I've seen a similar throw in aikido; only the head is hooked with the left hand side of the stick, left leg steps behind. Their body parts are still being pushed in the same directions, but the limbs you use are different. Is this something that is found in kali as well?

Most definitely kali techniques can be applied to any weapon,empty hand or improvised weapon

I'm brand new here. So, if you tell me to pound sand, I understand. I drive a truck for a living. I don't think I could get away with real Kali sticks. Do you think you could take a look at truckers "Tire thumpers" and try a vid with those? I know it's a lot to ask from a noob.
We've actually trained with tire thumpers in the past! :)

Dissecting the corpse...that being said: the issue isn’t whether or not you “kill” someone, the issue is ARE YOU JUSTIFIED in doing so? Know your state’s laws on self defense (“stand your ground” laws etc), under stand that once you’ve disarmed your attacker, THE LAWS are different. Know your shit or know you’re shit.

Yes the person telling you that you cant do that legally is right especially in LA California were the thought is "equal force". If a guy hits you one time you cant put a knife and stab him or her! Everyone is responsible of their own actions, everyone that is trained in martial arts know better than to lose it and go full blast to win a fight. Thats why goood schools teach that discipline. Ex: rear naked choke, you don't keep the hold on very long before you commit murder, when the guys eyes have popped out and he's turning blue,.. release the hold...so,it's not the art that is illegal, it's the person committing the illegal act of killing someone that is illegal
