    Spanish who ruled long times in Philippines,they prohibited the Filipino Martial Arts because big percentage they failed their bad operation to the Filipino in the past if Filipinos use their Kind of martial arts the KALI . That's why Filipino Martial Arts is so Effective against bad guys. Thank you sir for your effort teaching this Filipino martial arts to us. God bless you

    And I usually Shield off the Angle 1 and come down with elbow control, then insert the stick on the opposite side of the neck from the get go. But lots of good angles and variations!

    Good stuff guys... having been a Philippine martial arts practitioner for the last 26 years... I would never grapple somebody with a stick... I would abaniko every part of the body that my stick could make contact with breaking everything that I hit... But I would never grapple somebody with my stick.

    You have to get close first and honestly to a trained Arnisador or Eskrimador it is not easy to get close like that.

    If BJJ is so cool, then why are they learning kali? This question is raised to those BJJ fanbois who looked down on Kali. Judo, and its derivative arts complements kali and vice versa.

    Dejame decirte que trabajo hace 15 años en la policia de USA y esas tecnicas se las tendria que hacer a un tipo dormido para que resultaran. Fake

    • @VTSifuSteve
      @VTSifuSteve 4 года назад

      ¿Lo dices porque estas técnicas son tan complicadas? En general, estoy de acuerdo, pero de hecho, he empleado algunas técnicas similares, aunque más sencillas, en el sparring con buenos resultados. Por ejemplo, mira al video desde 4:11 - 4:18. He usado una "cambiada" para hacer "crash-in" y acercarme, y después pude aplicar presión abajo contra la clavícula, seguido por un empuje fuerte contra el lado del cuello, tal como se ve en el video. De vez en cuando, hasta cumplí con un tiro así como demostrado. Más de esto, no pude. Y en la calle, ni pensarlo. Y es más, para Ud. como policía en estos tiempos de "I can't breath", no debería intentar nada de esos "chokes". Por lo menos aquí en EEUU.
