The Sword bring metal and hard rock back to the forefront. And I'm not talking about all those little silly games with sub-genre labelling. These guys are above that. Straight up, no-nonsense, classic metal. How they aren't selling out arenas is absolutely beyond me.

(:25 - :47) This riff is arguably the heaviest, most bad ass doom metal I’ve ever heard. The intro leading up to :25 is the perfect lead in, and then they deliver a riff so heavy it sometimes gives me chills.
Jimmy is such a good drummer to be able to memorize all those all songs and play them like this. They're no joke! This is when he was new in the band. Still using Ludwigs (now he uses Qdrums most of the time) and no China (now he uses the K Custom Hybrid).
I've had friends ask why I prefer going to concerts and how the music is better. This video seems to encapsulate the fun everyone can have with a live music presentation. How fun.

Hes still my favorite drummer. People say he wasn't the best, but if whenever I watch the live shows with him in it, his drumming compliments the rest of band playing and it always spot on.

Their themes and song lyrics are pretty niche. I've seen them live 3 times. The crowds were about 70% neckbeards.
Love the solo and the heavy chuggy bits. I wished I had the chance to see them when they were still around. Maybe a reunion tour someday!
