Seen many Vids of Vita Vs Blendtec. Its all a different mix of same content because what else can it be? Warranty, Tamper, No Tamper, Twister.. the features. I personally have my line drawn on the real difference. Blendtec minimizes your work, and 'it' Blends. Vitamix like a baby expects you to become the blender while it offers power and speeds. One is basically Automatic 1 touch walk away, and Other is you know, shove and switch. Both will appeal to different kinds. Blendtec, a little costlier is for those who love great cooking but want some times to go on 'cruise control'. Once you setup the recipe, each time press a button lo! same result. Vitamix .. cant do that. You must @ your best training each time, must use the tamper each time and remember the speeds. In an easier format, Blendtec is like your Automatic Car with Cruise, and Vitamix is largely that nice strong car that you must drive with a manual gear, and be the driver all the time. Thats the real difference to a blender owner.

@@anti-ethniccleansing465. Well I have both of them, I bought the blendtec first at Costco 5 years ago because it was cheaper than the vitamix I paid 279 for it but because I thought the vitamix would be better because of the plunger I I finally bought it 3 weeks ago for 319 at Costco, I was planning to give my landlady my blendtec but thank God I didn't because I'm really disappointed with the vitamix, try getting hummus out of the jar is not as easy as the blendtec, there's simply more pros and less cons with the blendtec, too many cons with the vitamix, I either got a defective one or I might need to learn how to maximize its use blendtec is just much simpler to use, easy to store, is smaller than the vitamix but the motor sounds more powerful, at high speed the vitamix smells like is burning very noisy but is not doing much, I'm going to give the vitamix a couple of more weeks and if I'm still frustrated with it I'm taking it back, my blendtec after 5 years still sounds as powerful as the first day thank God I didn't give it to my neighbor and I definitely don't work for the blendtec company lol 🙃🤣😂😄😆

I purchased it new from Vitamix directly at 26 percent off plus shipping totalling $374.00. I did well making hummus with the tamper. Smoothies and green drinks are very liquified. Very pleased. My nephew bought the same model new from QVC for $315.

I have never understood the move to plastic carafes (versus glass), and I also never understood having the blades integral to the carafe. It was SO much easier to remove viscous mixtures from old time blenders with removable bases. I curse this design feature every time I work with thick mixtures. I would love to see these quality blenders have these features that used to be standard on almost all blenders back in the 60s.

I've used a Vitamix and I have the Blendtec. The Blendtec is way easier to use. The jar and blade assembly is engineered so for most things you don't need a tamper. And more importantly for me, the Blendtec jar sides are smoothe so it's far easier to get all the food out and easier to clean. There are things I don't like about the Blendtec, but all in all I prefer it to the Vitamix. Just my 2¢ worth. Oh, and my Blendtec has a dial for adjusting the speed. Here is the thing about the Blendtech not mentioned in the review...it senses the air gap and adjusts the speed of the motor and even before I can add more liquid the problem is rectified. Unless you are making super thick ice-cream or similar, then you really will never need the tamper. If you are making icecream...get an ice-cream maker as the Vitamix is the wrong tool for that. I bought the Blendtech and before I opened it saw this review and related to the need of the tamper as I had a high end vitamix in the past (ex wife has now) and had to use the tamper all the time. Inna week of using the Blendtech I can say any concerns not having the tamper are gone and am blown away with how good the Blendtech is. It is superior to the Vitmax to the point hat I do not understand how Thrive Cuisine feels otherwise.

I have used a Vitamix for many years, when it got old I then purchased the Blendtec and have now used it for 3 years. I have to say I like the Vitamix a lot better! The Blendtec lid is a joke, it leaks all the time. It does not seal the same way the Vitamix lid seals. Also, you can fill Vitamix much fuller, making larger amounts of everything. The Vitamix also made everything much creamier & smoother. With lid off you can see the Vitamix pulling the ingredients down towards the blades, with the Blendtec it shoots it up and out of the blender making a huge mess. I dislike my Blendtec blender very much. I am now going to try Tribest's new vacuum blender called Dynapro, it looks to be very promising.

