    "ball position is relative to the center of your body AND NOT your feet." this is a pretty good perspective changer when setting up to the ball. thanks for the info!

    Don't understand why people wear Hokas to golf. That guy looks visibly unstable on those max stack shoes. Not designed for lateral stability

    It is really interesting to watch your beautiful swing. It looks simple. Then you cut to a couple average golfers and I start seeing elbows moving and chopping at the ball. May be helpful to do this on purpose to show the other things that we are going to experience. You mention what to do and not do, but it is really cool to see an average golfer try do it. Love these videos. You are absolutely the best communicator/teacher on RUclips.

    Love your videos, and sorry for the unrelated comment, but do you preach hip bump in the driver set up as well? I have found the hip bump helps me tremendously with my irons but it feels slightly less natural with the driver.

    Nice , I have always set up with the ball center with my feet slightly apart.

    Thanks Adam! That really clears up my efforts around the green. I’m always debating ball position, to myself, before a make my chip to the pin.

    Appreciate your instruction, Adam - I think its the best on RUclips. One question - what club are you using for this shot?

    • @PorzakGolf
      @PorzakGolf  3 месяца назад

      We are using a 60 degree but for my weekend warriors out there, I would recommend using at 54 or 50 for the bump and run

    I've taken a couple lessons, and every coach says that RUclips instruction is what keeps them in business. Well, at least half of my breakthrough moments have come from RUclips, and the majority of those have come from this channel.

      Any of those guys saying that have never seen this channel. If they did, they'd get very quiet.

      @@billyd78 I'm sure it's part of the job to tell people that free online instruction is only going to hurt their game, and I'm also sure that there are tips and lessons on youtube that can send you down the wrong path. I have heard a club pro say that he does like this channel and Clay Ballard's channel. Some of the online tips that have really helped me were just random things from people I can't remember or don't know. I'd say if I had to give a short list of online coaches that have helped me it would be Adam and now Bryson. I like Manolo, Mark Crossfield, Cogorno, and Aimee Cho as well, but Porzak is definitely the channel I always watch when I see a new vid.

    Do you talk about lie, club selection and landing spot? Grip pressure? Using the bounce? I've been watching all of Dan Grieve's short game videos. I also purchased his 3 release book.

    This idea of no mens land seems counterintuitive. To me hitting standard (middle) trajectory seems the easiest because there is the least amount of manipulation needed. Ok the contrary, keeping it very low or very high does require special adjustment which could bring more inconsistency.

    • @PorzakGolf
      @PorzakGolf  3 месяца назад

      Anytime the ball is further back in the stance, it is easier to make better contact. That’s the whole point of this setup, the low ball flight is completely preset and not manipulated during the motion. When the ball gets on the ground sooner and runs out like a putt, it’s also easier to predict.

    • @dwboston1
      @dwboston1 3 месяца назад +1

      Pretty sure Phil Mickelson also advocates never having the ball in the middle of the stance for chipping. He moves it up for higher trajectory shots and back for lower ones, never in the middle.
