- Microsoft announced Windows 11 not to long ago and my feelings about it are mixed. I'm know I'm a little late, but here's my thoughts!

Most newer CPUs come with TPM integrated. The motherboard info probably refered to not having a slot for a TPM module.
Correct, that's what the "SPI" part means, it's a TPM on the SPI bus. CPU integrated are software TPMs
My impression of Windows 11 is Windows 10: Mac Edition.
Literally just rounded corners and some added features that have existed as user-made programs for years.
Its funny how people think rounded corners and frosted glass makes it a MacOS copy while Windows Vista had all of this before.
@ILGB What features exactly? Implemented Teams, Widgets, Snap groups/layouts, customized desktops, Running Android apps... What exactly screams MacOs to you?
@ILGB Teams is just the "update" to Skype which they also always tried to force into the OS. Widgets also existed on Windows for years. There are some similarities from Mission control but I wouldn't call that a copy. Android OS emulation has been around for ages via 3rd party so it has to happen at some point but since Android isn't Microsofts mobile OS, this wasn't their priority. I am even surprised they did this.
All I am saying is, calling Windows 11 a Big Sur copy is bullshit.
@ILGB it matters, as someone who has used both Microsoft and mac. You can clearly see through the years that there isn't actually anything copied. It's past features reused and refined. Microsoft is more innovative than mac in this area (plus third party) , it's just the features are too much too soon. Making it messy and problematic, which gets features removed. Then add on features made for Windows by third party.
All it is now, is past features made by Microsoft or third party are chosen carefully to be integrated better.
They don't copy what works, they use what works. From all the features they already have. A lot of people can see this clearly. I certainly can see this isn't a copy, from using both mac and Microsoft. Microsoft is much more customisable than mac when it comes to UI and software features.

6:05 TPM 2.0 is usually baked into the CPU, not the motherboard. Pretty much every Ryzen CPU ever and every Intel CPU since Skylake (2015) has it built in (although Windows 11 doesn't support anything older than Ryzen 2000 or Intel 8th Gen Coffee Lake at the moment). You just need to enable it in your BIOS. For Intel CPUs it's the setting labelled "IPTT" and for AMD it's "AMD CPU fTPM". Hope this helps!

Man, I really like your videos! The screen with the videos in the background gets distracting the more jump cuts you make, so maybe you could put something else in the background? Then the jump cuts aren't _that_ hard.

I really love 11's overall design aesthetic. Would've been fine if it were just a reskin, but they really had to lean into that Mac look with their taskbar hahahaha would've sufficed for them to stick to smth similar to their previous layouts
Snap layouts is available on windows 10, it's called powertoys. Much more powerful than snap layouts but isn't as user friendly. Great once you're used to it

It honestly feels like you are one of those pro-players using smurf accounts in video games, only in the case of RUclips channels. The quality of your videos are top notch. It’s like I am watching MKBHD or TechAltar, it is awesome.
One small notice though is that because of the quite frequent cuts the playback on the screen in the background is a little distracting/annoying. It’s not a big deal though, but a stationary decoration would be better IMO.
Talking about the cuts, I feel like there are too many of them. It’s not bad or anything, and I understand that it must be super hard to record a video and talk continuously in it, but maybe this is an area where you could improve in the future. For example take a look at Dave2D’s channel, the guy literally talks through a video without cuts or anything.
Still I enjoyed your video, it was great, I hope there are more to come. Keep up man!
Earlier I did not have a phone, but only a laptop. I would love to have that feature back then. I’m 15 and I had a PC since 2 years ago (not a very powerful one, 4GB System Memory - no Bluestacks working), but got a phone only a few months back. Would love to be able to play Mobile games (that use less power) back then.

I use the multiple desktops (Wich are on Windows 10) for developing websites. In VS Code, I installed Live server and it's great to swipe between code and site, instead of clicking the taskbar.
Windows 11 is what you’d get if you watched Apple reveal macOS Monterey and tried to draw it with crayons, from memory, while drunk, with one eye shut, and a low oxygen supply
I built a new PC precisely because I stupidly believed Microsoft's promise that Windows 10 would be the last version of Windows. I waited a while to see if that wourd be the case, and once pretty much everyone had switched to Windows 10, I took the plunge. I've been very happy with it, having come from Windows XP and Windows 7. I'm gonna hold out on Windows 11 until the absolute last possible second.

