Basically the main Fromsoft IP when they are used to be called "Mecha Game Company" like Metal Wolf Chaos before they transition to Souls Armored Core is a Mission styled Game where you just get money from.the highest bidder and build your mechs to your liking Its very easy trying to figure out which gameplay style suit your Mech Build, just remember losing Health and Wasting Ammo is not reccomended soo you have to learn the Boost mechanic really fast and its different in every Armored Core Generation In Gen 1 to Gen 3 you do Bunny hopping, in Gen 4 you do Chain Boosting, and in Gen 5 you do Wall Jumping Also Armored Core 6 is coming out this year
As a Machine Gun Enthusiast, yes silent line almost impossible for me (DEBT because of prolonged use of MG) if it not for the ARENA is easier than AC3 Arena
This right here is why I think one day we will invent mechs. Are they the most practical? No. But this is the sort of emotions they evoke in people. We'll make it work.
While FA and 4 with simpler, more intuitive control and fast gameplay makes for friendlier entries to the series, I also feel that FromSoft not including in the tutorial that holding down the trigger will vary boost level for hovering and not teaching player that quick boosting while turning only will execute a quick turn, let alone stage boosting makes it trickier than necessary for new players. Still, I have to admit that fun little mechanics like that as well as fine tuning the mech makes AC such a joy to play. Especially in PvP.

If you have a PC with a strong AMD iGPU (As far as we know), or some kind of dedicated GPU Head on over to the Armored Core Discord and get the 4thgen pack, or just FA if you know how to setup RPCS3 (Would save you many GB of data) The 4thgen pack has AC4 and ACFA already set up and ready to go in RPCS3 RPCS3 is a PS3 emulator Oh and the community has people maintaining a server that people connect to over radmin VPN to play multiplayer together over LAN on 4thgen They essentially pretend they are on the same network to play LAN matches together, COOP from FA does not work though, it's a different sort of thing sadly

Dark Souls was actually the Armored Core of dark fantasy games all along
Good ol' Armored Core, I remember usually opting for the Laser Rifles, Pulse Cannons, etc to avoid ammunition fees on missions
Also always going in for the melee whenever possible to save on bullets.

Armored core last raven teach me the value of a perfect run. When you want to get an S on 80 missions you truly lern to evade damage xD
Last Raven is a headache even knowing what to do, but that's the idea, it helped me a lot once I started playing AC4 and the nexts ones
