  • How to easily Calibrate a Peloton Bike (or Bike+). Well, it is certainly easy to calibrate a Peloton Bike+... but if you have an original Peloton Bike, there unfortunetly is a bit more to the process so let's go over how to do it.
    And if you have not calibrated your Peloton Bike, my belief is that you definitely should since you don't get the full value of a Peloton Membership without having accurate metrics.

    Calibration check.
    Before you bother with recalibration check first.
    Set resistance to 45

      I can't even hit 100 rpm at 45... I've had the resistance way harder for years 😂

  • @ohaiberenice111109
    @ohaiberenice111109 2 года назад +1

    Each time I finish twisting the resistance knob 31 times it never reaches “100 resistance” What am I doing wrong? Also, does it make a difference if the discs are facing the neck of the bike (I noticed you are holding on to them so they don’t fall) I’ve seen other videos where the discs are clicked into place but not facing the neck of the bike.

    So I did this but didn’t have the white spacer and it now seems like my 50 is my old 40, it seems ten points “easier.” Do you think I should try to get that spacer?

  • @RSUlch
    @RSUlch 2 года назад

    Well that was easier than I had expected it would be.
    Question, how "firm" should the tension on the flywheel spacer be? (I did mine so it was pretty tight but could still easily be pulled out).
    And, what do you do if the nut that the bottom spacer for the knob doesn't allow you to have the two spacers facing perfectly straight? (mine had to be pointed to just shy of 1 o'clock)

    This video just confirms why the leaderboard is just about useless.

    • @ConnectTheWatts
      @ConnectTheWatts  2 года назад +5

      I like the leaderboard as a way to interact with other members in class... but ya most people using the original Peloton bike (which are like 4 years old in tech at this point) have really badly calibrated bikes so you can't really compare scores unless two people both have some-what recently calibrated Bike+

    I followed all the instructions but with the wedge, I was only able to twist the knob a quarter about 16 times rather than the 31x requires. Should I just calibrate without the wedge?

    I'm wondering if this process has changed? The onscreen instructions say that the resistance knob should be all the way to the left when starting the 31 step process. It seems like the pieces for the dial are still needed, but that you no longer need to remove the bottle holder or place the other piece on the flywheel. Doing so would contradict the on screen instructions from the bike. Which way is correct?

    • @courtneys2813
      @courtneys2813 Год назад

      I had the same question. I followed the video, and I placed the piece on the flywheel

  • @daveray6335

    After two years, it seemed like my output was lessening with the same cadence/resistance. As a test, during several classes, I compared my output to friends' (who agreed to help with my test) output and mine was 10 kJ less, on average. I performed a software factory reset and it is back to normal. Perhaps this will help someone having the same issue. It is worth noting that I have never performed a normal calibration because Peloton refuses to send me a calibration kit. They say that because my bike reads "0" resistance with the knob turned all the way to the left and it reads "100" with the knob turned all the way to the right, that it does not need to be calibrated.

    i have the Bike plus. I still get the B0221 error. i JUST got this bike last month. I can't get a hold of Peloton and tech support hangs up on me when transferred. This is the reason I rented it. I planned on buying it after one year. I didn't have to take an inquiry on my credit for 25 months. Hopefully I can eventually get a hold of them. If not, I'll block my bank card from them.

    Experienced losing calibration while changing resistance during ride. Any help? I go from 45 to 75 on and off during the ride and recently after the second switch the resistance feels heavy on both 45 and 75. I have the Bike + and have used the calibration option several times. Any help?
