They have now released 3 new 0080 MGs in the last year with several P-Bandai recolors with different accessories and they have all been absolutely awesome, but the 1 damn MG we want, an Alex 2.0 is no where to be seen. I'm really hoping it will just be a surprise release with only minimal heads up time. I mean were are getting that awesome new Robot Spirits figure this year, so I guess that should mean something.
They don't have a lot in common at all. Alex could probably use the hazel/quel frame since the backpack is the same as the quel at least. The chest is about the same as a gm command which the gm quel chest is based on.
Man, these Revive kits are looking so f***ng good! I have to get'em! And, Zaku, your reviews are only getting better and better. Thank you so much for your amazing work!
The Mk-II is one of my favorite Gundam MS. I just ordered this one, and I’m excited to put it together. I love how each version of it looks slightly different, but all look like the MK-II.
Genuinely *love* the Revive MK-II's both AEUG and Titans version. I like them more than the RG one's design wise because they have that charming anime accurate appearance and aren't overly detailed and hold together solidly. Although there is no toe-bend, I still love the amount of articulation. Although yes, it may not be anything too special with accessories but you could get the old HGUC G Defenser attachment and make a custom Super Gundam Revive! Not a bad idea now that I think of it. Overall, I give it a 10/10 in my book
I had the same problem with my 144 Victory 2 Gundam with waste disconnecting from the Torso. I put a drop of paint in the connector piece on the Torso and rolled it around to get an even coat and it made it a lot tighter. while holding it by the Torso and trying to shake off the legs it remained intact to my pleasant surprise so Victory 2 Gundam just got a lot more poseable. I was able to get it into a really nice crouching pose
The vulcan pod has kind of grown on me, I used to dislike it. Glad this looks like a really nice kit, the Mk II has generally had good luck with having good kits for the time they come out, and this is no exception.
I feel they should always make the kits so the weapons can go in either hand for all those Left Handed (and symmetry enthusiast) modelers out there :) Well... that's under the assumption that Gundams are all ambidextrous. Thanks for mentioning that ability on this kit!
the hole in the backpack is for the G-Defenser but it's also compatible with the Build Booster MK-II. same for the RG version, you can use both of those add-ons for both versions of Gundam MK-II.
Let me guess, the next after the MK II u might review the qubeley revive? . something sad about it is the ple use is a P-bandai if i recall not like the old HG
Doing my out of box review! (Cuts to assembled kit very clearly inside a box as a backdrop) lol. RUclips production values joke dont take it seriously :)
The Mk 2 is good gundam design, it's a mass produced gundam that still has great performance. The design also makes it a worthy successor to the rx 78. It's simple with no wasted or over the top unnecessary lines or protrusions
Can you help me out? I'm definitely going to buy the Banshee but I'm not yet set on who from. HLJ is the cheapest but I want to weigh my options since it's such a huge box.
+Jordan Cockerham Well HLJ is probably going to be the cheapest, but you will have to pay a bit for the shipping. Just compare it with some American-based shops like Gundam Planet or Robot4less. Also try Amazon, they even have sales sometimes.
I didn't know where to ask, so I write here: I have very loose connection between body and waist in real grade rx-178 Does anyone have same problem? Maybe someone find solution?
Im kinda a scrub when it comes to gundam because i am fairly new so take this with a grain of salt, but in general when it comes to toys/models clear nail polish, or something that is clear and makes layers could help the joint. Again I have no idea if that would work or maybe affect the plastic so if you do use this advice be carful.
+Halonoob 117 Nail polish has been a very widely used solution to loose pieces among builders so you're doing the right thing lol. I've been doing to WAAAAY off by layering some parts with liquid cement.
+ZakuAurelius Radical! You were right about the G-Defenser/Super Gundam thing, by the way. Dalong's got a few pics of it. www.dalong.net/review/hg/h193/p/h193_26.jpg
+The Asian friend I paid the same amount for a Transient gundam, so yeah...But definitely cheaper from Japan if you buy in bulk. If you're just getting one then, yeah it's worth.
I don't like this new proportion, NAOKI just love small feet in MS but I freaking hate them.....Lower legs are way too bulky if you compare to the old HGUC ver and the shoulder are way too small...........I'm gonna stick with the old HGUC MK-II instead of buying this
Really disappointed with kit. While the articulation has improved, its not much better than the old HGUC MK II. The HGUC F91 had color-accurate weapons for a lower price, why couldn't they do that at least for the Beam Rifle? Was really looking forward to this release, but I guess the RG is still the best version of the MK II afterall...
+ZakuAurelius Did you build the old HGUC MK-II? While its definitely showing its age, in terms of seamlines and stuff, its still a good kit that can challenge the new MK-II in some aspects. For example, it has a collapsing shield and can bend the feet downwards. I have two of them, one with the Flying Armor and one with the G-Defensor. If I had the equipment I would like to do a comparison video
+StrikeFreedomV2 I haven't built the old kit, no. But I see your point. I will be getting the Flying Armor/G-Defenser set and using that for this, so I'll be able to show that in review later anyway.
Bandai should've used this as a remold for the Gundam Alex

