I would think the hairdryer was on a cold setting as Alcohol is flammable. The best place to buy a large bottle of alcohol would be from a Hardware store I imagine.
You said, "If you have additional questions, write in the comments, I will definitely answer" but i see viewers asked questions many months ago that are still unanswered. I was gonna ask one, but it looks like that'd be a waste of time. What gives? In case this does prompt you to follow through with answers, my ? is: hair dryer on just air & no heat, or low heat, or high heat: what did you use/what do you suggest? Thanks.
I’m not the artist in the video but I can answer your questions. Using the least amount of heat possible is necessary as the heat causes the alcohol to evaporate more quickly. In order to achieve this sort of effect you need a lot of alcohol to move around. A tool that outputs a “cool” setting with lower wattage so the air flow is not heavy, causing all that liquid to blast off the canvas, is ideal. I hope this is helpful, and sorry for butting in.
Wow beatifull, I ask you a question on canvas. Do you print it with geso, or do you put white paint on it, or do you work directly on the canvas with inks, thanks.
Never use water with alcohol ink as it will break down the binders in the pigment. Here is a link to give you more detailed info on prepping your canvas for alcohol ink. I hope this helps 😊 ruclips.net/video/y06iosoy_Lg/видео.html
@@nlm8487 thank you so much for the tips. I have never tried ink before, just acrylic pour. But my brother wants a picture with ink, so then I went along and bought some 😃
It's *_canvas!_* Canvas is a material; it's not paper. It's cotton - or sometimes linen - generally coated in gesso by the manufacturer. Every art and craft shop in existence sells canvases. Museums and galleries the world over have millions of canvases hanging in them. Every homeware shop from the most expensive to the most basic will have canvases for sale. Most homes will have at least one canvas on their wall. I'm not entirely sure how the existence of canvas has passed you by your entire life!
Am not an expert by any means ..I've so far only worked on yupo/plastic but if your ink is drying too quickly then your dryer is either too hot or too strong (in the wattage). I watched a heap of YT videos on alc inks and then checked in their description boxes for a link to the dryer they were using. I've been struggling with the dryer I had but am now waiting on a 300w dryer I saw Tiffany Solario using. Look at some tutorials you really like...maybe ask some questions...good luck xx ruclips.net/video/P-9wIRrL-Yo/видео.html
There is no way that it was water in the glass. Water should never be used with alcohol ink as it would breakdown the binders in the pigment. I would guess it could either be alcohol ink blending solution which can be purchased online or at your local craft store like Michaels, Hobby Lobby -or- it could be just the 99% isopropyl alcohol. Using blending solution will give you more working time where using isopropyl alcohol your working time is much less because alcohol evaporates quickly. The blending solution is not very cheap and by the amount that was in the glass it seems like it was almost the entire bottle and if this is real time in completing this pretty canvas I would guess isopropyl alcohol, but I could be wrong. Either one you where to choose you cannot go wrong. I hope this helps! 😊
@marilynisaacs7739 Thought I’d share even tho this comment is old- If you use regular canvases like that they sell everywhere, they’re usually already primed and I’ve worked on them just fine with no extra steps to prep the canvas and the inks were fluid and moved great.
What varnish did you use to cover the canvas? Can one use watercolor canvases? I know the varnish would change the porous surface of the canvas, but there are various varnish in the market.
@@brunateixeira2552 , I think it’s impossible, because alcohol inks can be used as dyes for epoxy resin and, accordingly, the drawing may dissolve. Check to see if your ink mixes with the resin or read the instructions.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge ❤🎉
Absolutely stunning! You make it look so easy.
I love your Innovative process. Beautiful artwork.👌‼️❤️ Thanks. TOOM@CapeTown

Beautiful! 😊
Brilliant talent 👍👏💯🆗👌
This is so perfect!😄 Thanks for the vedio.
Stunning!
My question would be, when do u know when to stop blowing on the paint?
Wow it looks so cool 😍
Beautiful work. Do you first prep your canvas with white pouring acrylic at all??
I like your idea and technique. Could you please name the gold ink?
Beautiful!! Can you suggest.. If we use modeling paste as base will the alcohol ink move fine on it??
Do you seal it when it’s complete!
Awesome ✨
Amazing !
Did you use water
Thank you for sharing this ~ 🌷
Thank you, very inspiring
Can you please share where you buy alcohol in such volume in Australia.. and also - was the hairdryer hot or cold? Thanks in advance

Hair dryer was on low cold setting.....don't use it on high speed as ink may get dry before spreading
I’ll find out where my granddaughter got her bulk alcohol and let you know.
Bunnings. You will find it behind the paint counter, just ask.
Beautiful 😍
This is real skill. Excellent video! Thx for sharing it.
Dear would you please name all the product??
Specially what you have mixed with the alcohol ink. I mean the clear one! It that water or alcohol
Do u only use alcohol mixed with ink- or do I add water??? Just seems like a lot of alcohol

What kind of varnish did you use?
Do you prime your canvas first?
Thank you❤
What clear liquid are you using?
Question. Does this work on canvas that has been coated with gesso? Thanks
Yes it does
what kind of layers varnish did you use to insulate the canvas, I'm interested because I want to try something... to experiment...thank you very much
What colors are this , specially the gold its already mixed with alcohol? Thank youuu
What is the gold you're using?
That is gorgeous. Was this video sped up at all?

Do not use gesso. It is to porous to use. Here is another tutorial that may be more helpful for you. ruclips.net/video/y06iosoy_Lg/видео.html
When mixing what ratio ink & alcohol do you use? Will Dr. Bombay India Ink work for this project?
Thank you.
Can i use alcoholic color with white acrylic colors? Will it work? Any ideas?
Is there a reason why you used matte versus glossy varnish? I wanted to try alcohol inks on canvas but curious if matte or glossy varnish matters
I think maybe it has something to do with the texture of matte. It gives the ink something to grab onto.
So beautiful 😍 going to try inc. But do you mix it with water? And do you have something on the canvas first!

How long will it take for the pictures to dry?
Is the gold colour you are adding as you go also alcohol ink or is it pouring acrylic
That's alcohol ink as well. I'm holding a bottle of gold right now😅 trying to learn more.
Just learning, what is stuff in small bottle

Is your dryer set on hot? Use cold setting. What paper are you using? Your paper can’t be porous or it will stain and not move freely.

This was so very beautiful and relaxing. Great video, wonderful music...new subscriber for sure. Thank you!
I'm just starting with alcohol inks - fascinated by working on canvas. It looks like you stretch your own - what do you prime it with?
It specifically needs to be coated with Killz 2....3 coats minimum & you'll be good to go♡
