Queen is one of the biggest British rock bands formed in 1970. Freddie Mercury had one of the best voices around with an amazing range. He was a real showman as the live concerts show. "Bohemian Rhapsody" is their most famous song but they had so many great hits in the 70's-90's such as "We Are The Champions", "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", "Love Of My Life", "You're My Best Friend", "We Will Rock You", "Another One Bites The Dust", "Who Wants To Live Forever", "Somebody To Love", "Fat Bottomed Girls", "The Show Must Go On" etc.

Nice reaction! This is actually the first music video that was made for commercial purposes. It is from 1975, before the exitance of MTV. The video and the song is iconic, the song has 5 sections it goes through the 5 stages of grieve. It is one of the most complex popular songs. Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the best selling songs of all time, it has charted in 3 different decades, 1975, 1991 and 2016. You should see Queen live, they were also known as the best live rock band, lead singer Freddie Mercury is an icon, even Michael Jackson drew some inspiration from him. Queen is the fourth best selling artists of all time.

Freddie Mercury (lead singer) was writing three different songs when he had the genius inspiration to combine them into this epic masterpiece. The beautiful harmony in the beginning of the song is actually just Freddie harmonizing with himself on multiple tracks. The section that has to do with the shooting came from one of the original three songs that was to be called "The Cowboy Song". Yes, this song is just about as iconic as they come. Don't overthink it, just listen and enjoy.

Bohemian Rhapsody is considered to be a "British national anthem" in the respect that every generation knows the words more than our actual national anthem "God save the King" it wasnt until the "live aid" concert in1985 (check it out) that really put Queen back on the map. Queens popularity to this day with Adam Lambert is second to none. RIP Freddie we will always miss you

This is an iconic song by an iconic band. This particular song and this particular recording hit number 1 on the charts in 3 different decades. Almost everyone knows this song, most people even know all the words. It has been in movies a few times so you might be right about Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. Freddie Mercury (piano and lead vocalist) wrote this song from 3 songs he had written but never finished that were on a related topic so he sandwiched them together and created a rhapsody. This song has been covered by countless bands but none are as good as the original . I have been listening to this song since 1975 and I never get tired of it. This was the first music video made to promote a rock song. The band was on tour and needed to appear on a British music show but couldn't because they were half way around the world so they put this together quickly to send to the TV program in their absence. The song remained at number 1 for 9 weeks so that program had to show this video 9 times on their weekly program. You probably know Queen songs, you just didn't know it was them, they have a catalog of over 200 songs, all different genres and all excellent. You have likely heard "Another One Bites The Dust," " We Wil Rock You" and "We Are The Champions." Thank you for your reaction.

This video cost $5000 to make in 1975...and here we are today still watching. Yep, iconic with a capital "I", Radical at the time, challenging rock song structure - blew everyone away. Queen songs surround you, so would be fun to see you gain that awareness. All band members are songwriters, different styles but makes one Queen sound. Rock, rockabilly, R&B, metal, music hall, funk, gospel...Great to sample Queen at LIVE AID in 1985 (global benefit concert to respond to the famine crisis in Ethiopia). Bands played a 21 minute set and Queen made rock history that day. Sticke with Queen Official Videos, whether live or studio versions.

The one thing this song has, that you did not comment on, was the creativity it took to come up with this song. No one had ever done anything like this before. When this song started playing on the radio, I was amazed. I tol everybody about it and listened to the radio waiting for them to play it again. I love when an artist thinks outside of the box, and makes it work. Queen did that with this song.

This is one of the first music videos ever created You may not know Queen, but you know their songs. We Are the Champions and We Will Rock You are both Queen songs and Freddie Mercury was the best front man to ever grace the stage. He had crowd control that was next level. He could get the crowd to sing his songs to him. This was voted the greatest song of all time in 2022. Queen performed at Live Aid in 1985. Every band and singer on the planet performed and Queen stole the show. It was rated the best live rock performance ever. Live Aid was a fund raiser for the famine in Africa and was seen around the world. They had a stage in Philadelohia and one at Wembley in London. I believe it was Sting that performed in Phillie, then took the Concord to London and performed there too.

