    There is always a way to make money. Ive thought about opening a small specialty produce store in my town. Its one thing we need.

      Man, produce is tough! My store breaks even most months in produce... I use it a lot as a loss leader to get folks in the store though. Not trying to discourage you but it is tough, I would suggest offering other items that are higher margin with a longer shelf life too.

      @@upMETHOD We have a DG in our town that has canned goods and all that. What we dont have is a regular store that offers fresh produce or meats. Its a hassle to drive 20 min away for a bag of carrots. My plan is to get my greenhouse up and sell out of that.

And open races 1$ track days . I mean. Look . I have tons of stores that sells them. And always rotation. Man hotwheels always sold out. So . I'm thinking what can I do with what I know about that

    Unfortunately I'm not a young strong man like you. I'm a 64 year old disabled woman who's living in government housing. So if you make extra money you get screwed. This is how they keep the poor poor and it's awful! My mistake was marrying a snake. And I got the shaft after 30 years thinking he'd change. What an idiot I was. If I only knew when I was young and strong what I know now right? Hindsight is 20/20. But it's all water under the bridge now. God bless you and keep you safe and healthy. Take care of your body!

    My guess from the beginning was a Tennessee vibe. I could be wrong, but probably not!

    Hey Brian, storm shelters may not be in big demand in your area now, in March 2022. But Fall Out shelters and Faraday Cages may be on people’s minds nowadays ☢️⚡️🧲Especially since the escalation of Russia 🇷🇺 vs Ukraine 🇺🇦!

    I bet that finding labor in a small town is a walk in the park.

    Only thing I'll say about this is the chamber of commerce thing is 100% a scam.[ edit* I mean this for my local chambers.] I signed up for one and tried working with them and talking about stuff got less than nothing, a $150 bill for joining there dumpy club. That is something I would steer clear of probably focus more on the townhall or facebook groups.

    • @upMETHOD

      Every community is different. My mother-in-law is the president of a chamber of commerce and they do great work lobbying on behalf of local businesses in all things government related and they also offer MANY opportunities for local businesses to meet and work together. My local chamber is a little less involved in government lobbying on behalf of our businesses but they do offer a good number of networking opportunities. But just like everything else, chambers are run by humans and some do better jobs than others... sounds like your local chamber may not be worth the involvement but that doesn't make every chamber nation wide a scam.

      @@upMETHOD I wasn't meaning all I was more meaning mine was. I hear all these great things about how oh our community has a great chamber of commerce so I looked into mine seemed ok. Well after I joined the pulled a bait and switch. I can't really join other ones mainly due to distance and it not really being local. I would recommend trying to get a free month trial out of it before anyone joins to see how it really is. I wish mine was like yours but, its more of a boys club full of bars and salons nothing else.

    • @upMETHOD
      @upMETHOD  2 года назад +1

      @@agsalesalex That's good advice. You can always participate in some events before joining to see if it's a good fit... In fact (at least at mine) you don't have to be a member to participate in any of their events, you may just have to pay for entry. However, anyone can go to ribbon cutting for new businesses for free and honestly that's probably the best place to network and meet people anyway. I will also say though, that "boys club" is what you're trying to infiltrate, those are usually the movers and shakers but obviously don't sacrifice morals to be in the "in crowd". Every situation and community is different. Good luck to you.

      We've done very well for 7 years now... you have to know your market before you open a business, I did my homework and knew that my area could support my store.
