Fantastic video! Thank you. Can you also do this technique on stretched canvas? If so, how do you treat the canvas?
Yes, I've done a video on it. Just a coat of paint on the canvas before using the ink.
Lisa your demonstration makes it look so easy. I know you have practiced and practiced, so that is what it will take for me also. Thank you for this demo. What paper do you recommend ?
Thank you, Linda! My favorite paper is the Grafix Art Plastic but it does warp if you use heat on it. The Nara paper is the one option that doesn't warp with heat and can be wiped clean without staining but is pricier.

Thank you, Patti! Yes, they dry almost as quickly as pure alcohol so you can finish your masterpiece in one day which helps with the instant gratification! lol!!!❤🙏❤

Thank you, Micaylah! I like to add white to the centers for a more 3-D dimensional look and yes, it takes a while when you're using white ink to dot in the black but you can also use acrylic pens to add the dots. No cells with alcohol inks!!!❤🙏❤

Can you accomplish the ghost look if you use water color paper? Black paper with white paint and alcohol. Would the texture work?
Thank you, Sheri! I think the watercolor paper might be too absorbent to work with inks but haven't tried it so that's just a guess. I'd think the smoother, hot pressed paper would be the better choice if either were to work.
😮 ❤ THIS! Now, can you use a regular stretched canvas with this technique or does it has to be an absorbable material?
I've made ink flowers on canvas but it helps to coat the canvas with a coat of paint first.

This video is using alcohol inks only- no acrylic paint. The paper underneath is a plastic, craft paper. It may be difficult to find alcohol inks but the alcohol used to dilute the colors is probably standard everywhere.

I have a bunch of alcohol inks and some 99 or 91 alcohol do you have a mixing tutorial as far as do you just put the ink straight out of the bottle on top of the alcohol? Maybe you said it and I missed it. Thanks I had a Time looked beautiful.

Hi Jennifer! Are you using Snowcap? Is it possible it has dried out a little bit? Try mixing it in a needle nose bottle with half Snowcap and half alcohol to thin it out.
