My guy, this video is gold because it teaches the 3 beat weave in a way that I don't see done in any other tutorial. The 3 beat weave is the last move in the video with the continuous strikes. The move is mostly associated with "poi" but of course it works great with chucks. When you look up tutorials for this move, you find people trying to explain it in such an unintuitive way where you're expected to keep the flow going continuously from the start even before you understand what's happening and how to position your hands. I guess that eventually works for some people but it always confused me. When I watched this video, it finally clicked because he broke it down to individual slashes that could be performed isolated from each other with time to stop and think between each slash. Once I was able to get the pattern down, I sped up the slashes more and more until it became a continuous flow. Thank you for this tutorial bro. If I may make a request, could you do a tutorial for the reverse 3 beat weave? It's the one where you do the same thing but with the chucks swinging in upward slashes instead of downward. Apparently, when you know both types, you can then do the slashes in one direction and turn 180 degrees to attack in the opposite direction without any break in flow and it looks so awesome.
Very nice to see how the mechanics are exactly the same to the use of the double sticks. Especially the warming drills you showed in your previous video a few days ago. Thank you!
I’ve been practicing with my foam kali sticks and thought what if I tried the double stroke with my nunchuks. Worked just like you said 😊 man I love this stuff.
That is awesome. I need to check/see how legal they are here. Used to use them in Karate but have not trained them in a while. Am just getting started in Kali and loving it.
@@Mysticalwarlock89 with the nunchucks work on the basics, trust me it will help a lot, once you get good with the basics like rebounds and different spins like the figure 8 either move on to the fun fancy tricks like wrist rolls or move on to learning how to strike properly with them, either use a heavy bag or a tree or whatever else you got to hit. I am not an expert whatsoever with escrima sticks so I have no advice for that
that's interesting..... I thought it was that because he's Chinese martial artist that it is natural for him to have learned it from his master. Also although I'm a Filipino I didn't know that nunchucku is part a of FMA weapon system. I'm not properly trained though.....
Unfortunately most people can't obatain authentic martial arts weapons like these in certain states or in the UK, because they're considered to be offensive weapons like firearms. I mean swords, knifes and guns I get, but weapons like Eskrima Sticks, Bow Staffs and Nunchucks can, (with training duh!) to be used in self-defense without causing permanant damage to people. I know it's risky but it will be worth it. Also I found out that tyou can only get an legit weapon of martial arts but getting a Martial Arts Licence if you want to start a buisness, teach or make money, then you're able to get an authentic weapon as long as you're only taking it to and from your place of work and training. I just wish there were other ways to get something like real nunchucks without getting into trouble for having them. Either way, as long a person is strong with their body's, minds and will's, then all the Eskrima Sticks, Bow Staffs and Nunchucks etc are just tools. You have to become the weapon as you are wielding such instruments of fighting disciplines. P.S Sorry for the long comment.

Are foam nunchucku considered so light for 30 years old strong guys or in his 30s ?! Thanksss
Tabok toyok is the true background behind bruce lee's nunchuck skills. Dan Inosanto taught him.

@@MrEmrys24 thanks for the positive response 😊
Can you do a video for beginners on nunchucks and kali escrima sticks
Search my channel for more stick and nunchucks videos. 👍🏻
Nunchaku vs. Stick: which is a better, more practical weapon?
Springfield Massachusetts kinda looks like escrima sticks flowing
Any chance you could make a balisong vid?
Search on RUclips “Kali Center Balisong” and videos will pop up. 👍🏻