The shield does collapse, although it isn’t how it appears in the anime. The lower half plugs into that red part
The shield can go into its collapsed form by placing the peg into the red part.

This should be the kit to make the Build Gundam MKII. Dammit bandai!
Just finished building this bad boy, last night. It was the first gunpla I ever built
nice my first one was from iron blooded
@@mogumoguokayu1418 I got some more after the MK-II, the HG Hyaku Shiki, the RG Nu Gundam, the HG Zeta Gundam, and the HG Gouf Custom
u can colapse them by plugging the peg to the rectangle hole
Muhammad Davian I was just playing with the shield I just put together and found that out. you put it in the red peephole
Anonymous Li yea
Watching again a year later bc I have it shipping in soon and an idea just hit me: RX-178 Thunderbolt Sector. IT WOULD BE SO BADASS
full armour mk ii gundam
great thing with most hg is that pieces and parts doesn't pop off easily, when you are posing or playing a round with it.
the shield can be collapsed. you can plug in the bottom half onto the red slit on the top of the shield
ORLY? Huh...
i was hoping for a 180 at the leg but its fine too
still looks like a good kit that only needs some panel lining and a top coat
Definitely a nice kit just out of box!
What this simply kit lacks is more decals. The flat finish is great and the conservative panel lines in this kit makes me appreciate the design more
The vulcan pod has kind of grown on me, I used to dislike it.
Glad this looks like a really nice kit, the Mk II has generally had good luck with having good kits for the time they come out, and this is no exception.
Great point!
Since the parts of the AEUG and Titans version are the same, could you swap out parts to make them a mix of both?
Yes, of course.
Wouldn't suggest it because it'll look weird, but yeah lmfao
@@joadarium9605 not really

