Hi Amanda, it's absolutely gorgeous. I love the colours, and the composition, it looks amazing. I didn't realise you could use alcohol ink in acrylic paint, when working with alcohol ink do you have to wear a mask? Thank you so much for sharing your time, talent, and your creativity with us. Looking forward to your next video, kind regards Pamela 😘❤
Thank you Pamela! I did not wear a mask in this one because I'm only using a tiny amount but with some larger alcohol ink pieces that I am doing lately I am wearing a mask because the fumes really get to me.
You're very welcome, thank you so much for getting back to me. I have a lot of alcohol inks that I haven't used yet. Because I wasn't sure if I needed to use a mask, and now that I have seen your videos where you've applied it to acrylic paint. I will be using them that way, I love the end results of your paintings. Have a wonderful day, and happy painting Amanda 😘❤
Hi Amanda this is great I’m now working with Acrylic Paint on glass with alcohol ink.. would I need to seal this with resin and or can I use a clear acrylic non yellowing spray. I love these colors
This is beautiful! I am new at pours. What brand of paint do you use and did you add anything to them? You had 2 different silvers. 1 was the alcohol Ink. What was the other? Which one did the wonderful blooming effect in the beginning? Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! I use a ton of different brands of paint, any type of acrylics will work. I use pouring medium and water to thin them down. The other silver was a mehron makeup mica pigment. I believe it was the silver alcohol ink that bloomed out more.
Alcohol inks give a sorta of "coral" effect when I dot them in a pour painting. So cool!! You can also drop alcohol straight onto the pour paint and get a similar effect.
This is so beautiful and fun. I’m an art teacher for middle school and this would be fun to do with them during their space unit . Could see them using this technique to create paper for planets or something similar. Thank you for inspiring me
An excellent substrate for your students would be old cd's. I did a pouring project with my after school kids with donated cd's. Parents are thrilled to get rid of them!
Hi Amada, this is gorgeous and I didn't know we could use alcohol inks on the pouring paintings. Just wondering what did you use or add in the first silver that grows snow flake stems? What pigment or brand is that silver? Thanks for sharing and I look forward to watching your next videos. Sharon
Do you like the silver alcohol ink that I added?
pro tip: you can watch series on flixzone. Been using them for watching all kinds of movies recently.

I like resin but I thunk any varnish spray would work just fine too.

Thank you :)))
Absolutely Beautiful! You said you used make up to make the dendrite affect. I assume that was some sort of mica. Was it and how was it mixed?
Yes it was a mica powder and I mixed it with my pouring medium.
So happy I found your channel & subscribed I love to work with A.I.
Do you treat the wood with a clear coat of clear acrylic finish ? Stunning
Thank you! For finishing the painting, I normally use resin.

Thanks for the suggestion! I had some ideas to try out dropping alcohol onto a piece. I'll have to try it out and see what I can create!

Thank you! I a using Mehron makeup in silver: amzn.to/3AJXLKg
I was wondering the same! Was that just the makeup itself, or did you mix that with water or an acrylic pouring medium? Great results, either way!
Was the silver you added first an acrylic or alcohol ink?
Silver mica.
Not good video. You don't say when you adding what. No idea when you used mica (as you say in comments) and no idea when alcohol ink.
How long does it take to dry inside? Do u spray a sealant on it? Do you put a base on the wood slab?
I do not put a base on the wood. This takes a couple of days to dry.
Awsome. Did you mix alcohol ink with acrylic and pour it or Just alcool ?
I mixed it with some alcohol and then poured it.
Hi Amanda, can you tell me please what ratio of airbrush medium, water and paint do you use? Thanks!
For this I use a ton of airbrush medium, like 89 parts medium to 1 part paint. I only add a small amount of water.
Absolutely gorgeous awesome work this is my favourite I love your work so much 😍😍😍😍😍😘😘😙😘😘😚😘😘😘😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤❤❤💖💕💕💕💟💓💞💟💕💟💟💞💝💜💛💛💚💗💗👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much 😀
what did you do to thin your acrylic paint? did you use flotrol, alcohol, or ..??
Most of the time I use floetrol and water. If I want things really thin, I use airbrush medium.
What is makeup paint? The first silver color consist of what to make large dendrites?
It is a powdered makeup from Mehron.
Do you use any pouring medium or just water in your paints?
Airbrush medium which is really thin along with water.
Do you mix the ink with a
Pouring medium or just alcohol
I mixed everything with pouring medium.
What is mixed with the acrylic prior to pouring that thins it out?
I use pouring medium and water to thin them down.
At first..what did you pour?? Acrylic or ink???
Acrylics!
I never quite fetched what parts was acrylic paint ?
The blue and white that I have thinned down is all acrylic paint.
How do you keep the wood from warping?
I use 1/4 inch thick pieces and those don't warp for me. Something like 1/8 inch is too thin.
how does the alcohol ink react to water paint?
What kind of alcohol ink silver are you using?
I am using Ranger Ink. It almost reacts like oil and water; the alcohol repels the paint slightly.
What materials do you use?
I am using acrylic paints and also some alcohol inks for a mixed media technique.
No preparas la madera?
No I just paint right on it.
Beautiful
This is gorgeous!!
Thank you!