No nonsense & solid warranty for my Blendtec. The rubber seal around the blade melted due to the heat resulting rubber in the food. They quickly sent new containers. After the same happened to the replacement jar, they sent one with new design. And has been problem free since then for the last 6 or 7 years. Because it's a low end model, the base is not heavy. Hence I hold down on top of the jar while blending. Same problem now happened to the twister jar. The rubber seal melted and the jar bought separately does not come with a 8 yrs warranty and it over $100 by itself. Now I am eyeing the Ascent series with the 10 yrs warranty.

I have issues with my blender making smoothie bowls with just frozen fruits. It seems as if the blendtec is far too powerful and it spends so damn fast that it throws the frozen fruit on the sides of the plastic leaving the blender to spin loudly and hard with no blending.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I truly love Vitamix, in fact, I am on my fourth machine. I purchased my first Vitamix blender, the 5000 around 2002 or 2003, and my second one, the 5200 between 2012 and 2013. They both still work fine, but I upgraded to get more features. I passed the older machines on to family members. Just this year (2018) I purchased the A2500, but I returned it because it lacked presets and a countdown timer. I currently have the A3500 which I absolutely love. The blendtec feels like chinese garbage by comparison to the vitamix after just one cycle. I dont care about the warranty because id rather not have use it in the first place. The vitamix simply feels like a stronger unit. The motor base is substantially heavier and bigger as well... I didnt see any sort of max timeout, so it seems i can actually run this closer to 100% duty cycle as opposed to the maximum 50s runtime on the blendtec. Additionally, the "analog" inputs and momentary mechanical switches on the vitamix just feel GOOD to use. The digital touch interface on the blendtec was always a terrible idea IMO. Any moisture on your hands would screw it up.

I have a Vitamix Pro 750 it really is incredible. Big moan on Vitamix though, they purchased the Blend App off the Perfect Company In January and they requested that wired scales be disabled in the Blend App. My wired scales work great with the bake, drink apps but not with the blend. Bad move Vitamix!

What's the best button to use on the blendtec go make smoothie bowls like the ladies Twin Coast uses?
I have issues with my blender making smoothie bowls with just frozen fruits. It seems as if the blendtec is far too powerful and it spends so damn fast that it throws the frozen fruit on the sides of the plastic leaving the blender to spin loudly and hard with no blending.
Also there is now a temper (that stick) made specifically for the blendtec. It's not a blendtec brand but a company created one just for the blendtec models.

They must be keen home chefs that love to personally work it in the kitchen. Otherwise I have Blendtec for 12+ years. I love its automation button control that does it all, with same results each time. Walk away blending.

@@TimothyOBrien1958 Ofc as I said in my post under author. Best is determined by checklist of what u aspire. If its hands on blending and where u love manual work its the best. As long as u need to manually run speeds and push ingredients around using the forearm its a manual machine. Isnt it

@@medretav the vitamix 3500 is so automatic lol. Tamper is a choice, still doing everything a blend tec does but the tamper is good. The 3500 vs blend tec would be a different story

    • @medretav
      @medretav 3 года назад

@@lyranlover6904 it's correct now vm has automatic. But Vitamix is a large corporation that has been there before blendtec. It kept making average equipment. Blendtec was launched by its founder Tom Dickson and in his one working life as individual he squeezed in the most advanced range of blending products both by power features and modern smooth design.
He outclassed a company many times their size. Their home range today is just awesome and incomparable. Match Vitamix and blendtec home range. It's like comparing Ford with Tesla.

I got me a blendtec 725 because it has a 3.8hp motor which to me translates to all powerful turn anything into liquid machine.
It has gotten stuck when using less liquid and frozen things. I am really considering returning it and getting the vitamix ascent 3500. But idk 2.2 hp motor much weaker lol. Wish they made a tamper for blendtec. I have never used my twister jar probably never will

Most blender "nerds" usually aren't honest about their experiences. So Vitamix's aren't bullet proof. For all the money they ask. Best maybe to get a reconditioned unit. They give you a brand new carafe, new engine ..new manual..etc. Everything is new but the engine..which is replace anyway. Why pay full price for a 3500??? $800...All that money and have that motor burn out? I'd be pretty miffed...kind of why I haven't bought one yet.
Thought you were going to introduce some new 2020 model...like the Vitamix One...not sure if that came out just this year in 2021. Blentec? Nothing new?
