I was glad to see you leave some unswiped areas. It makes the painting so much more interesting than just a canvas of swipes and opens up so much potential for experimentation. Thank you for your videos.
In the central part of the painting I saw an abstract mother holding her child. It is always a great feeling to see these beautiful images appear in front of you. That is the very zest of the art style of abstraction art form!❤
Quite an amazing result after you turned it around, In both 2nd and third perspective of the final result. 2nd, shaped and human being lying down. 3rd perspective, the middle shape, someone diving downward. Very etheric. Beautiful, beautiful vision. Thank you. 🌀🦋💃
I loved the first bit before the swipes and wondered what that would look like spead out tilting.... and after your first swipe oh no that looked to me like a muckle big slug especially at the grey dark end , but my goodness two more swipes and a few more swirls.........just awesome 😮 so beautiful 😍. THEN I saw it dried OMG!!!! I'm speechless so so beautiful I don't have the vocabulary to describe how much I loved the whole look😮😍. What a talented lady you are ❤ love n hugs from Scotland ❤❤❤❤
Just my opinion, but it was so much prettier when u poured, swirled, and stopped. No spreading it. Those rich colors would be beautiful for fall just like they were.
I loved it in all stages! I would’ve loved to hang it on my wall when she just poured it and stopped (do nothing else). I would’ve loved it at the stage you described and I also am loving the end result! Those colors together make every stage gorgeous!!
Absolutely gorgeous. I am a novice and I can't wait to try this. I'm in love with it and I actually love watching how calm and slow and Quiet your video was Yes it is perfect. Again, I'm mesmerized by it.
I see a lady in the middle part! Beautiful! That’s the first time I have watched this “swiping” and wasn’t too sure when I first saw the swipes going on. Thank you for sharing💕
I really liked the lacing with the metallics, try adding a bit of black metallic in the next one, I think it will deepen the contrast. Beautiful piece! I can’t wait to try one at my studio!
Wasn't sure about the swiping but it looks amazing I might try this myself for a unusual picture for my wall in my colours as I can't find anything that's quite right thanks for the tutorial ❤
yes, I also miss the depth of a dark color. The two parts are nice, but somehow they don't fit together. If I think about the middle ones and imagine them more dark, it gets better. Or the middle parts remain and are made larger. But the colors are really beautiful and people love them.
I have to say I did not think much of what you were doing at first. I'm glad I stayed till the end. The outcome is beautiful. I subscribed, looking forward watching more.
This is so beautiful and looks peaceful. I can see an abstract person lying in the centre. With the different colours it feels like a beach area when is just coming back in. For me the different colours represent colours of sand beneath the water. Thank you
Oh my goodness...I am impressed! I am NOT a great fan of pour painting, not thinking it much of an 'art' form as too many people simply dump paint on canvases and wait to see what gravity does with it. What special skill is the "artist" applying? But YOU! I have been an artist for 30 yrs now, have owned two art galleries in my career, and was impressed watching your very deliberate, careful, and skilled paint application with the touch of every and all your tools, including your brush. You controlled your canvas, as much as any artist can. LOL My very best work was only as good as it was by chance, "happy accidents". I have an eager protege interested in trying her hand at pour painting. I have been holding her off, steering her toward other projects, other practices, but NOW...NOW I am going to send her this video and a box of paints I just happen to have that are the same set of fluid metallics you used in this Acrylic Pour Swipe - isn't that cool?!! Synchronicity of the highest order, I say! - and tell her to "have at 'er...but pay attention, work slowly, deliberately, carefully, skillfully, and control your canvas sweetheart: "You're here to MAKE a work of art...not to be a SPECTATOR while the art makes ITSELF!!!" Blessings to you, Fiona, with gratitude...Steph in Dundas, Ontario...
