I like both for different purposes. The floetrol mix has an interesting image as it is. The water mix I would be inclined to use as a backdrop for a clock or a quote, it has a more ethereal feel.
Great comparison! In this instance, I actually like the water one, but I tend to prefer pouring with Floetrol because it's hard to get good results every time with water.

First, I love the way you filmed this! I have never tried water only, but I will now. I use Flotrol some, but I really like a glue/water mix because I like the finish. Of these two of yours, I would pick the water.
@@entelakusi-kauffmann9038 never used Elmers glue as it hasn't been on the GB market long and costs a lot more than domestic brands. Woodworking quality pva is still fairly cheap but thicker and stronger as a glue than school craft pva and I find that works in similar proportions as recommended for floetrol.
I actually like them both... for different reasons. The water only - doesn't have as many cells, and the colors aren't as vibrant, however, the colors blended together to form new colors, which gives the painting a more ethereal, dreamlike look, which I love. The floetrol colors have more cells, which if you like that kind of look, it sparks more interest. But what pulls me into the second one is the colors. There is a little blending of colors there, not as much, but the colors are more vibrant, more alive to me which I also love. There's also a bolder distinction between the colors. I don't have a choice of one painting over the other... I actually love the distinctive differences between the two.
This overall quality of your canvas is going to depend on the quality level of your paints.. professional level paints has has higher pigmentation and doesn't look as flat vs student level paint which has lower level quality pigmentation that can separate causing the colors to look less bright. Golden Fluid Paint Vs Paint Masters Pouring paint is a good comparison. You can add just water to the Golden Fluid paints without issues whatsoever but student level paints start to separate a bit when diluted.

I like the fact it shows 2 different ideas ! Compare the paints mix overall that was great 👍🏼 I do like the water with paints gives a dreamy flow than other one . ❤️
Both are good. It would depend on what outcome you're looking for. If you don't want cells, water is fine.
