    Trynd is one of the reasons why I want them to change "crit chance" to something like "precision" or something, that just gives a percent increase on auto-attack damage. It averages out to the same thing and it just makes more sense. Not to mention that there is a mechanic in game called luck compensation, if you have 40% crit chance but don't crit after a few autos, you will crit the next auto which means that at full fury, if you auto minions twice and don't crit, you're almost guaranteed to do 2 crits out of 3 next autos and if you don't you know it's time to take a break off the game for a week or two. You can practically determine when your luck is favorable to oogabooga your e into the enemy and get that juicy double crit which no matter what will always force the enemy to flee and not even try to fight back because they can't afford anymore trading.

    A guide on how to beat Tryndamere 100% of the time:
    ACTIVE - Jax enters Evasion, a defensive stance, for 2 seconds, causing all non-turret basic attacks against him to be dodged for the duration. Jax also takes 25% reduced damage from all area of effect abilities sourced from champions. Counter Strike can be recast after 1 second, and does so automatically after the duration ends.
    RECAST - Jax deals physical damage[5] to all nearby enemies, increased by 20% for each attack dodged, up to a 100% increase[6] , and stuns them for 1 second.
    [5] Minimum Physicals Damage 55 / 80 / 105 / 130 / 155 (+ 50% bonus AD)
    [6] Maximum Physical Damage 110 / 160 / 210 / 260 / 310 (+ 100% bonus AD)
    The initial cast and the manual recast count as ability activations for the purposes of on-cast effects such as Spellblade[Sheen] and stacking Force Pulse[Kassadin]. If the ability is not manually recasted, the secondary effect will trigger without being considered as an ability activation.
    Counter Strike will also dodge abilities that can trigger on-hit effects (Parrrley[Gangplank], Mystic Shot[Ezreal] ) which will count towards Counter Strike's increased damage. There are exceptions however.

      With new lethal tempo Jax just straight up wins all trades because he can stack it while in his E and you can only run away from him in the meantime, so as Trynd your only option to actually win 1v1 is wishing the jax is dumb and wastes his Q or E in a dumb way and then immediately force a fight and pray you have enough damage to kill him in those 12 secs.

      @@NeODeLeuX I agree with you about the meta runes for Trynd and Jax, but that's where Trynd's adaptability comes to the rescue. Both FF and Grasp work quite well against Jax. The extra MS you get from FF allows you to win small trades and escape before he jumps on you (enter the bushes) and before he stacks up his LT, often making him waste his stun (the extra healing against champions is also amazing). If you take Grasp, you get tankier which also allows you to outsustain the enemy.
      The summoner spells need to be adapted as well - Ignite or Exhaust instead of Ghost. (I personally prefer to take Ignite, as Jax can jump out of range even if exhausted)
      Items: Stridebreaker is a good option, but you gotta be more TF-oriented;
      You can also go for the standard build with the FF runes.
      With Grasp you can go for a bruiser build (or even the troll full tank build), you'll have free 30 minutes against Jax and afterwards, you should just focus on the backline of the enemy, while your team CCs the Jax.
      In tough matchups, the 1v1s should be a marathon, not a sprint. The Jax lane is similar to the laning phase against Zoe.

    Tryndamere is one of those champs that doesn't really require the person piloting him to play well in order to win but requires the person playing against him to play absolutely perfectly. Tryndamere can make as many mistakes as he wants because, as said in the video, he can just scale and build into a team fighting, tower destroying, AIDS monster later in the game. But if you're playing against him, if you yourself make a SINGLE mistake, he kills you and you're fucked for the rest of the game. The onus isn't on Tryndamere to play better than you to win, the onus is on you not to make a single mistake because of how unforgiving he is to his opponent while being as forgiving as the Pope to the person playing him.
    Plus, I've maintained for a while now that if a champ with Tryndamere's ult were released today, the community would have a collective fit at the idea of a champ being able to become literally invincible for 5 whole seconds. If he wasn't one of the "classic" champs, his ult would at the very least have been reduced to 3 seconds or reworked entirely.

