Scott is just beautiful! He must have played this chart hundreds of times and yet it still sounds so fresh and new. Playing around Barcelona with this group has really brought him into a wonderful place. Been listening to you since 1977 when I was 17 and first heard you on the radio in the UK. Never stopped since. You have been a massive part of my life . ❤
Hamilton plays incredibly well. His phrasing is very fast without losing musicality. The reference to "Tangerine" is brilliant. They are all great musicians. Excellent performance. Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I saw him solo live back in '73 in Providence R.I. at a now defunct venue called the Living Room. One of my earliest exposures to improvisational jazz. So glad he is still performing, but have to admit it makes me feel very ancient!
I like to hear about Scott "back in the day", especially as it applies to his Rhode Island roots. I'm a tenor player from Eastern Connecticut...so I look at Scott as my "immensely more talented and swinging cousin"! 🎷🤓

The most swingingest tenor player out there today! Swing is in his blood!

One of the best tenor players ever. Wonderful creative sax solo filled with yeats of jazz conversation.
Totally agree. Scott was my biggest inspiration to start playing tenor. I guess someday I will be about .0001 percent as good as he is. haha

I was Scott's guitarist back then. Glad you enjoyed the show.
That was the Hamilton-Bates Blue Flames.
So much Jazz history in any one of his solo's...A swinging life!
When Joan and Scott get together good things happen. Thanks!

What a great sound. Thanks.
Admiro a S.Hamilton. Qué buen gusto y cuántos recursos e inspiración ❤
If you are going to pick a current tenor player to admire....he is certainly a top choice! 👍
Ohh 😮
That was a good workout, guys.
Cherokee
Looks like an old Link ToneMaster...sounds great
Too many external noises disturbing the concert. Part of the public has no respect for the musicians😢
