Lauren Graham seems to fit the personality of Lorelai pretty well, but Alexis doesn't seem to be like Rory at all.
Well, Alexis has definitely gotten older and changed in more ways than Lauren probably has. Not that Lauren has stood still or anything like that, but Alexis being the age she is would probably have had some more things that have changed her. I actually feel she has gotten more comfortable playing different characters, something Lauren already had while on the "Gilmore Girls", which Alexis couldn't have had as much of at that time -- so, that probably explains why Alexis is so not like Rory anymore.

I literally feel like Lauren is Lorelei but there is no acting involved she is just Lorelai she's so perfect for that character. I I felt like Rory or should I say Alexis was kinda just uncomfortable. Am I the only one who felt like that I don't know?
I haven't seen Alexis Bledel in too many other things, so maybe she just isn't used to that sort of thing, or maybe she wants to put GG behind her and wants to be viewed as more than just "Rory"? Who knows...
idk i do agree Lauren definetly was omg Lorilai. THey did pick a good Rory too like Alexis played her so well i just think mabey she just was mabey alittle you know uncomfortable like Laurn was about the interview idk i miss this so much i just loved this sereis i loved watching it with my mum when we would have girls night when the boys wernt there we said that we were just like Loralai and Rory. it would be totes awseome if it became a movie.

Lauren really is a great actor and overall amazing person even out of the show. The show was very different then all shows I ever watched. It drew me in like stars hallow (excuse me if I spell that wrong) was my home. Watching it,I felt so cozy and happy especially because of Lauren's personality is unique. Gilmore Girls was and always be my favorite show.
Have you? I love her successful parts as actor. As the person I watch ,I think lauren is very interesting. Now if I was to meet her in person,That will be awesome.
She is funny in interviews, at least the ones I’ve seen...and definitely this show is different. I think that’s what makes it so great! :)

This show was just so amazing and all the characters had such great personality. The writing was incredible, the town was SO realistic (this is one of the FEW shows where you can see every wall of every room, have you noticed that?), and the entire cast fit each character so perfectly! I really wish they would continue the show, it will always be one of my very favorites!
Did you also notice when they shot at angle where they pointed to the roof and there was none? Or where the mic accidentally came into view? Lol
This literally brought tears to my eyes. That just shows how much I miss these girls & the show. Please, if the right people are reading this, do the movie. Give us the ending we've all been dreaming about for the last 3 years!
Finally announced today that Netflix is making a new Gilmore girls. God always answers our prayers.

I think they are both beautiful also. Alexis has such beautiful hair, short, long, mid-length, doesn’t matter! She has nice skin, too. Up close, you can see her freckles. That’s nice...to wear makeup natural enough to see her freckles (I saw photos of her at awards shows and that was how her makeup was).
why are people so surprised that Alexis is not like her character? That is literally what acting means, like jeez people.....just because Lauren seems to share a lot with Lorelai's character, does not mean this applies on every actor and actress.
I just miss them together on a show that just worked. I loved the show because of writing and the characters.

I can totally understand Alexis' little caring about GG, I mean, she grew up on the show, and it gave her foundations on acting, but now she must want to explore new roles and break down the whole "sweet and innocent" image that Rory gave her. Hence her role ond Mad Men...
This show taught me all about how to deal with getting my first period, even though I'm a man. Thanks show.

I love Lauren and Alexis so much! They are two incredibly talented, beautiful, wonderful actresses. Lorelai and Rory are two of my favourite TV characters ever!
I would absolutely love a Gilmore Girls movie just because it would be great to see the characters, Stars Hollow and the very talented cast of actors together again.... If it doesn't happen though, that's okay too. We have 7 amazing seasons to love and enjoy, laugh and cry again and again.

I don't think Alexis would ever agree to the movie, from the interviews I have seen with her it seems like she just wants to put it behind her even though it is now and probably will always be her most notable work ( sorry to say ) I guess she is on mad men now but I don't think she is a lead or anything ... I have seen her in some lower grade kinda cheesy films. .... I don't know. I wish Lauren starred in more movies and tv and what not because she was the star that lit up gilmore girls. and she has such a presence.

I'm willing to bet Alexis does feel a certain degree of gratitude and affection for the series but when the words "Gilmore Girls" pop up, the first thing in her (and Lauren's) mind is, "6/7 days a week filming, for long, long days". It's possible to be fond of a memory and at the same time, you just remember how the experience burned you out, physically, mentally and emotionally.
The two of them are so gorgeous they actually look like mother and daughter!! What i really love is that alexis was around the actually age of the character Rory which i thought fit really well
this is one of the few shows where i'm convinced the actors playing mother and daughter are related! those two are so similar its scary!!
i hope the do like a final conclusion tv special!! i really want loreli and luke to get married and rory back with logan!! i loved him! he was a lil arrogant but i loved that work dork! lol :)

I just love this show and the dynamic between these two wonderful actresses. Can not wait for the new stuff to come out. I've always wondered though, in interviews they seem very similar to actually Rory and Lorelai. That may be something they do just for the fans, I wouldn't know since I have not met them, but it's kinda nice to think they are actually quite similar.
Well sometimes writers create the character based off the actors personality. That's probably why the show was so smooth.
Actually, for Rory, the writer said she already had the personality of the character. So, in that case, the actress was already similar to her character.
Yeah she was always a bit shy and fit to the role. In the movie she improved her skills and you have the feeling that she grow up.

Yep, for me too! I've been watching all 7 seasons every year for the past 2 years, I have not watched it yet this year but I'm already getting the urges to watch it again, so in a couple of weeks I'll get my Gillmore Girls overdose of the year!

I was too young when the show started. I do remember seeing clips of it, but I didn't understand it. I love watching the relationship of mother daughter. I understand the relationship between Emily and Lorelai. I guess I see it from the adult point of view.
Its so weird :D I hated Emily as a kid/teenager and now I watched the show again. I can understand her so much and Emily is quite funny :D. Sometimes I get really annoyed, because the fight seems to never end. Currently I'm watching the new "Season" and I hope they find closure. No Spoilers guys.

Wow I’m 17 and I’m reading comments that were written when I was 9. I watched both Gilmore girls and I love it I hope they make a second season.
I just finished watching all 7 episodes again...its becoming an annual ritual. The dialogue is still so intoxicating and the characters inspiring! I don't think I'd like to see Rory with anyone if there was a reunion - that would spoil the whole premise of a Gilmore Girl; unmarried and exploring the world...there is still so much to explore.
Same…I’m on my 3rd time this year already and typically watch 2-3 times a year. I do this with Doc Martin as well.
They are the same, basically, off-set as they were on camera. Love them both. And, RIP Bunheads (aka The Gilmore Girls Go to The Ballet)

Just discovered the Gilmore Girls. Didnt watch during its initial run. I had read about the awesome writing on the show and decided to check it out - so i just now finished watching all 7 seasons while i recovered from a bad head injury...awesome show from beginning to end. It deserved to finish on its own terms. We need a mini series reunion - 8 episodes to finish it all. Rarely have i ever found a show that had me emotionally invested in so many of its characters. Absolutely love Paris!

i just re-watched the first two seasons of this show in like 3 days.. but i can't even watch any more because every time i do i remember how it ends... i really wish they would make a movie or even just one more episode to show rory and logan end up together because the way it ended just makes me SO sad...
