    You should try a Morgan or LoRan hoop. They hold the fabric much tighter and won’t have give when you punch into it.

    I just bought my Ultra Punch Needle and appreciate your videos on setting it up and threading it and just subscribed to your channel too. What is a number 25 floss? I have skeins of DMC embroidery floss. I was hoping to use 6 strands of it in my medium needle. Will that be okay? Also, I read another one of your replies and you said you can use 4 ply yarn with it. Do you mean I can use 4 ply worsted weight yarn with the large needle? I hope you can answer both of my questions. Thank you

    • @angelicnotesofficial
      @angelicnotesofficial 4 года назад +1

      Hi Sarah! Thanks soo much for subscribing to Little Yellow Yarn!
      To answer your question about DMC 6 strand floss-
      Yes, you can use this floss with the medium-sized needle provided in your Ultra Punch kit.
      As far as the 4-ply yarn is concerned, from my understanding, you can use it with the large needle.
      If you've purchased your Ultra Punch Needle kit from The Old Tattered Flag, there should be a guidebook as to what type of embroidery floss you can use with each needle size.
      😄Happy punching, and welcome to Little Yellow Yarn!

    I use a Q snap but I wrapped each bar with bias tape. That material will not loosen at all. No need to keep pulling on fabric.

      Maria, I just realized I failed to read your question correctly! Lol. Soo sorry!
      I honestly don't know about those 2 delicate fabrics. The thicker the fabric, such as weaver's cloth, the better the stitches will stay.

    Hi!! I got an ultra punch and tried using it for the first time today. The needle is so sharp that it’s cutting the fibers of my weavers cloth, and the stitches can’t stay in. Have you ever heard of this happening before?

    • @littleyellowyarn5593
      @littleyellowyarn5593  4 месяца назад

      Hello and thank you for your comment! The needles are absolutely sharp! Make sure you are using proper punching techniques and spacing. This should ensure that your stitches stay in place. Hope this helps and soo sorry for the incredibly late reply!

    I’ve watched a couple videos and I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. How does the thread actually thread the material? When I lift and slide it’s just punching holes.

    • @littleyellowyarn5593
      @littleyellowyarn5593  5 лет назад

      Hi Sam! Thanks for watching my video!☺️
      What kind of material and hoop are you using? Weaver's cloth is recommended to use for punch needle projects. Also, a hoop with a 'lip' will hold your cloth tight, and keep it from moving.
      I hope this helps! Keep me posted!

    Can we use any kind of fabric??

    • @littleyellowyarn5593
      @littleyellowyarn5593  3 года назад +1

      Hi Sonar! Thank you for watching my video!😄
      You can use any fabric, but do take note that the thinner the fabric, the more likely it is to fray, and will fail to keep your stitches in place.
      I recommend using 100% cotton material, and weavers cloth, with wearer's cloth being my first pick for this particular punch needle.

    I find it really, really hard to thread the eye of the punch needle with the threader.

    • @littleyellowyarn5593
      @littleyellowyarn5593  4 месяца назад

      It's definitely annoyingly flimsy! Takes a bit of practice, but I find holding the threader closer to its eye helps me guide it a lot better into the actual eye of the punch needle.
