gates or doors in which the interior housing of the locks is completely exposed, as long as the interior portion of the locks is on the inside of the house/building, it is good to go. This is described in the video, and involves resetting to the factory defaults by removing the battery along with a specific button sequence.
Better yet, don't use a keypad lock if you can't reliably remember a 4 digit code.

How can I reset the lock and enter a new user password the old owner didn’t tell me the programming code. I’m stuck with a new home with a keypad lock that doesn’t work.

Thank you for contacting Schlage. I am sorry the original owner didn't provide the user guide for this lock. Each keypad lock has its own unique programming sticker. This adds another security feature we have for the lock. We do not have a list of codes or a master programming code for our locks. This is why we provide the customer with two locations to find their default codes. One, is on the user guide. Second, is under the keypad side of the lock. If bother of the programming stickers are gone, then the lock will need to be replaced if you want to use the key. I apologize for this inconvenience.

Reyna Paredes did you twist the inside locking knob? Be careful with that ! I have had people twist it to 'unlocked' and unless you check the door handle when leaving it might be unlocked, like in your case.

The troubleshooting guide says this is because the lock was not installed correctly and thus is not secure.
How you fix that problem cuz I'm having that issue all I gotta do is hit schlage button

Installed two locks. Both have same issue: when i reset the code, it "confirms" as successful, but from outside the knob just spins. The deadbolt locks / unlocks from inside OK. Nothing makes it accessible from outside. Help...?

This is horse shit. I can’t get past the first four numbers of six digit programming code before it blinks red indicating bad code.

Omfg I'm losing my mind. My programming key is 019595 but to get into my door is 0195 so i cant type in 019595 to delete the code someone help!!!!!

Our user codes and programming codes cannot start with the same numbers so the lock can identify the correct codes being used. If both keys are lost, what is the way out to obtain new keys ?
Call a locksmith, who can either cut you a new key(s) to match the lock, or sell you a new key and then adjust the lock to match.
But really, with multiple keypad codes plus the physical keys, you would have to be very careless to lose the keys AND forget all the codes.
how do i enable light on the keypad? i can not see the numbers in the dark.
Press the Schlage button and all the buttons will light up.

Instructions fail to tell you how to program the Schlage button to lock the door
You don’t need to program it to lock. From outside the door you just press the Schlage button which will engage the lock so you can turn it. After about 10 seconds it disengages.
I have 2 of the same locks; 1 works exactly out of the box in that way, the other does not. I tried resetting the lock but it refuses to lock by pressing the Schlage button. All other functions for both work with no issues.