Thank you so much for your lovely message Steph 😊 She may find there is a lot more to it than she first thought. As I certainly did. There are lots of wonderful things to learn on an acrylic pour journey, but it's also wonderful to experiment with other mediums. You never know where it might take you! Thank you again. Your message really touched me 😊
This is just so beautiful. I think I would die of joy if I could make something that vividly captivating. Do you have a video where you explain the basics for someone who is interested in following along with a video like this but has never done anything like this? Like a video where you describe the tools you used (the canvas, the specific painting knives, the torch, the protective paper you are using underneath the canvass, the stand it seems you perhaps have the canvass on) and what that white "paint" is you put on the knife? Or things like how much pressure you are applying to the knife, how you are using the torch (distance, time, what to look for), etc. I'm also not sure what a "pouring medium" is. I also wondered if the paints you listed above (the mont marte metallic set) is just exactly what was in the cups or if you created some kind of mixture in the cups? Or what the nuance you were describing at the end of what you had been experimenting with. I totally understand every video is not made for beginners but I loved your work and wondered if you had a "for beginners" video?
Thank you 😊. No I don't have anything quite that in-depth yet. I do have a video on how I mix my paints for this technique. Link is in the description.
Very pretty, Fiona! I've seen your pours off and on and really enjoy them as well. Swipes are by far my favorite and this gave me some really great inspiration! Great job!
I TOTALLY LOVE THIS PAINTING, WITH ITS CELLS, COLORS, AND THAT CENTER AREA ON IT, MAKES MY IMAGINATION WORK IN ALL DIRECTIONS THAT YOU PLACE IT. I LOVE CELLS!!!!
Absolutely beautiful ! I see an outline of a woman (person) kneeling. She’s in the middle, white. I love finding the shapes of people, animals, objects, etc... in the clouds, or on tiles. Your art is brilliant, and so inspiring. 🎨❤️
To me, it looks like a woman, not an infant, but like a woman in the womb. Maybe not a human womb. Maybe like a butterfly womb. I don’t know, but I love it.
Since it says for beginners can you please tell what that was you covered the back of that thing (which you didn't tell us beginners what that tool is called) with before you spread. Ijs Some of us beggingers are actually that and we need details.
I agree more squiggles and less of the other . I feel that overwhelmed the beauty of the base you laid down although the spreading effect is beautiful....better kept minimal
That sounds amazing. I have some colourshift pigments that I haven't tried in Acrylic Pouring. I have wondered if they would work. I'll experiment with them at some point😉. Have fun 😊
Nice But! You did not tell us what the white was that you put on your pallet knife. And you did not tell us what you used as a base paint for your painting to slide on for the tilting ad sliding. And for tilting and sliding you did not tell us, or show us, how thick or thin your paint mixture was or what you used to add, such as water or other medium to achieve the paint to flow well when tilting.
Fiona does a video on here which tells you what paints she uses and how she mixes them . I’ve been watching her for years and I’ve tried her methods . It’s not as easy as she makes it look and you need to adjust your paint mixes depending on ambient temperature .
@@cutechiangels no , it was a mixture of acrylic paint and something that I didn’t write down tbh and water to thin it to a pouring consistency - If you watch her video about how she mixes her colour , all will be revealed . If you search RUclips for mixing fluid paint colours , I’m sure lots of people are doing it and it depends on where you live as to what this medium is called . I’m sorry but that’s all I can give you . I’ve never tried this technique but it looks fun if rather messy .

Those colors are fabulous. Im definitely going to try this. There are so many options on how to pour tilt and swipe. This turned out great. I think it would have looked amazing no matter how you did it. I really love the outcome
Very good, it's something very different and l like it. I could imagine it on the wall with some of the colours picked out in furniture to team in. Imagine? How glorious!
I think the swipes are absolutely beautiful! The color combination is amazing!!! You seem to hard on yourself. This is the first video I’ve seen of yours and I’m already hooked!

Does this require any finishing on top, like epoxy or anything? Also, how long does it take to dry?
