Your excitement at the upcoming concert is palpable, Thale! It's such a great experience. He is obviously happy, really happy on stage. Uncanny Valley is probably my favorite of his new songs, which is saying something, given how incredible the whole EP is. I found it to be very sensual and intriguing. He talked about it being about the relationship we have with technology--not that it's bad or good, but that it just *is*, and we should examine it for better or worse.
Oh, you read my mind and put the lyrics on the screen. He can do some really interesting things, musically. It took a bit but I like the kind of spatial reversal. I hope you have a blast in Berlin. 👍👍👍🎶🎶🎶♥♥♥🎶🎶🎶👍👍👍
He really does, and I was so happy about the things he did both musically and with the sound design in this. I will definitely try to remember to put the lyrics up like this when there aren't any subtitles in the video.
Thank you for your reactions to both versions. I am so excited to see this wonderful singer with his beautiful voice again. I also immediately fell in love with this song. The sound is incredible!🤗🤗❣❣
I have a feeling I'm not the only one who finds this chorus running through my mind on repeat, thanks to what I call an "ear dragon" (instead of an "ear worm" in a nod to Avi's love of dragons).
This is such a great song, no matter how you interpret it. Avi says that he doesn’t mind how people interpret his songs although some interpretations baffle him. Here is his own “behind the song” explanation: ruclips.net/user/shortsW84sFItEkkU?si=LEB9j4794iyijfe4 The concept of uncanny valley is in short how human-like robots can become before we humans find it uncanny (more accurate explanations on eg Wikipedia). I like Avi’s twist on the subject. For a “real” and wonderful lovesong, I suggest “Without your lovin’”.
I'm glad you posted this, Dorrit. I commented similarly hours ago, and it disappeared. I reposted and it disappeared again 3 times. I thought maybe my mentioning of AI was to blame, as some platforms have an aversion to anything close to a criticism.
@@charlottevan_8 Luckily, I haven’t had that problem for a long while but I still write most of my comments in Notes and then copy them to YT. Such a bother.
I love all of this info, and I can promise that I’m not removing said comments at least. Love all the meaning in the songs he does and the possible interpretations we can do on top of that. I am familiar with the term, and how it’s been used to also describe the very realistic, yet off putting, cgi created people in movies and games. We are so adept at seeing faces that we immediately find that something is off even when we can’t properly pinpoint what. ❤️

I really can't wait to see him live.

You're very welcome :)
It really was great.
This is really good song, you can interpret it anyway you want, that’s what’s so good about Avi’s songs, they really make you think xx.
I really love that about Avi's music. Even if it is personal to him, we can make it personal for us as well

I love the term ear dragon, so much better. Dragons are awesome
