- I finally got over 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours, and now I'm monetize because I got my AdSense problem resolved.
It has been a long journey in getting views and subscribers but I did it!

To share with you my 2 cents, don't try to learn what tips I offer in my videos. Instead, try and see the changes in my content and thumbnails over the years then learn the process instead. I deliberately left my old horrible videos in my channel to show a journey of my channel's growth.

Congrats on the achievement. I just watched the "couldn't monetize" and "finally monetized" videos of yours back to back. We are in the process of gaining our 4k watch hours and 1k subs for our new this year metal detecting channel. I am sure we will have similar hiccups along the way and I found this info very helpful for our steadily growing channel. Thank you!
If you have not signed up to AdSense before then you will be fine. In fact, you can even sign up now and get verified first (they will send you a letter to your physical address) so that when your channel is monetized, you can simply link it to your verified AdSense account.
@@KevinChee It's odd I have had an account for decade. It was deactivated, I just had to get them the information. Then it all worked, (3 weeks later) it is very slow like you say. I'm not sure why you had an issue, I'm so happy it is fixed and you are helping people that had this issue also. You are awesome fam.

You mentioned you previously owned multiple google accounts and that led to you having another Adsense account.
I’m about starting a RUclips channel, and I know I have more than 20 google accounts, deleted and still active (total).
So I don’t know if that will become an issue for me Adsense-wise

you can always prepare your adsense account beforehand. It took a little over 2 weeks for me to verify AdSense

@@YuiAdventure I wouldn't wait till then. Probably when closer to 1k sub and 4k watch hours but not until you attained it.

Another option is to start a blog and upload a heap of content onto it, You can then apply for Google Adsense, You will then be ready to get monetized from that Adsense account once you are monetized. Having more than one Adsense account is going to get you blocked. I found that out the hard way years ago. Luckily, I managed to close that duplicate account. So have only one account and start a blog first, get accepted on your blog and it is a simple matter of connecting your RUclips account to it. And it was pretty simple from memory. I've been monetized for a couple of years now.
Yeah, I ended up closing all my AdSense accounts as well. But the problem turns out to be unrelated to getting blocked or multiple accounts. The problem was my AdSense account is linked to AdMob. So, when I try to link another service to that account, RUclips, AdSense seems to think AdMob and RUclips are the same type of product, hence, would not link them up. However, getting in contact with AdSense was the hardest part. They wouldn't respond to emails and they do not have Twitter account (not sure about now). So, it made me feel stuck at that time.

Monetisation is RUclips running ads on your videos so that you get paid for it. I’ll do a video on this after I let this go for a month.

My public watch hours is 3962.8 but unexpectedly i have clicked create adsense button and it got created.. and now it is going for 3rd step for the “RUclips YTT monitization policy”.
So will it got approved or rejected. When they will see my channel that watch time they will count or when I applied same time watch hours they will count ?

I actually landed on your last video and from the comment linking to this video, I thought it took a year to get this sorted, either due to other obligations or just RUclips themselves. But glad to hear that you got it sorted out in a week 😃
I knew about only having one adsense account, but I figured it was more so not having multiple separate gmail accounts with adsense connected to them. What I don't understand is that I already have adsense for placing ads on websites, blogs etc from a long while ago and don't want to close that to apply for RUclips monetization when I finally meet the requirements.
I suggest you link RUclips to that AdSense account which you use for blogging. If it works, great, it it doesn't then you'll fall into the same boat as me where I have to create a brand new verified AdSense account just for RUclips.

If your AdSense isn't linked to anything then you have a high chance in reusing it. Mine was linked to AdMob (for mobile app development) and AdSense doesn't like me adding another one

After 10 years of ON and OFF RUclips video creation It surely feels great. Thank you for your video, I have seen it in past and I was trying to hard to find again, because I remembered you had some good points.. So I rewatched it

On the other hand, a Software Engineer should find it easy to create and viable channel. It is an assumption since I am not an Engineer of any means. So, I am also assuming you are employed in your field and the channel is more fun than expecting to make a living off of it immediately. What I did like about your presentation is you didn't talk "too fast" as a lot of creators do. Of course, I'm older and it seems like the younger creators seem to be 'bouncy, bubbly, uppity up' and just plain blurring it out too fast. I recently took some kind of survey for RUclips I think through the email. Since I tried my own channel (before I even knew you needed a "niche") I complained that the smaller channels aren't being pushed to the feed (a lot of creators I am subscribed to are complaining). Now a lot of small channels are being pushed my way, many are not worth watching (be careful what you wish for). I am surprised that many of your videos under your "videos" on your channel page have very low viewership. This one has over eight thousand.