Yes! Queen is a must as with most of the 70's Bands. The 70's had the most talented bands ever because there was no auto tune or electronic fixing. It was all talent and they played as good if not better live than it sounded on their albums. They had so much competition that if they weren't a fantastic band then they didn't make it. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, The Bee Gees, The Who, The Eagles, Kansas, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jim Croce, Bread, Cat Stevens, way too many great bands to list here but if you don't hear them all you are missing out. The 60's also had many so don't forget the 60's. Many of the 60's bands got even bigger in the 70's so are listed as 70's bands but their early work is good too. The Beatles, The Everly Brothers, the Doors, Grateful Dead, The Beach Boys, Steppenwolf, Simon & Garfunkel, The Moody Blues, Herman's Hermits, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Paul Revere & the Raiders. Again there are a lot more than this but I am sure that once you start really dipping into these decades there will be people like me that only clicked on your video because I saw Queen from the 70's. Queen has a huge following and those of us that listened to this music when growing up, the baby boomers, are retiring now and have more time to listen to our childhood music. You may want to make that your target to market to since there are so many of us. Watching young people like you discover it, is fascinating to us because it makes us remember the first time we heard it and what our reaction to it was. We like when you like it but we don't want you to say you do if you don't and we understand but there will be other bands from those decade that you do like so we will keep coming back to see your reaction to those. I am subscribing and truly hope you keep it up because like we use to say back then....... You"re really far out and I'm diggin the reaction

“Is this an iconic song that everyone knows about but me?” Yes! That said, you’re young. This was a hit before you were alive but…I hear it often everywhere still so I’m surprised you don’t know it… you have probably heard bits of this song here and there. I LOVED watching your face while hearing this. My guess, every human reacted thus way. When my brother and I were little kids we called it “that song” because we didn’t know the name of it but we LOVED it! My daughter is 18 but when she discovered this song at 12 she came bursting in the door after school and had to play me a “new band with a new song” She was so sad when I told her Freddie died 30 years ago. Queen is still going strong. I’m seeing them in October with the iconic Adam Lambert fronting the band. Guitar and drum player still going!

A couple of things to remember about this song. Firstly all of the voices are real, auto-tune didn't exist back in 1975. As for the video, CGI wasn't common, being to expensive and needing a large computer to be able to do even the simplest graphics.
The four members are/were: Freddie Mercury (Piano, lead vocals, song writer, graphic artist), Brian May PhD (lead guitar, vocals, song writer, astrophysicist), Roger Taylor (Drummer, vocalist {falsetto}, song writer, biologist), and John Deacon (Bass guitar, occasional vocals, song writer, electronics engineer).
The only part of Bo-Rep not written by Freddie was the guitar solo composed by Brian May himself, played on his home built guitar made from, amongst other bit the wood from a fireplace surround, coupled to a "Deacy" Amp built by the Bassist John Deacon.

Did you know that... sorry of course you don't.... you might be surprised to learn thatthe guitar player Brian May is actually Dr. Brian May, he is an astrophysicist. The other members are frontman Freddy Mercury (arguably the greatest frontman in history). Drummer Roger Taylor and Bass player John Deacon

You just experienced GENIUS, Sometime you just have to let it play and let it wash over you to get the real experience!!!!! and you NEVER user the word "good" when describing anything by Queen!!!

I'd like to see your reaction, but you pause way too much for my liking. Give the music a chance to develop some continuity. My personal opinion.

Agreed, I realize it's a reaction video but you can't stop at every line or two. You don't get any sense of the song that way just a little constructive criticism.

Back in the day there were a limited amount of track to record on, so what producers would do is what's called bouncing over. I think they had 8 tracks to record this on, so when they used 7 tracks they would bounce everything over to the 8th track so you have 7 more. Finish those, and you bounce it over again. The operatic section has all of the band singing every voice in the harmony together 3 seperate times, creating a choir effect. So they had to bounce it over so much that the tape almost disintegrated. I'm glad we're not living in the timeline where BoRha accidentally got distroyed

Happy Mondy Chris!!! Hope you are well today. This song is iconic. If you have ever seen Wayne's World you have heard this. Everyone is absolutely right. You need to hear Somebody To Love. Another suggestion below was Pink Floyd. Try Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. This song Wind of Change by the Scorpions is also a good one.
Have I given any bad suggestions? I won't steer ya wrong!!

You see, back when this came out we thought it was fantastic but weren’t confused as the younger people are today when they see it. That’s because we were open to a far wider spectrum of things in those days. Younger people only experience what they are being fed by the commercial interests, and that is VERY shallow.

Seems the younger generation are a very impatient generation. Just relax, and enjoy the musicality and the journey. Our music was very creative and diverse. We didn’t follow any “rules” for songs.

Find some joy in new experiences. It's strange to you and makes you feel different and maybe uncomfortable. I wish you could love the gifts that Queen gave to the world. They are genius. This song was done at a concert with 1000 musicians. Check it out.
