For your next monthly testing, can you do it at night like last September? It would look really cool especially on these new lights! BEST RUclipsR EVER!!!
it would be cool if there was an emergency light that only turned on if it loses power AND its dark in the room. that way its saving battery by only turning on if its dark enough to need any light. could also add a motion sensor so its not wasting battery when nobody is in the room. does this exist?
Not that I know of unless it's a configuration that is sometimes done when lighting control systems are used with large inverters but usually during emergency mode it will override all controls anyways
it is interesting to see the canadian way of doing this as in the UK we tend to use bulkhead style fittings that are under 10 to 15 pounds how much do these usually cost
Hey nic that was cool that you liked the video I sent you about the burning building with the fire alarms were going on on Roblox thanks for liking it made my day yesterday for me
Nice man! Also, dumb question, but im working on a roblox game with a school with fire alarms and PA system. What kind of fire alarm system would you like to see?
Nic I agree with you. Not using a box with it this time. Is OK because of the low voltage. After all when you move out you can easily remove them and patch the drywall. But for everyone else who watches Nic's videos. In Canada and the USA. Emergency lighting, and power head lighting needs to be in an electrical box. Especially in a commercial business environment. So everyone find out your National Electrical Codes. In your area. And follow the code books.
@@nics-systems-electric well they do need be but i know plenty of places that do like you did difference is you doing it in your own home not in a commercial apartment complex
Hi Nic wanted to ask you does it not sound weird to you the UK directions I found to smoke alarms stated bottom of alarm to be placed at 2 feet from ceiling ( as wall mount ) ? ps you said your in Canada do they use The NFPA 72 standard ??? thoughts please thank you

Possibly I always need the house to be empty when I do the testing so it is tough to find a time especially at night
I agree
im going to do this in Minnesota (because I like the RUclipsr too much, but don’t judge me)
Plus, we have the young Derek Chauvin in the video.

Getting emergency lighting where needed is great as it makes exits routes better to navigate with out things in the way for faster exits
I would recommend putting some fire caulk around the penetration to the garage since that is likely a firewall.
No fire rated wall material
No way... Your house it's gonna look like a lighthouse when power goes out... 😂
Hahaha
Haha
Lol

I enjoy your videos since I have an interest in electricity
I think you should install FST-951R heat detectors in the bathrooms in the house.
I could if they were all accessible
@@Notifier-457 I was thinking about commenting this too, but I guess you did it for me. Thanks 👍
@@All_ConsumingBandu And maybe install weatherproof strobes in the bathrooms as well.
@@Notifier-457 I've also talked to him about that, and he couldn't find a way to do it, but maybe in the master bathroom
Yess!! thank you!

Cool video
Was watching one of your new videos, you said you named it Fred and to go watch the install video if you want to know why, so why was he named Fred?
This is nice!
must be nice here all remote heads have to be in a pancake box or octagone box depending in the type remote head used
I explain all of that in the video that they do need to be

How heavy is your generator? My mom wants one, and I thought about asking you.
I think around 220 pounds
Hey why don't you but some emergency lights in the basement living room and can you do a power outage in the house
2:15
most units require 24 hours to charge fully from a drained battery as most ship with a partial charge in them for testing before leaving the factory
Yes for sure
