      What are your thoughts on V-blending and then put that into the Nama J2??

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  3 месяца назад +4

      @@7ymlord You could do that, that being said, the Nama J2 in most cases will not extract the juice from all the pulp, it will be too fine, and it will sit and spin in the hopper, furthermore, you are still adding more oxygen into the juice than by just hand pressing, due to the rotating motion of the nama j2.

      @@discountjuicers Thanks! I found it incredibly hard to hand squeeze ginger/turmeric juice, so I just do that in the juicer, or Vacuum blend then dump it in the Nama. Most others I've been vacuum blending then hand squeezing. Thank you for all the valuable information. I really appreciate your channel!

    Hi John,
    I've been following your videos for a few years now and I find that some of them are very helpful to me. As for me, I've been selling slow juicers for 13 years, and vacuum blenders for seven. I find that there is one important piece of information that is missing about the vacuum, and the information is how much air you are taking out from the container, the pressure that you make is measurable, and it should be mentioned in the specification of the product. when such information is unavailable to me it is a sign that the pressure is not good. to remove about 80% of the air, the pressure should be -80 KPA (-0.8 bar), and any less than 70% is a weak vacuum.
    the one you are using in this video is an outside application, with a rechargeable battery and a small motor pump, which, from my knowledge and experience will do around 40% only. this will make an impact on the loss of nutrition

    John, when you vaccum juice like this, do you still store it in jars and pump out the oxygen again? Or is it okay to store without vaccum blending the jar? Doesnt the juice get reoxygenated again in the process of pouring and squeezing the juice and pouring it again into jars for storage? Thanks for your fantastic videos!

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  Месяц назад

      1. ABSOLUTELY. I store under vacuum. I always use the PURE vacuum pump that removes the MOST oxygen learn more at ruclips.net/video/yVrwOcSunZI/видео.html
      2. Is it ok to store without vacuum blending? I would say NO. I do not recommend juicing with a traditional blender, due to all the dissolved oxygen put INTO your blended mixture.
      3. YES, when you squeeze it out and pouring, minimal oxygen is introduced into the juice. the MOST oxygen would have been introduced during BLENDING since you are FORCING oxygen into the mixture. I remove this minimal oxygen by removing it with the #1 MVP pump.

    • @hb4196
      @hb4196 23 дня назад +1

      The idea is get to get as much greens/veggies/some fruit into you as possible. it is not possible to "eat" enough produce WITH the fiber, which you are doing if you do not remove the pulp. I do both- extraction juicing and blended juice with fiber. John does this too. Plus I eat a lot of raw veggies and other vegetarian food with fiber. There IS such a thing as too much fiber. This is a way to get even more nutrients, using a variety of food prep methods.

      There are pros and cons of straining, unstrained you keep all the fiber but may not get as high absorption from some of the nutrients. By removing the fiber the juice can be more easily digested.

    John, will you ever do a test to see how much vacuum different blenders and lids pull? I believe it's simply just a matter of placing a vacuum gauge inside the carafe and then starting the vacuum. Maybe use 2 or 3 different brand/model gauges since they can vary in accuracy & precision and they're small so it should be easy to "throw" multiple ones in each carafe

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  3 месяца назад +2

      Vacuum juicing IMO is a SLOW way to make juice, since there are several steps: precutting produce, pulse blending, pressing out juice, and repeating. I am significantly faster bulk juicing with the Nama J2. This is why I stopped Vacuum juicing, since it would take me much longer. During the pandemic I only vacuum juiced, since I had more time, produce cost more and was not easily available sometimes. These days I normally vacuum juice only when I have expensive ingredients or want to maximize nutrient extraction.