      As for the person in this thread saying Trynd players don't need to think.. You're wrong. I just don't need to use combo 2A in this situation, rather than combo 17D... Basically, I'm not doing calculus in my head about which of my 20 ability combo variations I need to use in any given moment.
      I DO, however, need to think about my level vs yours, my rage bar state, the match-up, items and item/level spikes, who can I actually all-in on the enemy team if I'm joining a team fight, dodging cc, wave management, jg location (both teams), counter jungling, is it safe to split or not, do I have enough mobility to catch someone, do I have my ult available before I all-in, and much MUCH more.
      Just because a champion's kit isn't complex with tooltips that are walls of text, doesn't mean a champion is braindead. It just allows me to focus on the game itself, rather than performing my combos pixel perfectly.

      Oh yeah. Start by making his E cooldown gimmick nonexistent. Make it so it only has flat cooldown that goes lower by levels. Say, 4-5 seconds flat like Jax Q.
      Then make his W ONLY work when they're actually turnt around so he couldnt just instantly remove your stats from range.
      Remove the base healing from his Q and only give it healing when he has rage so Trynd players actually have to interact than just relying on bs regen + fleet + second wind + doran's shield + their Q for a laming phase.
      Then make his ult scale with levels. 3-5 seconds of undeath sounds good, so people actually level it up than just put one point on it and dump the rest of the points on his other abilities.

Either you win the duel but then he ults and spins away +ghost +flash. Or he gets far enough ahead that he can tower dive you with or without a jungler and not worry about trading with his ult. I've always thought that Tryndamere's ultimate should silence all of his basic abilities while it's active. It's UNDYING RAGE not UNDYING COWARDICE.

    Honestly when I was on point in top lane lol, Trynd was one of the few matchups I truly understood, all I had to do was engage when his rage bar was empty & disengage if he was stacking his rage faster than I could kill him, if done correct you can bully him & starve him off of CS, especially if you freeze near your tower.
    Trynd feels like a balanced matchup that you can actually read, react & (try to) outplay, which is a breath of fresh air... Compared to what we normally have to deal with (waifu champs dashing across multiple screens, while their face roll abilities often have 0 counterplay! Camille, Riven or Fiora am I right?)

    • @Geheimnis-c2e
      @Geheimnis-c2e 2 года назад +1

      Hard disagree. Trynd players nowadays KNOW that they can gamble hp for their enemy's resources. Since out of combat sustain is such a menace that Riot actively kills it in place of IN-combat healing (Conq or Aatrox) Trynd players always just attrition the lane. Turning it into a "which one of us has better sustain"
      Comparatively, Irelia/Fiora/Riven players are, despite their obvious superiority complex issues, one-dimensional and easy to predict. You KNOW what they want to do because every single fucking one of them does it. It's like Lee Sin players and their fetishes for flashy InSecs.
      Trynd? You never know if the player is a total brainfart who just rightclicks to win or he's a degenerate who lames his opponents through over the top means of sustaining the lane.

    My only gripes are how he has bruiser/juggernaught levels of regen without being an actual juggernaught and how he has poke that also doubles as disengage, meaning trades with it almost always end up positive.
    This is near pre-rework Pantheon levels of monke mode.

    • @SerialNightmare
      @SerialNightmare 2 года назад

      But he IS an actual juggernaut. It's just optimal for him to build like an adc to maximise damage output (and get the most out of that 5 sec invulnerability from ult).
      As for the poke/disengage, you must be talking about his E. You have to choose to use it for engage or disengage, ESPECIALLY in the early game. This is one of the things that separates the good from the bad Trynd players. Bad ones will literally spin at the enemy to engage, not crit, so the cd isn't reduced, and then have no escape if things go badly. Also, it's not a "poke" ability. Poke is safe, long range damage, that let's you damage without engaging, think of Zoe or Varus Q as examples.
      Lots of people hate on Trynd. Most of the time, it's because they don't understand that he IS balanced. They just don't know how his kit works and how to play around it. Just like all of the players who will EVERY-DAMN-TIME ping Trynd's R if he gets 100-0 in .00001 seconds, and didn't hit his ult in time.
