Thank you!!! Short sweet and to the point. No one dancin with one hand in the air, no one screaming like a Tard watchin wheel of fortune before they get into the video! You’re doin it right my man!
You got that SO right. Almost any and every video that's supposed to be informative has some clown tgat loves the sound of his own voice, silly music, pointless editing and just plain useless foolishness. This video was quick and to the point.
The only thing missing would be a physical demo of turning the dials. But due to the clear and simple explanation of every component my new Cobra 29 is working mint 🍻
I Loved these Cobra cbs, they had brought a lot of great memories and Good times throughout the 1990s. our Fridays and Saturday nights were never born, that's for sure. We used to drive up and down the strip on the weekends and just talked to a lot of people over the cb and on top of that met some interesting people too. However those days are long gone now. It's hard to believe that the 1990s went by so quick and now it's 2022.
Thanks for the info”but on my cobra classic ltd the (delta tune knob) has a function it filters the RF signal audio low/hi cut and it’s a very delicate change some people can’t even tell the difference specially while driving noise is present, maybe my cobra cb it’s different but I can tell some difference when I tweak it.
I just brought the cobra 29 Lx Max do I need to have it modified or is it good as it is, its new still in the box but a guy told me to make it better get it modified. Is this true and if so where would I send it, if in fact that is the case.
I see truckers wave at me on the interstate asking if I have a CB radio. I have this cobra29ltdclassica but I've never been able to talk or respond to anyone of them on the CB since I don't know which channel they're on. Is that the function of the CH9 nob?
Im new at this so if anyone can tell my why I would be getting an antenna red light I would appreciate it. I transmit and the red antenna light is coming on each time I key up.
Get your SWR set properly. Check coax connections for corrosion and then a tight fit. The red antenna light could be coming from those issues. Get a new coax and possibly a new antenna. Ultimately your SWR has to be set properly. The red antenna light is likely telling you that you have problems with your antenna somewhere . Best wishes. M.H.
Antennae needs to be adjusted (raise or lower). If it's adjustable tip (set screw) extend or lower in small increments. When calibrating, if CH 1 is higher than CH 40, antennae needs to be raised. If CH 40 is higher than CH 1, antennae needs to be lowered.
Even as a complete novice I have to call you out on saying "calibration knob has no effect on performance". This is literally used to calibrate the antenna "height" and direct efficiency of the broadcast... Tell me otherwise.
No, it's not. The SWR calibration knob is used to "zero" the SWR meter before you get the reading. The calibration knob does not change the electrical length of your antenna. If you stand on a weight scale and measure how much you weigh, does changing the alignment of the scale make you gain or lose weight? It's the same function here.
Edit:. I realize now that I didn't know what I'm talking about, thanks for the understanding. I figured they designed it to be electrically calibrated, but that would be too easy. Excited to get my radio online after having it for 5 years. Thanks for the video.

Thanks! Clear and concise! The other video the dude is all over the place, both with his camera and the topic at hand!
After your help tuning my radio My 1st custom 379 is now officially a RIG 🍻
Thank you for this video, it helped me trouble shoot what was wrong with our CB at work. The switch wasn't on CB.
Wow. I actually understood and learned a couple of things from this video. Thank you
Thank you! I drive a day cab and every week someone fucks with the settings on it for whatever reason. Was able to fix it thanks to the video.

Steven Foust now you need to watch a video to learn how to spell sir
Great Job! No bullshit crap. Straight to the point! Thank You!
Great video, this was very helpful
Thanks! Straight to the point, very informative.
My radio has a dot (.) after the channel number . Is that normal?
It means you have the new FM mode Cobra 29. You do not want the dot to show up. Push in your channel knob to switch back to AM mode.
@@walcottradio thank you so much! Will definitely buy again, hopefully not until I retire!

Can you use a noise canceling mic with this radio?
Thanks helped me out, alot!
Awesome video! Thank you
I heard that at least some 29LTDs scan channels. Is this true?
When I key the mic it goes through the speaker on the bottom why?
I would guess your radio has talkback and it is on.
Someone tell me if I'm wrong and why.
Beautiful man. Thx
I had one of these. Exact model.

Robert Sean you need your swr set antenna.

Robert Sean swr probably high.
@@MrBA812 Thank you brother.
@@mikehagan4320 thank you brother I will look into that. Got an swr meter recently
Only thing you didn’t mention is whether we should be using the FM or AM mode.
This video is 7 years old, FM was not a feature on CBs back then :)
If I’m getting a red light on RX/Tx and AnT how can I fix it?
Antennae needs to be adjusted (raise or lower). If it's adjustable tip (set screw) extend or lower in small increments. When calibrating, if CH 1 is higher than CH 40, antennae needs to be raised. If CH 40 is higher than CH 1, antennae needs to be lowered.
Excellent! Thank You.
Glad you enjoyed it!
How do you set FM Mode??
The video you're commenting on is the older style Cobra 29 LTD Classic that does not have FM.
Very informative
Perfect 💯💯💯
I’m having a problem in mine people can hear me but I can’t hear them
