Cheap makeup can give u acne Edit: I somehow saw this comment after 3 years and wow. Now, when I think of cheap makeup I think of the makeup from the dollar store not the drugstore, which I do think can give u acne and has a higher chance of giving u acne. However, it's different for everyone.
She may have found a really great deal on it. Plus, if you buy a high-quality item, you won't have to replace or repair it for a long time, which is why that still is frugal.
audrey sandoval it’s not ;) because if she is a stay at home mom doing RUclips and her husband works too, RUclips pays really well, more than 30k if you do well on it and her husband makes money too
Look up her story. Her husband started a business and they didn't have much income at time and had 15k in debt. She then with a total of 31k in income and at that time 4 kids was able to pay off all the debt and as she says actually live a better life finding cheap and free ways to save lots of money.
Good tips, but after watching this, she's not really "frugal." How is buying a 400k home frugal? There are definitely several different levels of frugality.
Liam Mcgee our 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house we use to have in Riverside CA with a POS garage was sold for $500k and that was cheap our Uncle sold his for $850k it was an antique home though
i think Jordan is great and has a ton of helpful tips for raising kids. frugality in my book means living within your means and getting a high value for the dollar-it doesn’t just mean getting the lowest price. you can drink only tap water, bathe once a month and just eat rice and beans and barely spend any money (that’s one way to look at frugality)-but i’m thankful Jordan shares tips about how to have a comfortable life while spending way less than most people do for the same lifestyle.
CmaxEnergi they don't mention how well to do her husband is....and she does what all mom's do...find bargains for their kids. the husband probably pays for the house
CmaxEnergi My grandmother used to lived in a big house she inherited from her aunt. It's very spacious with 12 bedroom (used to be a summer house for the whole family to gather). She only heat the room she used, and keep her activity within certain area of the house. Save a lot on heating that way.
Ok so I'm sure she has some great tips but why did you buy a $400,000 house? A real "queen of frugal" would've bought a $200,000 dollar house and had it paid off by now. I could give you a million tips hun, like don't spend $300 on a piece of furniture that's basically just for looks. Look on craigslist or the thrift store
My dad said that his father never cared about living in such a big house and fancy stuff. He cared about well. He would always make sure they ate well and that they lived happy with food. They're not fat.
Wait, how do you make a lasagna that big for only $1.50? The lasagna noodles itself could cost that much or even more. What about the cheese and tomato sauce? I'm not trying to put her down or anything. I think it's awesome she's a stay at home mom, and she's running her business (website) from home. That's cool!
She probably bought the groceries in bulk, like a large bag of cheese and big jars of pasta sauce, and only used some of them for that particular dish. She could be estimating it was only that dollar amount for what she used out of all she bought, but if you were just going to make one lasagna you're better off just buying a frozen one than buying every single ingredient.
She could have purchased them on sale and/or in bulk or with coupons. Especially if she had coupons and worked the system well enough, she could have gotten a lot of those items for a few cents or even free.
I would never buy makeup at the dollarstore. So many of the dollarsstore products have been found to contain lead, no telling what the make up contains. And I would argue that this lady is not frugal, she just chooses to spend her money on her house. Also even cheap clothes and shoes add up when you buy so many. This is not being frugal.
If theres a term for someone who loves deals then thats what she is. But she is not frugal. I get the argument about minimalism VS frugal. You gotta look at frugality looking at the big picture. Sure, one prolly bought 20 pairs of shoes at 75% off each but thats not really saving when one could've been content with 5 pairs (but thats minimalism). Frugality perhaps a little more capricious with maybe 10 pairs. But more than that then u just wasted money no matter how cheaply u bought them for and at the end of the day, it's a negative to their overall bottomline.
She was the TLC show, “Extreme Cheapskates” 🤣 Also, it is very sickening that she give 10 Cheerios to her kids Furthermore, it is also sickening that she uses leftovers from her neighbors.
This is a family of six with one income. What she is doing to allow herself the freedom of staying home and respecting her husband and their one income is living on a strick budget. She is showing you champagne taste with beer money. Give the gal some kudos.
She was on cheapskates. TLC I remember she was knocking on neighbours doors for their extra left overs and also bought goat and chickens for saving on meat and eggs. She was also teaching her kids to count toilet paipers for each family memers's dailay use
I think my daughter who is only fourteen is good at being cheap. For example most of her tops she bought brand new for $2.00 a piece on clearance. I am glad she won't get them from rummage sale though. Only because in our area you still would end up paying $2.00 and you know stores wash and dry their clothes after you try them on if you don't want them so you don't have to worry about critters . I insist on washing and drying clothes after buying the clothes any ways only because dealing with critters could cost more.
Stores wash and dry their clothes after you try them on if you don't want them? Please tell me you're kidding and you don't seriously believe this. Not even the super high end stores wash and dry clothing if you've only tried it on!
