Jamaica dominated track and field at the last three Olympic Games with Usain Bolt, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Elaine Thompson, Omar McLeod. Bolt won 100m and 200m gold medals in Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016 while Thompson won the Rio 2016 sprint double.
Fraser-Pryce won the 100m in Beijing 2008 and London 2012 while McLeod 110m hurdles victory came in Rio 2016. In Tokyo 2020, Jamaica will be looking to Asafa Powell, along with new kids on the block Briana Williams, Kevona Davis, Ashanti Moore, Akeem Bloomfield, Kiara Grant, Yohan Blake, Danielle Williams, Janeek Brown and many more.
Legend has it that they are still on the field waiting for their time 😂😂😂
Excellent, continue to soar ACKEEM❤
Looks like he jumped....I have watched it several times now. No matter, still a super talented sprinter
Yea I agree..it was a false start..very talented kid for sure.
I watched it one time and noticed he jumped. The young man has a bright future.
Congrats young man🎉
THE FALSE START WAS CLEAR AS DAY, I EVEN MENTIONED IT ON THE LIVE.
The clock didn’t start because of this.
🎉🎉congratulations 🎊 👏 Sir Blake
Dang hella fast !!!
Am so glad for him please stay injured free it's a shame
It's a travesty that we have clock issues to this day.😔
Clear jump and hand timed.... Come on we in 2023 having issues like this
Blake broke the clock bullet 🔥🔥🔥😁🔋⚖️✊🏿
It could be the case of reacting before 100th of a second. The system should be updated to 80th of a second. It a shame that a superb performance like that is disqualified.
Look like a bullet false start still. But since they did not recall it congrats Ackeem well done guys.
Way how fast the man tek off dem couldn’t call back deh race deh lol
Congratulations
trials 🔥🔥🔥this yr for both men and women 100 n 200m
They had to go to (Hand Time) because Ackeem false start. The hand time conversion is T = HT + .24 = 10.13
Akeem false started. He was disqualified. The win was given to Zarnell Hughes in a time of 9.99 seconds.
When was that announced?
Unless u were inside the stadium at the time but please give us some more info on this
@@unconventionalcrosy52 its a false start he jumped before the gun went off its clear as day.
Until its officially announced, am not believing any of you. There are people hoping that he false started.
@Unconventional Crosy the official velocity meet result page has him as DQ and Hughes with the win
The false start?👀
Him false start dats why the clock didn't start
This is the way a race should be run, then decide any infringement afterward. Imagine a hurdle runner stopping at the first hurdle from a faults start and getting injured, the race is over for them.
Clearly he caught a flyer.
I rewatched the race & use my phone stop watch to time it & I stopped the clock at 9.83 Sec. Mmmmm
JA video and broadcasting often time look shady when athletes get out the blocks. Only if they had the false start detector. It look obvious his reaction was super quick. But the official has the final say and they didn’t call it back. Well, way to keep your season consistent kid @AckeemBlake
This was an embarrassment. JAAA needs to spend money & invest in Seiko or Omega equipment. They need to retrain the officials. As a matter of fact, CARICOM needs to invest in Seiko/Omega & retrain the officials. There are too many mistakes being made. Last year national trials, the women's 100m had about 3 callbacks, plus they had to wait & wait for the race to restart. Champs '23, hurdles heights were wrong, officials walking across live track injuring athletes, Carifta total disaster. We can't host international meets with all this nonsense.
You're spot on correct. In addition, officials fail to test athlete, causing world record relay time to be unrecognize and athletes place at 70m start line for a 60m run. Too many blunders over the last 2 years...I'm embarrassed.
@@andrewgayle8534 meet officials don't test athletes bro that's Jadco's role
@Track Boss Yes, I'm fully aware of that....when I mentioned officials' failures, I was referring to ALL officials engaged in the running of the sport
ah me one si di false start?
Does hand time mean stop watch?
Yes
4th was 3rd.. that was almost funny..
The hand time thing is a bit disappointing, due to faulty electronics
All unu problem is unu never hear the gun but the athletes did
Install a new clock or back up.
That was a clear false start, unfair to the others.this should not stand.
Ackem is still a fast talented runner, he could beat the field again if he had too
The gun stuck or it was a one pop.
His reaction to the gun fool y'all not a darn false start.
If no false start, why did they have to use Hand time ? So, the automated blacks were working BUT the automated timing systems was NOT. They are link together. I'm not hating. The meet organizers should have done a better job. The race was a BOMB. No good. Hand time is only 10.13 and we don’t know the wind reading. OMG.
@@hiramhubbard5190 you need to take that up with God.
@@tequila7120 You are being silly now, because you know I'm right.
@@hiramhubbard5190 have u ever been any kind of athlete I guess not 🤔
Teach dem mi boss... bout false start... the gun went, anuh him tell dem not to react.
What a shame where is the time😊
jump start
He kinda jumped the gun.
Hughes twitch in the blocks so if it was false start it would be Hughes
Such a great idea, let the race run then announce winner based on VAR results. No more time wasting.
Lol
He jumped. I don’t know why they didn’t catch it.🤔
Great sprinting but that was a clear false start like it or not but all z blind can see
That waiting experience was disgraceful...
You're only allowed to hand time to 10th of a second
............Not a false start??? dont know...i think the computer was fooled.
Such a mess !!😳
Bruh that was a false start 🌚
Blake left before everyone else. Seem like a false start.
Dude jumped by a mile, was getting ran down by the man who would have won a fair race, and get outta here with any hand timed stuff.
NAH play
That looked like a false start to me.
Seriously, the country going backwards..
Where have you been ..
Epic~ False start 🤣
False started!!!
Looks like he false started though.
False started...
Hand time is never correct.
Hand time doesn’t count
Jamaican officials need to stop sabotaging the athletes them get the best systems in the world because our athletes are the best in the world
False
False start 😂😂😂
False start...
false start so no time??
Great start or jumped. Lol
False start from a million miles away.