Honestly glad I got recommended this channel, pretty interesting and as for windows 11... it feels like a windows 10 update but better than usual though it was not needed... idk it just feels like that to me.
Something Mac used to have, that to my knowledge nobody has anymore, is window shades. That was where your window would minimize to a bar that you could click on to bring it back. It was so easy to organize my windows and open and close them. So much easier than going down to the taskbar and clicking on them that way. But maybe that’s just because I organized everything specially, in my brain.

As for Teams: everyone in my company of hundreds of thousands of employees uses Teams, and so does a lot of our clients, so, yeah: I'd say it is very much in use.

Wow you uncovered something very interesting there, regarding the TPM not being enabled, the tool giving incorrect answer, how confusing it is and how, at the end of it, the consumer risks getting ripped off for a new computer they might not actually need to run Windows 11. That’s a pretty big deal
TPM allows websites to use Windows 11 to pass it information allowing access bans of your hardware and not just of your login account at the site. Thus, a ban of your user account can also be a ban of your hardware. This prevents users from creating alternate accounts to come back to a site they were banned from accessing.
I felt similar learning my new iMac is missing the T2 Chip needed for Netflix in UHD or 1Password unlock with Apple Watch (especially after I asked AgileBits to include unlock with Apple Watch). The computer was not even 6 months old when I learned. Other products published earlier have the T2 chip

My fibre connection can go up to 500Mbps higher bandwidth . I have tested my options and seemed to be constrained to about 95Mbps with all troubleshooting scenarios.
When I checked my parameters in Windows 11
Control Panel=>Network and Internet=>Change adapter Settings
Then clicking on the Icon that showed the internet connect/Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller I saw when I went to view the (status of this Device) that I was stuck on 100Mbps on both transmit and Receive and my Activity was minimal as well in actual bytes.
When looking at older versions of Windows 10 the Status of the device showed 1 Gig instead of the 100 Mbps and the older version when tested had the expected 500Mbps quality of service.

I am disappointed with Micro$oft’s lackluster “upgrade” to Windows 10, but if you’ve been watching the market - “what goes up must come down” - right?! During COVID, some stocks did phenomenal and the market boomed, which is counterintuitive to what you might think, but COVID caused growth and lots of it, across many sectors! Then something weird happened about a year ago, the market went into free-fall, which is not necessarily bad because you should “buy low, sell high” and history shows that every major market crash led to recovery and subsequently more growth. The free-fall lasted a lot longer than it historically should have and things are now finally starting to turn around now after 11 to 12-months, or at the very least they are beginning to really stabilize. So, my point is more of a business one, but had to be fulfilled with a technological solution, and it all boils down to…
Tech companies that were previously doing great are still hurting! Microsoft is one of them, though doing a bit better maybe when compared to others. They have to still keep their investors happy and what better than a “new” product with a “captive” audience!!! See, I personally thought that Microsoft would segue to a subscription model to “maintain” Windows as their other services are proving profitable. This is not the time to do it, so by rolling up a few updates, nice tricks, and a bit of polish on top, they effectively have a “new” OS to profit on and in turn satisfy the shareholders (or at least prevent further loss)!
Now, I have a Comp Sci undergrad and did business school later on, and I think that “if it’s not broken we simply have no business trying to fix it.” Treat things well and they reciprocate the kindness! I keep my laptop very well maintained and ‘could’ put Windows 11 on, but why?! There’s no real reason to right now, but I really like the look and feel of Windows 11, so I purchased a Stardock product or two, e.g. Start11 and I could easily capture the look and most of the feel of Windows 11, all without having to leave Windows 10! 👍
I would suggest to most people to just grab a Stardock product or two and that’ll take care of the visuals, but sticking with a stable OS is the smart thing to do. Get Windows 11 once it’s more mature and proven. I like the fact that Android apps could run, but it’s not something I need and likely won’t use once the novelty wears off.
The TPM/BIOS thing is 100% accurate, just ensure it’s enabled and Windows 11 will “see” it - the thing is and I really wonder - is Micro$oft just trying to sell more PCs with Windows 11 to simply pad the bottomline? It’s definitely worth asking the question!

As a Windows Insider and ex-Microsoft employee, I was able to beta test Windows 11 on my machine that didn’t have a TPM module. Proves that it was not necessary for Microsoft to do this, to force us to get a TPM module. I ended up upgrading my machine and it did come with a TPM module, so in the end, I have Windows 11 on my new machine.

I've been using Windows 11 on my gaming PC for almost 3 weeks now, and it's nice. It's not a massive change, but I do like it.
