Well, looks like you found another #1 camping spot for sure!! Wow, I think its running neck & neck with Fun and Sun RV Resort, with maybe Isla Blanca Park, a nose ahead. Have you ever been here before, or was this your first visit? Wow, very nice! There are alot of prime spots there! I like the ones you pointed out closest to the beach access. But the others are super nice too. Love the fishing, of course ! I did not notice any "fire rings" at the sites, Im thinking, they are not allowed ? Nice wide beach area, and yes, alot of shells,(love that) I liked the concession area also. Its so sad that it couldnt be open. It looked very cool and breezy under the roof. A very nice place to come off of the hot beach, to have lunch !! Great find Lou, Melody, & Milo! I know for sure, I would enjoy staying there. I didnt think the rates were that bad at all. If you have a nice Camper, with all the standard comforts, $60 a night sure beats a $200 a night Hotel room!! (if they are that low) Super cool ! Thanks vicky ; )
Pre-retirement the $60 price tag per night would have been okay, but post retirement we substantially increased the number of nights spent in the RV. Generally, we obtain campsites for less than $30 per night and often free. Alas, with this location even at $60 it is worth the splurge if only for a short stay. Hope all is well in Maryland. Is there a shower house on site? I didn't see one listed on their website. I need to find a spot close to that before they open for reservations for 22'.
Closest free overnight parking I know of would actually be on Boca Chica Beach; see related video titled Free Beach Camping in Texas, also on my RUclips Channel. I avoid places like Walmart for overnight RV parking, so can’t help you there.
