Thanks for the extensive comparison. I'm very happy with my classic vitamix and I do value a good warranty. Seems like Blendec is really powerful, more than I thought
Wow! I really need a great blender. Of course I don't have one at this time because it konked out on me years ago because it was not a Vitamix or Blendtec! I really would love either brand based on your review. I really like the sound enclosure provided by the Blendtec Pro800 model! I'm sure I would be happy with either Vitamix or Blendtec models. I love that Vitamix will return for a total refund and pay for the return if not satisfied with theirs. Love those small containers too. I especially like the food processor attachment one as well.
Super informative! I didn't know that there could be so many differences between different Blenders. I also didn't know Vitamix allowed you to adjust the blade's RPM, sounds handy!
The Vitamix classic blenders have a narrower container, which in my experience, does a better job blending smaller portions. The vortex the narrower container creates also seems to result in a faster blend. The need to fill beyond the blades was mentioned in the video, and to fill beyond the blades may mean you need a bigger portion than you originally intended if you have the wide container. Back when I was first looking at a Vitamix (years ago before the newest smart blenders) they were offering a wide container blender along with the classic narrow blender, so I called the company and asked which model? The agents (called more than once) immediately suggested the narrow container because of it's blending efficiency. I imagine, however, that as time has passed they have perfected the wide container blending by increasing the motor size. As for not fitting under the counter, the 48 Oz narrow container fits. While the 64 Oz does not fit, I simply place it along side of the base :) If you get the Vitamix make sure to look at the Aer container -- it's pretty amazing
the no risk guarantee including return shipping is great for the vitamix and I also like having the tamper, I don't love snapping the lid on but it does make it more secure
This what so informative and helpful! Thank you for being so in depth! I’ve been torn between which one to get but I think I may be leaning towards vitamix currently!
Thank you! Our Blendtec just died after about 16 years of regular use, and while we loved it, I thought I'd look at some reviews to see if it was still the best fit for us. Looks like we'll be replacing it with another Blendtec :)
I've got No Idea about Blenders or this Blentek So I'm hoping I win one Love the Video I wish I knew as much as you You know what your talking about an Loved or you info an Tips Thumbs Up love 👍
I’m returning my Vitamix A3500 Gold Label.. why? My daughter is disabled and can only eat puréed foods so I’m blending rice, meats, and other thick foods. Every time I make a decent sized batch, the Vitamix always overheats and gives me an error code. Turns out you have to let it cool down for 45 minutes but my daughter can’t wait that long when it decides to do that. Will the Blendtec be able to handle VERY THICK food without overheating?? I see blendtec had a 3rd party tamper and lid addon.
I know this is very late but I own a lot of blenders between my home and work. Nothing kills a blender faster than making lots of hot soup, your best bet is to get the blendtec pro 800 and keep getting replacements as they burn up. Another option is to make the process easier on the blenders by cooking the veggies first and then throwing them in. I haven't fried a blender yet but I have burned up a lot of main bearings in jars from doing soups and I've also gotten some awful smelling smoke out of them a few times from doing soups. I have a blendtec total blender, a vitamix 5200, a vitamix quiet one and blendtec stealth x.
Just beware that Vitamix is prone to overheating and shutting down. Even when making smoothies. Of my last two Vitamix blenders the first one only lasted two years and the second one overheated the first time I made a smoothie and shut down mid way through. Very annoying. I'm considering getting a Blendtec.
Sorry that happened? I've never had that issue with any of my Vitamix blenders. Which model did you get? Was it new or reconditioned? Also are you using enough liquid in your smoothies? Did you get a new one under warranty?

Just hit 12,000 cycles on our classic Blendtec that we purchased 12 years ago. Use it everyday multiple times.
Love it!! Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks for the extensive comparison. I'm very happy with my classic vitamix and I do value a good warranty. Seems like Blendec is really powerful, more than I thought
The tiny Vitamix container is a winner for me - with two of us that makes the right amount of dips and dressing.

Thank you for the comparison and information. Hard to decide but I would choose a Vitamix.

I've used a Vitamix for years. Great blender!!
Wow didn't know that Blendtec had higher horsepower! Thanks for the info!
Been making smoothies everyday in a Hamilton Beach Commercial 908R 44Oz Bar Blender, 2 Speed, 1 HP. Only 110 rockets. It's great. Cheers!
LOL, Go Hamilton Beach!

Thanks for the detailed user feedback info! I definitely agree
Thank you for the comparisons, it's very helpful. What a great warranty for the Blendtec.

Like the high horsepower offered by Blendtec, thank you!
I adore my Blendtec. Simple, proven reliability, family-owned business. Amazing!
thanks for the informative video - it is nice to see the comparisons between the two
Love the higher horsepower, sounds amazing!!
I like the Vortex for the narrower container. Blends more smoothly and I don't need a lot for my small household
Your was very helpful, thank you very much. I am definitely going with the Blendtec.
Nice video! I didn't realize that Blendtec offers a higher horsepower motor vs Vitamix.
This what so informative and helpful! Thank you for being so in depth!
I’ve been torn between which one to get but I think I may be leaning towards vitamix currently!

You're welcome Deanna! 16 years is a good run. Which Blendtec model are you going to upgrade to?
Thank you so much for this information.
Great review, too.
I would love to get a Vitamix blender and get it with personal cups. I love that it has so many wiz s of the jar for different uses.
Thanks for the informative video. I guess the most important difference is the motor strength.
Great! Good job.😉 The difference, price and quality.
Really informative! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing what you learned. Would never have guessed where the extra horsepower was hidden.
Thank you for this information. It is very helpful.
Thank you for the comparision
I understand Vitamax is highly regarded as a brand; however, this video has highlighted that it can sometimes be complex.
The smaller footprint saving counter space is key for me.
Thank you! Interesting and helpful
Thanks for the great information!

I like a 10 year warranty better than 5. Also like a lid that clicks when put on.
Tysm for the info
I like that Vitamix has 10 speeds and lower RPMs. Both brands sound great, though.
Thanks you.
I really want to purchase the A3500 how much it cost

The warranty and the horsepower difference depending on the size of your mix.
Vitamix got the brand name power!
Very nice.

I like the higher horse power.
Love the high horsepower, most blenders don't work with large chunks.
Nice
Blendtec has a higher horsepower that is what I like..
hoping to win the giveway!!
What differences between these two brands mattes most to me is price.
👍
ice is the real test though

What are urbs?
I don't know! What are urbs? Herbs?
No risk guarantee sounds like the biggest difference to me
