I am an RN, BSN. Would I be able to meet my license current by becoming a nurse health coach? I have a huge passion for health and wellness but can’t seem to find the right outlet in nursing to follow that passion. Health coaching seems and feels like it would really fit me well and allow me to truly help people in their lives, which is what I want to do. Thanks!
@Kim Foster M.D. : Thank you for making and sharing this video. You come across as a happy, positive and helpful person. Also, that was nice of you to include a free wellness coaching career guide. I have a few questions: 1) Would it be better to be a health coach, wellness coach or a health and wellness coach? And why? 2) What is the pro and cons of being a health and wellness coach? 3) How can a person go about starting their own freelance health and wellness business? 4) What areas of the health and wellness job pay the most?
How do you overcome a client that doesn't want to commit to the program? Who has goals but every few months is a new excuse? How do you get others to take this lucrative career seriously?
Great question! There's no simple answer to this, and I think this actually warrants its own video -- stay tuned! And thanks so much for the excellent idea.
Hi! I am thinking about entering the field, but am trying to decide whether being a dietician or a health coach is right for me. What would you say is a reason to go into health coaching rather than becoming an RN?
Hi, I dont have a medical degree and no medicinal background. But I have a great interest in health issues. Wanting to become health coach. Can I pursue this career?
Great question! No you don’t have to have a degree. My program is a 6 month program. Here’s where you can find out more about it: wellness coach academy.com
Thank you Kim ! I’m almost done with my health coaching certification and plan to take my board certification so this is helpful because a lot of things get mixed up
@@maeganrose9591 depending on what program you do you’ll always be certified at the end but to become board certified you have to qualify and sit for a separate exam .

Oops, you're right! No, that's just a broken link. We'll have to fix it. The course is most definitely still available -- just head directly to wellnesscoachacademy.com for all the details. Thanks for flagging this for me so we can fix it, though! ❤
Great question, Kory! It absolutely would be - if your intention is to provide personal training services (or focus on a fitness/exercise angle) as part of your health coaching packages!
You're right, it can definitely get overwhelming! I did a podcast about this issue recently -- here's the link: ruclips.net/video/Td4iBo9oc5w/видео.html
Differences between men and women mostly--- women talk a lot with very little information, men get right to the point. The introduction was unnecessarily long, MD or no MD.
Very great information Thanks for Sharing 👍

Yes! I have lots of clients and students who are both RNs and health coaches! This is a very natural pivot - I definitely encourage you to go for it!
That is probably because there is no right outlet in nursing since it's such a brutal profession.
Great inspiring thoughts on Health Coach!!! Thanks for posting!!!
Thanks so much for your kind words!! I'm glad you found this helpful :)

Are these 2 different certifications/exams?

Thanks in advance
