This is so beautiful. You have truly mastered this difficult medium. So many people on You Tube just push the paint around and hope for something to look good. I know how hard it is to work with alcohol ink but you make it look effortless. I love this painting. Paint safely.
This is so fantastic it takes my breath away! I love that you take control of this difficult medium to craft, form, "carve," and otherwise build this beautiful image by mastering the composition and the wondrous effects of soft edge and hard edge achievable with alcohol inks. Way to go!
Hi Shirley, I wanted to share how much i love your work and the amazing pieces that you have made. I have a question regarding this piece, how do you keep control of ink to go back to the designated point that you have here. I have a reimington 1000w hand dryer that is like the revlon that I ordered from the UK (lol I know I know, I took extreme measures and bought a dryer from out of the country), I thought it would be low enough wattage to help control the ink. Are you using your dryer on the cool setting or the heat? I have also tried with my air brush machine and have been able to get the lines as so, but still struggle with getting the ink to go into the composition space that I want it! 😔😩I know you’ve done this piece over a yr ago, but I still watch your videos after I’ve fallen off of my game with my art and need to relearn the hand muscle memory to control the inks again. Will you consider making more videos for us to watch or is there a different platform that you share videos on now? Thank you again for all of your expertise that you have been willing to share with us! ❤
WOW and WOW!!! Beautiful you are so so talented and inspiring! Don’t think I could do anything like this I’m just new!😂😂 Magic is what you do so well. 🥰🥰😍❤️❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🇬🇧🐶🐶
Would you please advise your audience about the dangers of the alcohol fumes and what they need to do about wearing a mask with correct filters and open windows. I got immune to the fumes sometime ago and now have memory problems. I was not aware about the fumes and all of a sudden,it was too late. Thanks Angie
Just when you think it can’t get any better you rearrange something and it DOES get better. Thank you so much for this video. It’s absolutely beautiful. 🥰
I seen Copics at the beginning, did you use them somewhere? Also when you were doing the dots, were you using alcohol on the brush, or white paint? This is the first video I have watched of yours, can I say WOW!!!
I just found your video and within a minute subscribed to your channel. This piece is simply stunning… 😍 I just started alcohol ink and and fell in love with this form of art. I think it’s gone be a long journey I have one question: do you varnish it once finished, if so with what product?
Just love your way to move inks! I can't find the model of this revlon hair dryer here in my country. Would you please write down a link to buy it? Thanks a lot!
The model is RV444CF - actually, any hair dryer will do. Just make sure it is low wattage to make it easier. Mine is 500 watt, one even lower, like a travel dryer would work well for starting out.
Thanks so much Jenni - the composition did indeed change more than a couple of times 😜. That is one of the joys of alcohol ink, if it doesn’t go or turn out how you want, add some more alcohol and move it some more. I often have an idea in mind when I start a painting and it morphs as I go along.
Thanks Bobby. I find when I am watching videos I generally turn the music down myself and do lots of forwarding and rewinding so I assume others do the same. I have music on a few of my videos and have comments both ways. I guess if I add music and people don’t like it they can always turn it down ☺
Wow, that is stunning!!!!

Thank you so much for your kind words Patsy. Things don’t always turn out, but it is so much fun to try 👏
It is amazing how much control you have putting the ink where you want it. This is beautiful.
Thank you so much ☺️
Absolutely beautiful❤

Thank you ☺ I use Nara synthetic papr, but any synthetic paper works.
Like magic!!!
Very helpful! TY!
Beautiful , thank you for the demo. So interesting How did you get such a small tip on the hair dryer? Did you modify it yourself? Lovely.
Thank you. The hair dryer has attachments that I just don’t use.

Thanks for the suggestion Angie. I will include this in future videos.

Ah, thank you so much Maureen 🥰

Thank you so much ☺. The copic colour I used in this is cardinal, the others are Ranger inks. For the dots, I was using alcohol on a small brush.
Thank you.

Thank you so much ☺ It is addictive and takes lots of practice. Have fun 👏👏

@@shirleywhite6621 thank you so much! So kind of you! Hugs from Tarragona, Spain.
Hi Shirley. Just found your site which I absolutely love … would it be possible to let me know which Revlon hairdryer you use.
The model is rv444cf
Bravo!
Thank you ☺️
Really beautiful! How many watts this hairdryer has?
Thank you so much. The dryer I use is 500watts.
This is so very, very beautiful!! ❤
Did the composition change a couple of times accidentally or was everything you did, deliberate?
Thanks so much Jenni - the composition did indeed change more than a couple of times 😜. That is one of the joys of alcohol ink, if it doesn’t go or turn out how you want, add some more alcohol and move it some more. I often have an idea in mind when I start a painting and it morphs as I go along.
Can you please send the link for hair dryer.i am struggling al lot for a good cold dryer.
Is your dryer on high or low?
It is always on low ☺️
Very beautiful 💕💕✨🤍✨💕✨✨
Thank you so much ☺️
magnifique résultat !! mais je ne comprend pas votre technique désolée
What type of dryer do you use
It is a revlon 500 hair curling brush - it comes with different attachments but they all went in the trash ☺️
P.S. Can I suggest sme music or something while watching :)
Thanks Bobby. I find when I am watching videos I generally turn the music down myself and do lots of forwarding and rewinding so I assume others do the same. I have music on a few of my videos and have comments both ways. I guess if I add music and people don’t like it they can always turn it down ☺
