I’m halfway through this video but I just want to say that this is a BEAUTIFUL review. The way you have explained everything so thoroughly has been so helpful. What an amazing review thank you!
Thank you much for sharing I have my first intake on June 25!! I’m glad I found someone in Atlanta like me and my family this was really informative. I hope you get approved on your next visit. Good luck!!
Rachel Young thank you! I’ll definitely be posted another video within the next day or two to provide an update after this meeting today. I already have some updates since this first video that I’ll talk about as well.
Hey girl. Thank you for documenting this process and helping everybody coming after you with this tedious process. You are very blessed by God for your help and more. Thank you again. Shalam.
My initial intake was horrendous and I almost stopped the process. I called many times and never followed through because of changes that were taking place. But watching this video encouraging me to start uploading my documents again and to keep moving forward. I have a new counselor so maybe my second appointment will be better than the first. You’ve provided me with more information than my initial counselor. Thank you.
Shameka Gwynn wow, that’s terrible but honestly, prepare yourself for the worst but hope for the best. I look back at my videos and I never thought I’d get to this point. I will be closing soon so if I can do it, you can too! I continued to have some bad interactions through this process but my mortgage payment is less than what I ever thought it could be for my area. It is worth it! I attended my workshop back in 01/2018 and waiting a whole year to actually start because I was scared that it would be too hard. Don’t give up!
Hey, I’m going to the workshop this weekend, should I bring any documents? And also if you don’t mind me asking which office did you do your intake (location)?
Thank you for this video, I’m doing my research and watching videos because I’m thinking about going through the NACA process to buy my first home. Your video has been by far the best video I’ve seen.
Elle Gunz Yes! By far the best I’ve seen. My wife and I have a rather complex journey though. How can I reach out to you about privately more about organization and preparation. We understand that this may take us a while but we’re in it for the long haul. 🙏🏽
Thank you for all the information for NACA I'm 60 and waiting to get approved for disability. I haven't given up my dream of home ownership. Thank goodness I don't have a lot of debt, but I think after I start receiving disability I'm going to wait 6 months before I attend my NACA workshop because I really want to take care of some things.
I'm looking for your other videos. We are in the early stages of the process with NACA and my husband and I love your videos. We've watched all of the public ones. I was looking for you on Facebook and couldn't find you. Your videos have really helped us. Please let us see the other videos. Your testimony has really been helpful!
I loved your video. It gives a better look at what to expect. Obviously everyone’s situation is different but you explained your experience very well. Thank you for sharing.
Thank u for ur video I went to my workshop feb23 I go to my intake session may 3 but I believe I watched enough video and got my binder. I can’t wait hear about you next appointment because I’m also in Atlanta (south) so I need a video on our office and area so thank you
Hello, I also stay in the North metro Atlanta Area. Right now my family is in the underwriter stage and have been since mid March I want to say. It was only one document needed from u/w got that to them and havent heard from my MC since (She is super nice, very positive, and informative) not sure what happened with the communication. I have a realtor and she is very knowledgeable with NACA (she bought her home thru them) that is ready to jump in, but giving her until next week to respond then we will have to escalate to management. Everyone journey is different and I pray you have a smooth process.
alanda84 are you working with Marvette Critney as your agent? I will say that Atlanta has one underwriter and he took some time off and is just now getting back into the office. I was told 10 business days but you’ve definitely been waiting longer than that. These counselors are swamped, mine only communicates while I’m in the office otherwise he ignores all messages and calls and doesn’t seem to care at all. It’s frustrating when you have questions because I can’t progress unless I have a meeting. I see why it takes so long to get through the process. Good luck to you!
@@legunter1 well yes she is. How did you guess that?! I went to the event yesterday and the underwriter was there he got up to speak, if I'm not mistaken he said its 25 of them under him and one of the guys got up to spoke as well. I spoke with him (u/w) and asked him how long do it take to get approved by u/w he said 5-7 days after the MC send the file. I will agree the communicate is not the best. When I email or send my MC anything I CC my realtor in as well. If you like you can email me alanda1984@yahoo.com if you was to chat off RUclips. You will get through this long and frustrating process! Like you said it is the best mortgage option.!
Wow! I’m in metro Atlanta too. Covington Ga and I too have watched lots of videos and plan on working with Marvette Critney too when I start the NACA process (watched several of her videos also) Best of luck to you both.
Rudy Jenkins FYI just show up at a meeting, they don’t know who’s who and there always people who won’t show up so if you have the availability, go to the next meeting and just sign in
My bf & I have our first intake appt 10/08/19. I just subscribed and saw you're now a homeowner!! Congratulations!!! I'm have to binge watch your videos now 😩😩❤️❤️
Nice video, it seems as if a person process experience will depend on MC as well as location. I have seen videos from buyers and realtors who have praised NACA process and who have told the horror stories of the process. One realtor in SC said their are many sellers and builders in her area who won't even deal with a buyer if they are going through NACA.
Good afternoon I just came to your channel to re-watch one of your videos and noticed some are missing did Naca have a problem with you posting those videos?
missjlockett I chose to make most of them private. I started to feel like my content may be a contributing factor when it comes to the lack of response that I receive from all levels of management. No one will help me when I know they are helping others. So I decided to remove most of the videos because some of my opinions and statements may have offended the wrong people. I’ll make them public but right now, I’m just trying to save my home
Yearly fee of 25. Volunteer 5 times a year for as long as you have the loan, they say this is not strictly enforced but I’m not sure. Starting my process soon.
Arleen Shamon yes and no. Banks require 3% down and NACA doesn’t. But NACA requires a lot more paperwork and require more steps to close on a home. Honestly, a traditional loan is was easier to secure than NACA. NACA has too many people involved in the process, horrible communication and not enough staff. The savings is unmatched with NACA so you have to weigh your options. I’m saving nearly $400 a month with my NACA mortgage vs traditional
Arleen Shamon NACA works off what they call Minimum Required Funds (MRF) and it’s the amount they want you to have saved an in the bank before you can get qualified. These funds are for your earnest money deposit, inspection and termite inspection and closing costs. Each persons MRF is different and based on the purchase price of your home. Also depending on your type of income, they could ask you to save more than what they would ask someone else. So you don’t technically have a down payment but you have regular fees associated with purchasing a home. You also don’t have closing fees but you do have to pay taxes, insurance and interest when you close. I always recommend saving double the MRF, it will come In handy once you move in. There may be unknowns! Hope this helps