I used to work at a clothing store and we never washed or dried ANYTHING. I can't tell you how many times I picked up clothes off the floor and put them right back on the table, or put it right back out on the sales floor after someone tried it on.
Buying dollar store makeup can actually be dangerous because it's not quality the ingredients can cause all sorts of things, they can cause you to break out your skin could react badly to it, you could have an allergic reaction, it can clog up your pores more than quality makeup, cheap doesn't always mean good
A "floor model" is the item on display. The furniture you see in a furniture shop is the "floor model." The furniture is taken out of its original packaging for display and advertising purposes. If, for example, the customer expresses interest in purchasing an out-of-stock item, the company may opt to sell the floor model for a discount.
Let me give you a tip don't let her shop at sephora don't let her shop at Macy's , Nordstrom that's the place where all the expensive make up is at. If she shop at drugstores for make up she is saving you big huge bucks a lipstick at a drugstore it can cost $7.99 at Sephora the cheapest lipstick can cost $20 . She will save much more shopping at drugstores for her make up.
let me just go get 400,000 dollars for a house. stay home mom of 4. where were the kids when she went to the store....the nanny. if your husband is paying your way be modest not frugal.
I consider myself frugal drive a used car, shop sales and clearance racks. I do my Christmas shopping through out the year and buy clothes from thrift stores . But I don't buy used shoes and when I purchase something like a vacuum cleaner I use it a lot (I have pets and children....so A LOT) I don't buy a 30.00 vacuum , I buy the 120.00 vacuum that I don't have to replace every six months and it works better. My children's computers were bought from a pawn store (always haggle on the listed price). Also check Craigslist under the moving sale(people want it gone and you can get some good deals) .
Makes so much sense when they said she's from SLC area. This life is not far off from how Mormons usually live anyways. Going to yard sales is cool, buying in bulk is even cooler.
there is no way i would wear makeup from dollar store. who knows whats in it. its great to be frugal except that, like they say u get what u pay for. on the other hand i really hate to be around cheap ass people. quality is always better when it comes to anything, especially food.
She's frugal (to an extent) but not cheap. Cheap is when you buy the cheapest item even at the lowest quality. Frugal is maximizing the value and cost ratio of the product/service purchased.
define snapping it up in a way "me" or someone else who doesnt under stand it either in a way we understand please and thank you. also when you say "by snapping it up" it sounds like she cheated the owner
Hold up hold up she's a Frugal mom and she owns a MacBook Pro, about a 150 boots, and 4 racks of shirts? AND A MILLION DOLLAR HOUSE?!?!?!?!? HOW IS THIS MOM FRUGAL ?!?!?
People saying she isn't frugal or judging her for what she is doing and has done. Well at least she is doing better than most of us so no point of judging
Don’t think you guys know this, but she’s a millionaire, and that’s a million dollar home. She has an episode on Extreme Cheapskates. It does say it’s a million dollar home in the video, sorry. Based on what I saw in the episode, Jordan is now trying to start a farm in her backyard.
Have you SEEN extreme cheapskates?!?! Living in a large house and having a closet full of designer clothes isn’t frugal. U should see me cooking food on the car engin lol
Cheap makeup can give u acne

One cent shoes from Nordstrom? I'm calling shenanigans here, I need clarification!!
she got them at a yard sale
Isnt that the same lady who feeds her kids like 10 pieces of Cheerios for breakfast 😂🤦🏼♀️
Yes and she also cuts one whole waffle into 4 small pieces one for each of the kids 😂😂😂😂

Good tips, but after watching this, she's not really "frugal." How is buying a 400k home frugal? There are definitely several different levels of frugality.
+Tom Salazar a 400k home that size is ridiculously inexpensive
Liam Mcgee our 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house we use to have in Riverside CA with a POS garage was sold for $500k and that was cheap our Uncle sold his for $850k it was an antique home though
+Liam Mcgee it's in Utah lmfao.
Tom Salazar the price is high, but depending on where you live and the cost of living there it just might be a steal.
That house is ridiculously cheap for 400K, my two bedroom one bathroom house in California is 600K but yeah then again she lives in Utah lmao
i think Jordan is great and has a ton of helpful tips for raising kids. frugality in my book means living within your means and getting a high value for the dollar-it doesn’t just mean getting the lowest price. you can drink only tap water, bathe once a month and just eat rice and beans and barely spend any money (that’s one way to look at frugality)-but i’m thankful Jordan shares tips about how to have a comfortable life while spending way less than most people do for the same lifestyle.
they can afford normal stuff, just look at the house she is living in
If you have $300 to spend on a hutch and $400k to drop on a house, you too can be "frugal"!
I would agree
I remember when she baked cookies inside a car
Friggin freak. Who does that lol.... ugh
Yeah but the show was fake, she has a RUclips channel and she exposed TLC and said everything was fake.
What does it cost to heat and cool that massive house? Electric bill? Nuts!!
