The manual F Type was built for enthusiasts, not your average RUclipsr or car reviewer, not implying that this is the case here. Still, you need to spend time with it and make sure you can rev match both ways to truly appreciate it. If you do, even occasional start-stop traffic can be fun. I daily drive my MY18 bought with only 25K miles last December mostly on curvy A and B roads with the exhaust on all the time and it's outstanding. The car is a keeper. Thanks for featuring a manual in one of your videos.
As a previous V6S F-Type owner, I always thought the auto suited the car very well, it's not a sports car. I would also say, it's the only car I've owned I've never wanted to replace the exhaust system, that setup sounds very hollow and boy racer :(
Here you go, 615 subs ... just cause I love the F Type (and the vids)! ... thx for this vid! (& Keep on posting in the F Type Freaks chat 😉!)...success Maz!
Nearly traded my 2007 XKR 4.2V8 coupe for a 2016 Ftype 3.0V6 coupe manual last year. Both cars were BRG and when parked next to each other I couldn't bring myself to part with the XKR. Also read a few negative reports about that manual box. I kind of wish I had taken the Ftype out a test drive to give myself a more informed viewpoint. I read less than 5% of all Ftypes were manual so a rare breed.
A manual in an F-Type sounds like a perfect match since it's a sportscar 1st and GT 2nd. But they decided to only do it for the V6, not the i4, not the V8. On the flipside, I can see these asking for major premiums 20 years down the line.