    So buying the kit for a Vitamix, is basically just using the Vitamin motor and not the Vitamin blades. But at $300 for the kit, I might as well just buy the Void blender because that's what my Vitamin cost me years ago and I thought that was too expensive at the time. The Void blender warranty period is a bit low by todays standards, that's disappointing. It's all just is so friggin expensive and I have to wonder how much better blending under vacuum really is for you in the long term, because by the time the body fully digests the drink it's been exposed to oxygen during the process.
    I'm confused how a knife never needs sharpening, that's just impossible. But for long term use, a ceramic knife isn't practical because of how easily they chip and break and for their price, it's just not cost effective.
    So you only consume raw foods. I don't know if I could ever not have mashed/whipped or baked potatoes, that would be tough for me.
    But honestly this video went 50% longer than it needed to be because the same material was repeated over and over again. Still gave you a thumbs up though.

    Can the Kuvings CB1000 be used for juicing as well? Also does the blending in vacuum blender heats up product inside say compared to low rpm juicer like Sana 727 so nutrients might be lost with vacuum blending there?

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  Месяц назад +1

      Yes, the CB1000 can be used for juicing as well, it does have a smaller carafe, so you cant make as much juice at once. You would also need to precut the produce as I show in this episode. In a vacuum blender, the mixture CAN heat up if you run too long, but most items only take 30 seconds to process so minimal heat is generated. Despite the minimal heat, IMO the heat is NOT as big of a problem as OXYGEN being added into the juice using a traditional blender, high speed juicer and to lesser extend slow juicer. See ruclips.net/video/7ILENcNpVOw/видео.html where I compare vac juicing to sana 727 and share my thoughts.

    I bought and burned out two Vitamix blenders. The original blender was 450.00. I bought a Chinese blender for $40 delivered that is still working perfectly more than two years later and blends just as well as the Vitamix. That's right folks, a blender for 11th of the price of a Vitamix.

      would not recommend the dates will get too gummy, and probably clog juicer and will be difficult to take apart.

    I'd like to see your dissolved oxygen test when using vacuum, letting some other gas in (such as CO2, argon, or hydrogen, etc), vaccuming again, then blending, and then let the gas in again instead of air. And only then letting air in. Liquids absorb gasses when they come out of a vacuum.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  3 месяца назад +2

      IT would be cool to nitrogen flush or Co2 Flush blender carafes before juicing after vacuuming, but nobody makes a set up to do that. Make one and I will promote it!

      @@discountjuicers have you ever had any ideas for a perfect blender? Like a vacuum blender that can also double as a press to extract the juice while still under vacuum?

    • @jamesjonnes
      @jamesjonnes 3 месяца назад

      @@discountjuicers One just places a plastic bag around the top and fill it with nitrogen or something else, like a balloon, then when one releases the vacuum of the blender it'll suck that instead of air.

    Best way to clean those bags? Guess i cant toss them in the washing machine with detergent and such, does it get clean hand washing it with just hot water?

    • @snoopybluejeans
      @snoopybluejeans 3 месяца назад +1

      I's just rinse them right away, see if they get clean. I'd be wary of having detergent residue on the cloth.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  3 месяца назад +1

      I spray them down with high pressure water to clean, and they are clean. Putting them in the washing machine would likely cause them to fail prematurely.

      I recommend FREEZING the bags after rinsing thoroughly with just cold water. No soap. Freezing kills bacteria as effectively and easier than cleaning as hot water.

    Vacuum blending might make the most nutritious juice but I'd prefer to use the Nama J2 for convenience. You might lose out on some nutrition and less yield but the Nama still makes a very nutritious juice. 😊

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  3 месяца назад +2

      Yes, the J2 makes a nutritious juice for sure, it is what I use because its easy. However, some people will "do what it takes" to make the highest yield and nutrition, so I want to show that to them so they have the option if they want.

    • @2711marcus

      Yes I understand John. 😊 I used to use the vacuum blending method but I then decided I preferred the ease of the Nama J2. I put the pulp of the Nama into the nut milk bag and managed to squeeze out another 150 ml of celery juice but it was oxidised sadly.

    John been watching your videos for years. When did your view on the vacuum juice blending become your number one juicing way . Even after you done the video with the vacuum craft that can fit on the Vitamixa few years ago You still was not making that point

      Started during the pandemic when I visited the Blendtec Factory in Utah, and I was exposed to vacuum juicing. I have many videos on vacuum juicing I have made since that time.
