      @@HaynesMusic thanks Ben, I’ve got loads to come. Just need editing together which is time consuming. I love making them, they bring the past to life.
      Until I made this one I didn’t realise that iconic weir is actually over 230 years old and a left over bit of history from the Derby canal, it only exists due to the canal !

    very well done.been across that bridge many times,there used to be a boat rotting away on the cattle market side.

    The drone footage really helps to remind me of the bridge’s location. Must have been sturdily built to carry the horses and withstand the river in flood. Did the boats stay on the upstream side, perhaps rubbing against boards?

      Thanks yes I thought that my drone would help place it for people that don't really know that area. Yes the canal boats would be on the right side otherwise would end up stuck on the weir !

    the canal was more or less stopped at the river edge but full of weeds.

      ok, real shame we lost it all. Great that they are trying to restore it some of it.