The only left-handed pilots are from Zeon and Graham Aker lol
The shield does collapse, slots into the red piece
does the HGBC Build Booster mk-ii works with this kit?
prime92 tried to do it in her review, the chest part and v-fin don't fit, but the arm parts and back work on it.
I think you completely missed the collapsible feature of the shield. you're supposed to peg the lower half to the eye slits of the top half
Yes,
@@ZakuAurelius Yes,
Is the red part of the V fin compatible with the RX-78-2? I lost the part and i'm thinking on buying this model and making a mold or something :,(
Does the Shoulder armor on this kit work on the HG Revive RX-78-2?
Do you think this will work with the build mkII from build fighters? The backpack and arm guards prob. But the chest piece and head?
Build mkII parts*
The chest piece, I think won't fit as-is, but that would be pretty easy to modify i guess. And the head, just switch it off.
the hole in the backpack is for the G-Defenser but it's also compatible with the Build Booster MK-II. same for the RG version, you can use both of those add-ons for both versions of Gundam MK-II.
Im thinking of buying this and using it as a base of my custom gundam so I have one question. Is the Ballden Arm Arms compatible with this RX? thanks
As long as it have 2 3mm hole on the back it will be fine
I wonder if the HGBF Build MK II backpack and weapons will fit this
+rasheed gregory They will fit this!
is this version of the Mk II compatible with the old HGUC G-Defenser?
The backpack can fit the back pack of build Gundam MKII ??
+Rald Pro that's what I've heard, yes, not positive though.
Yes, again I'm not positive but I believe it should fit
Zach, Is this revived kit better than the rg normal mk ii?
+Danny Lee depends on you~ The Revive is cheaper and looks really nice. The RG is also nice, lots of detail.
awesome articulations
I just cut off the other end of the rifle, makes the mounting point works better
will it be compatible with the G-Defenser and become the Super Gundam?
Seen a review of the old HG Super Gundam and the reviewer did tested it on the Revive and to my surprise, it *is* compatible!
Zach, which one do you think are better for straight build Gunpla competition
is it hg mk-ii aeug revive or hg gyan revive???
Both are great. Mk-II has more weapon options, but Gyan is better for posing though I think.
+ZakuAurelius so if you enter a straight build competition like me what gunpla will you choose??
What is a straight build gunpla competition?
Let me guess, the next after the MK II u might review the qubeley revive? . something sad about it is the ple use is a P-bandai if i recall not like the old HG
Yeah the Qubeley will be the next Revive kit I review, after the Mk-II Titans version. But it wont be the next review. There will be a few in between
exited to wait for it :D
Doing my out of box review! (Cuts to assembled kit very clearly inside a box as a backdrop) lol. RUclips production values joke dont take it seriously :)
Does the kit comes with a stand?
Nope, the HGs don't as far as I know. The ones he uses in his videos are like $6 though
Is the old g-defenser that came with the old version compatible with this?
I believe so yes. There was a P-Bandai set of that for this if I remember correctly.
@@ZakuAurelius would you possibly make a video someone suggests you to?
This one or the rg for articulation?
Aliff Paulo RG
My general thoughts on the mk 2....it's a good base for customization.....that really it.
The Mk 2 is good gundam design, it's a mass produced gundam that still has great performance. The design also makes it a worthy successor to the rx 78. It's simple with no wasted or over the top unnecessary lines or protrusions
Have you finished the PG Banshee yet? If not I'll have bought it and built it before you have hahaha
It's a work in progress! November and December have soooo many kits. So a lot of reviews to do.
Can you help me out? I'm definitely going to buy the Banshee but I'm not yet set on who from. HLJ is the cheapest but I want to weigh my options since it's such a huge box.

+ZakuAurelius I live in the US, Texas to be exact
+Jordan Cockerham Well HLJ is probably going to be the cheapest, but you will have to pay a bit for the shipping. Just compare it with some American-based shops like Gundam Planet or Robot4less. Also try Amazon, they even have sales sometimes.
mine has the same poping off waist as well.
big contrast from rx78's
Should I get this or the Ground Gundam Type-S
So wich one did you get?

but i am confused which one i will buy the gundam x maoh or mk 2 plss help me
Vincent Durana Mk-II definetly IMO
Should I get this, or the real grade?
both are pretty great. so just go for whichever fits best for you (or both)
Ok thanks
But here's the trillion-dollar quesiton. How does it work with the HG Flying Armor? Can it store the shield and ride it while lying down?
Yes!
+ZakuAurelius Radical! You were right about the G-Defenser/Super Gundam thing, by the way. Dalong's got a few pics of it.

Wait so they did a super gundam?????
is there a MG version of this?
Yes, the original and a 2.0
I want to get this then paint it to RX-78-2 colors
i found it for 20$ do you think its worth it?
+The Asian friend I paid the same amount for a Transient gundam, so yeah...But definitely cheaper from Japan if you buy in bulk. If you're just getting one then, yeah it's worth.
Depends on where you live. If you're living in the US then I'd guess that's a pretty average price I guess, if that's including shipping.
Mine has a shitty waist, torso pops off non stop
Yeah a lot of these Revives have that issue because they share that similar design feature (such as Ground Gundam, Ground GM, and their variants)
Are you ever gonna get Shin Musha Gundam? :D
No plans for it, sorry.
