What a wonderful version. Grappelli has nothing on Elia and Hamilton is always great, but then Joan Manne is equal to it all on the piano. Once again, thank you Chamorro for putting together such a great group of musicians!

Without minimizing the obvious talent of Madame Bastida, Scott Hamilton is like a great Bordeaux, it gets better with age and delivers all its aroma with a delicious piece of Chamoro

There's a very romantic lyric for this and the melody is too, it adds to the experience to see it played by a talented and lovely young woman, and always a bonus to have a Scott Hamilton solo, thanks for posting it.

Sobrecogedor. Es la primera vez desde que comento estos videos en youtube que acabo literalmente con los ojos llenos de lágrimas. Y no es algo que me pase a menudo, todo lo contrario ... Pero lo que hacen Èlia, Scott y el maestro Munné con este bellísimo tema es pura magia, pura sensibilidad, puro sentimiento, puro corazón. Han sacado de mí emociones que creía perdidas hace mucho, mucho tiempo.
Solo puedo felicitarles y agradecerles este maravilloso regalo para los oídos y para el espíritu.

Es que no se puede tocar mejor, esta niña es un tesoro tocando el violín, de Scott Hamilton ya no digo nada, siemprer ha sido uno de mis saxo tenores favorito, el pianista, desconozco su nombre, es magnífico y Joan, me saco el sombrero por él, todas las formaciones que organiza de estos maravillosos músicos jóvenes son una delicia, yo por ser músico. pianista ya entrado en años aprecio en su justo valor la música que hacen esta gente. BRAVÍSIMO !!!
Hola Cosme. El pianista es Joan Monné, una autentica figura, hace años que está entre los 3 ó 4 mejores del jazz español. Y además es un excepcional arreglista, de hecho muchos de los temas que graba Chamorro llevan sus arreglos. Incluido este, creo. Saludos desde Madrid. 😉.

Elia---what style and groove! I really hope you will check out the great Florian Zabach from the 1950's. I enjoyed him on early television when I was a kid. He was the only jazz violinist I ever wanted to listen to until I discovered you and Sant Andreu. Whatever you want to play, I'll be listening and I hope someday to be in the same room when you do.
