Excellent tutorial! I’ve learned more from this than from watching several others combined. I love how you explain exactly how to direct the hairdryer.
For what it's worth: I was able to get total control of my air flow simply by attaching a simple dimmer switch to control the hair dryer. Any brand no matter how powerful. It doesn't matter. I also attached a flexible hose and just hold the end of the hose. You can put the hair dryer off to the side without holding it at all and just use the flexible hose. Much, much easier! I use one in each hand and move the ink in ways just one hand cannot do. I was able to explore areas of creativity I previously could not.
This was incredibly helpful. As a beginner, I've been having a lot of trouble maintaining control over the ink with air, and this video helped save me so much time, effort and even money. Thank you!
Thank you for such informative videos! I started alcohol ink a month ago despite never doing art before and just came across your channel yesterday (video 30, lines and ripples) and this is now the 6th video of yours that I have watched and I have learnt so much - you are the best RUclipsr out there for beginners! Thanks for taking the time to help us and for recognising what things we need to learn.
Yes.....i ran out an bought a new 1000w hairdryer, then regretted it coz the ink wasn't doing what it should do😂😂. Thanks for the tough love! Thank you for a super useful video. Now I will try again....and, yes, I'll try to be patient 😅. But...I really want to create a masterpiece now😂😅
😂😂😂 That made me laugh! You're absolutely right, the problem is me! 😂 Great tutorial, as usual Randi, much needed, and very much appreciated! All I need to do now is follow your instructions 🤔 Thank you, for your unique and direct approach. 🤩
I have earned so much from you, Randi - mostly to just go slow and do my thing. We are our own worst critics and you've taught me to just chill, learn and enjoy the experience. Thank you so much, talented lady!
You’re welcome ☺️ that is my best advice, be patient and take your time. “Just chill”….. that’s a good one. Can I steal that? 🤣 really want to say that next time I talk about slowing down
Thank you for your straightforward advise. You tell your audience what we need to hear and not the sugar coated “watch the next video”, bait bs. I’ve subscribed. Enjoy your summer!! 😊
And another huge thank you! I have watched so many videos and even purchased the Revlon dryer but no one ever explained how to truly use it. And I agree with so many others here that this was one of the most helpful videos I have seen.
You are very welcome 🙏 and your comment makes me sooo happy 😃 when I first started I didn’t know how to use the dryer either so I thought and hoped this video would be helpful to newbies
Wow!!! Today, I trialled with hairdryer and was losing my mind until I stumbled on this video. It us amazing because I was going to go out and buy another haidryer!! You're amazing. Thank you for kindly sharing your tips
OMG I just started today and I laughed so much because I was doing all the not "to do" and I was going to invest on another hairdryer hahahaha I love so much your channel! Thankyou
What works for me very well is to use flexible ducting or hose attached to the dryer. I just mount the dryer somewhere off or under the table and just guide the hose wherever you want it. Weighs next to nothing. You don't have to listen to all that noise. The hose flips out of the way the moment you let it go and you can control "too powerful" dryers very easily.
@@randihart5731 That's a good way to look at it. You can pinch off the end for a narrow stream of air or as wide as the dryer (about an inch or so ). You can have one in each hand at the same time and really move the ink in ways you couldn't do with just one hand.
Thanks so much for the clear concise explanation of how to control the ink. It was VERY helpful and I can't wait to give it a try. I enjoy watching your videos and you do beautiful and inspiring work!
ROFL Yup ... it's *definitely* me !!! Thank you so much from stopping me going on a mad hairdryer shopping spree or tossing my inks into the back of the cupboard in dispair - you have rejuvenated my inspiration to keep trying _using your very helpful advice_ 😋🙆♀️
Thank you SO much for taking the time to show us how to use the dryer with the inks. I admit my problem has definitely been me!! Can’t wait to try again now
Yes this was very helpful. Although I’ve been working with alcohol inks for close to three years, your video serves as a reminder for me to slow down 🤗♥️ …. Thankyou for your wonderful videos. You are my favorite♥️
I’ve just started using alcohol inks and am I glad I found you! Every question that pops up you have a video for it. Not only is there a video…but you explain everything so well. As soon as I watch one, I have to try it out. The difference is amazing. I’m loving it. Thank you so much for giving your time and expertise, it’s very much appreciated. 😊🙏🏼🍀💕
I’m so happy you you find all the videos helpful and you are very welcome 💕💕 I try to make videos with all the things I wanted to know and learn when I was new to ink 😊 if you have any ideas/topics for new videos please let me know 🙏👍💕
I’m new to alcohol inks but I’m so excited to try….so far it’s all been a bust but I keep watching tutorials and trying again and again. Hopefully one day my work will be almost as good as yours ❤
Thank you very much for this video. I was about to give up with the beautiful alcohol ink painting. You hit it on the nail just like I started. My alcohol and ink went everywhere and nothing. Thanks again ,thumbs up and I absolutely subscribe 💕
Thank you for those very helpful tips! I am a writer, a creative writing teacher, here in India, but I also love to paint! (All part of the creative process!😊) I enjoy working with alcohol inks and I love painting landscapes. I would love to share with you some of my work, perhaps through email. Thank you again. 🙏🏼
Your videos are absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much! I'm slowly working my way through them and they're just fantastic. You're such a good teacher and you break it down so well.
Just found you! Just starting! Messing around today, I did EVERYTHING wrong! However, watching your video( and. Ordering the dryer), has given me renewed excitement to try again! Thank you, sincerely, Christine Thomas.
That was super informative & helpful. I am the finger queen lol. So I’m very pleased to get some helpful advice on how to keep my fingers inside the lines! Thank you 😊
Hej Randi. Tak for nogle enestående tips.
I just found your video and subscribed. I’m not sure if you are still doing them, however, I did want to tell you that this video helped me a great deal with the problem I was having… I was definitely holding my hairdryer incorrectly. So thank you for tough love, as you called it.😀
You are very welcome 😄😂 so glad you found it helpful. Been so busy, haven’t made any tutorials in a long time 😢 but I hope to start making some more videos again soon ☺️
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. This was very helpful. I now might dare to try alcohol ink my self. I always thought it to bee too difficult. 🤗😃
Thanks for the tough love🤣 this was one of the most helpful videos I’ve seen! Thank you!!
LOL you are very very welcome 🤗 🤣😁

I’m in agreement with you‼️

You are very welcome 🤗
This was the first video i have watched that really made me understand how to make the ink move and how to use a hair dryer properly. Thank you

Very smart 👍😀
But how do you attach the hose to the hair dryer? No matter how small the opening the hose will still be a lot narrower.?
Soooo helpful ..... love the tough love !!! I am one of the people who bought a more powerful dryer 🙂
Tough love is what I’m here for 🤣🤣 glad you liked it
